Anyone got any times on how to concentrated and get rid of my nerves? my mate suffered awful with her nerves while going through 8 yes 8 tests. fine all other times but put her on her test and she bottled!
she took calms the night before and the next morning get them from health shops. dont go mad and have the bottle, she passed no problem.
said she felt so much better and could concentrate on driving not fretting so much. also a good one is to explain to your tester that other times you are fine driving its just your test that really puts stress on you. dont tell him you've took calms though. and remember although hes sat next to you. YOU are in charge and you take control. theres nothing he or she can put you through that you've not already done whist driving and you will get through it. they see alot of people going and coming and most can tell if its nerves. and they do allow for some the 1st time they dont want you to pass as to give you more time driving but the 2nd they are abit slacker with people. this in mind takes some off you I hope
GOOD LUCK XXXXXX

[:I][][][] YEP U GUESS IT I FAILED, THE INSTRUCTOR WAS SO UNFRIENDLY, DIDNT CHAT OR ANYTHING ( UNLIKE MY OTHER INSTRUCTOR B4) WITHIN 5 MINS OF THE TEST I WAS ASKED TO DO PARRELL PARKING WITH A CAR FACING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION ( TOWARDS ME ) [:0] SOMETHING IVE NEVER DONE B4, MY INSTRUCTOR WAS MORIFIED THAT HE TOLD ME TO DO THIS, HIS NEVER COME ACROSS IT B4, ANYWAY I WAS CONFUSED ON HOW TO DO THIS, DIDNT KNOW WHERE TO LINE MYSELF UP, WHEN TO DO THE COMPLETE TURN OR ANYTHING, I HAD THE ADDED PRESSURES OF A CAR WAITING FOR ME TO GO AND A DROPPED CURB I COULDNT SEE!!! SO I GAVE IT MY ALL AND WENT UP ONTO THE CURB [V] AFTER BURSTING INTO TEARS I WAS TOLD TO MOVE ON, SO KNOWING I FAILED THERE AND THEN MY WHOLE TEST WENT PEAR SHAPED. IVE RE BOOKED ANOTHER TEST AND NO AN EXTRA 50 DOWN ITS IN AUGUST, IF I DONT PASS THIS TIME I DUNNO WHAT TO DO.

Your examiner sounds like the one I got! I think it's only a certain cheerless type who become driving examiners.I passed my test in 1978 when the roads weren't so chaotic, I don't envy you learning now. I didn't pass first time either.
All you can do babe is practice at every opportunity (I presume you've passed the theory already?), especially anything you know you're weak on.
The best advice I can give you is anticipate what's happening ahead of you and assume that every other road user is an idiot!!
The other thing you can do, though I don't know if it will help [], is to imagine your examiner on the toilet (it'll make him/him seem more normal and less frightening!!!!!)
