Hi geddyboy

How are you doing? Sorry that the lipotrim thread is on the womens health page but it really is for all of us adiposally challenged!

Come back to us and we can all have a group hug while you tell us of your weight loss. It is a new thread but we are on the first page of threads.

Kind regards
Linda [:X]

hello all,
i started lipotrim yesterday, i am 19 stone 12lb and would like to be about fifteen stone - how long do you think it will take me. i heard that men lose more than women over the month, is this true?
whats the average weight loss in the first week as i need a good loss for incentive.
i feel ok, but am a bit hungry, especially after the kids have their tea.

Hi mike,

I started this madness that is known as lipo !! two full weeks ago on Thursday June 23rd, I weighed in at 18stone 10lb, in the first week i lost 14 pounds to my amazement. Yesterday i weighed in again (ashgrove pharmacy) and lost 5lb which is very good but i have to be honest thought it may be more. Anyways i now weigh 17' 5"

I am well chuffed. Decided this week that I would add a little exercise to it and see what results I get next week. Very keen to shift the weight and start eating again, sure this time I will appreciate healthy foods etc.

I lost weight some years ago through slimming world and massive amounts of gyming and swimming. That time round I lost 9stone over approx 8 months which was far to fast but it worked. 21stone down to 12stone. Kept it off for approx 4yrs then moved to Bristol, changed jobs and over the last couple of years managed to put on 7stone. Tried the slimming world thing but just couldn't get my head around it this time. A friend suggested this, horrified me, the thought of it. Stewed on it for a couple of months then decided enough is enough give it a go.

Would be a lie if I said that it's a breeze, some days are easy others are bloody awful just want to quit. Sure you have felt the same? It is true about men losing it faster. When is your weigh in?? How's the hunger now? It really does go after the first week, very weird no food in you and no hunger.

Anyways must go now, get back to me. I have put a few posts on the women's pages as there is a lot more chat going on over there, which is hardly surprising. Would be nice to hear how you and other blokes are getting on.

Hi joe
well i had my first weigh in and could not beleive that i also lost 11lbs the first week. i also attend ashgrove pharmacy (god it sounds like AA) anyway very suprised at my first weigh in. i lapsed a bit on saturday as we had the boys footy tornament and everyone was eating exept me so i had a pack of peanuts and that led on to 4 pints of Cider and by the end of the night i was tucking into a chinease. christ what a let down for our team but sunday morning started back again so this is in the right direction and im gonna stick to it. yeah your right some days are better than other but my wife is also on it so it should be easier for me. lets see how it goes speak soon.
cheers

Hi All,

I just wanted to share my experiences with you all. I am 42 years old and was 20 stone and 10 pounds on the 15th August 2005. As a child I was always a skinny child and when I grew up into an adult at 21 years old, I was only 10 stone and 7 pounds. Up to that age, I could eat and eat and not put one pound on. BUT .... Once I turned 21, I couldn't get away with it anymore and gradually my weight started to creep up. At first, I didn't really take it too seriously, but I then started to realized that people think that being fat is a licence to say what they like to your face and this got me down and has taken a very big knock to my personal self esteem at that age. However, in time you learn to become more resilent to people comments, which is a bad thing as you are personally devaluing yourself as a human being. Once I got to about 14 stone, I started many many diets of various shapes and forms and did have some success with them. On the whole though, it was 2 steps forward and three steps back as I have managed to lose up to 3 stone at times , but gain 4 stone back. It would also be fair to say that I have made many many excuses for why I am the weight I am. I am in middle management and do not exercise regularly. But as you get older, you realise the reason is simple. YOU EAT MORE FOOD THAT YOU NEED AND DONT EXERCISE ENOUGH ... and that needs to change.

Anyway, I was 20 stone and 10 pounds and a fortunate event changed my life in July 2005. I was on holiday in Spain and where I was staying I met a person who lost 12 stone using LT and came down for 26 stone to 14 stone in SIX MONTHS. During my two weeks, we spoke many times about this and he has been a great inspiration to me and for that I am extremely grateful. I started LT on the 16th August and have lost 2 stone and 3 pounds in 20 days only. Don't be under any elusions, LT is hard core and not easy and I am still taking each day as it comes, but the results so far have been amazing. The first week is very difficult and the shakes/soup is not that great, but if you keep at it, I am sure you will succeed. I am very pleased that I have found this site to know I am not alone.

Good Luck to you all.

John Boy

hi tank

just being nosey -

the men's forum is a bit quiet so just wanted to say you are welcome to join us girls over at the women's health page, on the LIPOTRIM MEMBERS THREAD - there's loads of support over there constantly should you need it, plus tips and answers... we've had several men join us there before.

recipes on page 38 or 29 over there, plus i hate the chicken soup too and just have strawberry and chocolate.

bye for now, nancy
