Good Morning All!!

I will be sending my husband to the doctor as I can't find anything about the Mirena Coil causing side effects for men. I was just wondering if this is possible. AI have had mine for about a month and a couple weeks ago my husbands penis has started peeling as if he has a sunburn on it!! 2 things wrong with this ... it is almost impossible to get a sunburn in England (especially during the winter) and as he has psoriasis ... it isn't the same sort of peeling because the skin is still soft and coming off in long thin pieces ... Before anyone asks neither of us have been sleeping around. We have 5 children already and neither of us need to run further risk of more .. and we love each other, who needs it?

Anyway ... have any other men had a problem like this? Do you know what the cause of yours was?

life is full of surprises ... and I have 5 of them!![Razzer]

First of all you be careful with that Mirena coil, watch
for sypmptons like depression and weight gain. I hate the darn thing.

Your husband sounds like he has thrush, this is easily treated with some cream like Caniston?? sorry I can't remember what its called.

You also need to be treated or you just keep reinfecting each other.

It could also be his psoriasis hun, flexural psoriasis can affect the softer tissues and can become very sore and shed skin in this way rather than the scaling. If its bright red and shiny its probebly that but Id still get the doc to check it out.

hi there i to recently had the mirena coil fitted and might sound strange but it could be the 2 strings that are left out that may be irritating your husband either that or the hormone thats in the coil may be disagreeing with him an allergy of some sort but id defo get it looked at or look it up on the internet.
