Hello bud.

As I have said before if you don't cheat and just have the 4 foodpacks then either you will lose weight or you'll fall over.

Just make sure you drink a lot of water, I drink around 6 to 7 litres a day which speeds the weight loss up dramatically over say 2 to 4 litres.

Hi Guys!

Hope your all doing OK - Dust are you out there - how did you get on Saturday? Hope your meeting went well. I went to mine yesterday and started today [Big Grin] Had a pretty good day. Have managed 5 litres of water and just going to have last food pack - guess for a few days they will be trial and error till I settle on ones I like - had lumpy raspberry shake [Frowner] and a rather yummy veg soup. Feeling v positive and know I can and will do this

Jordybizzle - you can get the CD water flavourings from ebay - around 12 for 2 different flavoured tubs.

Question for you Ice - my C said yesterday that we can only have Tabasco that is not made with vinegar - I had already bought some and it contains vinegar - does your's? (as I know your a big fan!) - if it doesn't where did you get it from? Managed to get some of the Marigold Bouillon for next week....thanks in advance for your advice.

Anyway, keep going guys you can do this - Brad Pitt move over the LL guys are on their way!!!

Mich x

Mich the only Tabasco you can have is the normal strength red one.

This means you can't have the green jalapeno one or the HOT strength red one (that contains loads of sugar and cr4p)

Anyway the normal strength red tabasco contains Red Pepper, Vinegar and Salt and is definately ok on Lighterlife.

It even says in my Lighterlife manual you can have it.

AND IT IS LOVELY!!

Hi Ice!

Thats the one I've got which I thought was OK but the C said something yesterday about if it contains vinegar you can't have it - even though like you said it says in the manual you can - I am seeing her tomorrow so will take it and double check - hope I can[Smiler]

Thanks for your advice - as always invaluable.

Have a good day tomorrow - no trick or treating anymore[Big Grin]

Hi People, my names aly and I am intending to start Lighter life within the next couple of weeks, im 19 about 5'4 and weigh 13 and half stone roughly, im a student and think that I will find it hard but losing three stone ar thereabouts would make me so much happier, I was wondering about thinks like alcohol, what are you allowed, if anything, im not a drinker but with the holiday season coming up wtc I think it would be very hard, and how are we meant to deal with that by the way, you can eat a freeze dried thing while everyone else is eating turkey! surely not! im just researching it at the moment but am very very keen and willing, and as my dad will be paying means my money is freed up for new clothes, yay! it just seems like something I could do, but I odnt even know if I will be allowed due to my age and things, does anyone have any answers to these? thanx, Aly xx

Hey guys thanks for the info! I managed to find the CD Water Flavourings on eBay but I am concerned about the orange flavoured tub. Has it got citric acid in? My C has told me that the citric acid in my vitamin c tablets mess up the diet so I'm worried!

I did extremely well yesterday with my water, 11 litres. I hope today will be the same.

Hi guys - good to see there's a bit of chat going now. last time I posted it was very quiet.. I have my first big weigh in tonight. I actually started the programme on a Sunday and our meetings are on Tuesday so I had a weigh in after 3 days and I'm not counting that! I know you're not supposed to but I tried the scales this morning and I reckon I've lost 1 stone in the 10 days so if that's reflected on her scales tonight I'll be more than happy.

I thought the dodging out of events and dinners etc would be really tough but quite honestly it gets easier the more you do it.

Anyway let's keep the chat going....

Hey KittyFeet I don't think age should be a problem for you. I'm 17 and started LL last year when I was 16 but had to come off due to medical reasons. If your doctor says that its OK for you to go on LL it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helped!

Hi everyone an Mich40 - Started LL on Saturday and finding it extremely difficult - its really depressing me - its nearly 7pm
and all i've managed so far is 1 foodpack and half a litre of water.
Don't know what to do :-s

Went back on Tuesday to see if i was in Ketosis etc and i had lost 9lb which i was pleased about, but its still really getting me down.
Maybe it'll be better when i get back to work.

How about you Mich?

Hi guys!

How you all doing? Hope your all being good[Big Grin]

Dust - I'm doing Ok - you have had a fantastic mid-week loss - 9lb - wow you should be well chuffed[Big Grin]I think it might help you if you could read more on other people's stories - have you had a look at Ice's blog? the link is on here - why not come over onto the women's forum for a natter and some inspiration? - There is a thread call LL starters in November - there are loads of people on there who all started within a few days of each other - it really is a good support network - I know Ice posts regularly but some of the other guys don't seem to on a daily basis - though there are some on the women's health that do. There are recipies on what to do with the packs - my fav is chocmint - 2 peppermint tea bags in a big mug, pour on boiling water, leave for 5 mins, put in the blender with choc shake and whizz for bout minute - really scrummy[Big Grin] I quite like the soups too. I microwaved one of the bars cut into tiny slices tonight and they were like chewy bics - nice - is it the tast of the packs you are not keen on? The water though is the key thing everyone says just drink and drink and drink - I am managing about 5 litres a day - not so much today as have been out and about - work is better perhaps like you say it'll be better when you get back to work - I would definately recommend reading Ice's blog - it's very good with loads of tips and advice and gives you another man's perspective on this crazy diet[Big Grin] I am actually starting to enjoy it - strange though that is! Mind you hubby just gone to get 'chippy' chips - how rude! Think I will lock myself in the playroom (where the comp is) till he's ate them - bet they give him indigestion[}Smiler]

Keep going mate - it'll really be worth it - wait till the scales on Saturday - bet you've lost loads more[Big Grin] and get your butt over to the women's forum - loads of lovely ladies to spur you on, mother you and give you advice [Big Grin]

Take care
Mich

Hey Mich

How are you finding it?
I'm having a really bad time, i can't find anything positive at all!
I've only managed one pack today with 5 pints of water, and its now
just after 11pm. I have my first week meeting tomorrow, but it feels like i've been doing this forever [Frowner]
Feel so lost

Hey Dust

Only just looked at your message - sorry I didn't get back to you last night I was babysitting my friends kids. Wish I had you sounds so sad[Frowner]

Sorry to hear you are having such a bad time with the diet - hope by now you have been to your meeting and spoken to your C and fellow members and more importantly been weighed and that has given you the huge boost you need - if you'd lost 9lbs at pop in bet your weight loss is fab[Big Grin]

You did good yesterday upping the water to 5 pints - better than 1/2 litre the other day that's for sure[Smiler] The only thing is you must, must eat the foodpacks and drink the water else you will be poorly[xx(]Have you tried any of the recipies? Is there no one with you at home to support you in this?

It does feel like a huge mountain to climb but if you want to do it you will - you are young and have your whole life ahead of you - take it from me do it now while you are young - I have messed about with different diets all my adult life and feel I have wasted so much time and money and have missed out on doing so much because of my weight - don't let this happen to you - you deserve and are worth a happy fulfilling life and you can do this. If I can stick to it then anyone can[Smiler]

Let me know how you have got on today - I am sure you will do really well and I hope you have spoken through your feelings with your C - she/he is there to help you too - so take advantage of that. Hope you are feeling more positive today - come over to the women's forum it is really worth it - the thread I am on is 'LL starters in November' - everyone is really friendly and helpful.

Take care and chin up - you will get through this - we all will[Big Grin]

Mich x

Hi Guys and Gals,
Weigh-in this morning, bit of a lean week on the water and still suffering some viral cold type thing, been hanging around for about 4 weeks, but I queried whether the diet might knock my immune system and the response was no.
4 lbs lost last week making my total 3st 11lbs in 8 weeks, this time next week I hope to be in the 23 stone bracket (first time for a couple of years)
Good luck all

Chewwy
