I'm in week 9 now and have lost 2 and a half stone so far. Lighter life is a food replacement programme, you have no food at all and you need to drink 4 litres of water a day. To start you must have 3 stone at least to lose. It costs 45 a week, that supplies you with all the food you need for the week and you also have a 2 hour counselling session with your group. There will be between 6 and 10 in your group. You do various tasks, the point is to fin dout why you have got so big and to tackle it.
They guarantee 3 stone in 3 months if you stick to it. After the inital 3 months (phase 1) you have a few choices. You can go onto phase 2 to lose more weight, or you can go on to maintenance. You learn to eat properly, are given menu plans and attend meetings for that too. After then, you're on your own. You can pop in to see your C any time usually. The support on these forums is great. Come over to the womens if you want to read up a little bit. There are quite a few guys so you won't be alone.
Hi guys, started on LL 2 weeks ago.First week was fantastic, did not have any carb withdrawal syndrome and lost almost 9pounds!!!Was really excited but quite bomb this week lost only 2 pounds and i have stuck with it all through and through.Wondering what i've done wrong.

Hi all those on lighterlife! i have just heard about this product from a friend of a friend and am seriously thinking of trying it. I did the 'Cambridge diet' when I was a teenager, but no starve diets since. I am usually an avid gillian mckeith follower, so the idea of filling my body with artificial chemicals is scaring me a bit, I am also intolerant of dairy, so is this diet going to be any good for me? I so want to do it though as I am 14 stones and always used to be 9. I can't bear to look in the mirror anymore, and have been single for 2 years because I ballooned from 12 to 14 in the last couple of years, so I am desperate!! I want to see my hip bones again!! Anyone got any idea about how bad it is for you, and whether there is much dairy, and how many harmful sweetners and flavourings are in it. I'm sure it says on the back? Swedie x xxxxxxxxxx

You guy's are really lucky, I have been to two meetings, couldn't wait to get started, but I couldn't get an appointment with my Dr, Finally saw her yesterday and she said she didn't believe in meal replacement diets, so wouldn't sign my form, but she did say my Blood pressure was quite high and that if I ate less I would loose weight!!!

GGee just a thought why not try The Cambridge Diet, if your not on any medication, you don't need a doctors signature, its more or less the same as LL just bigger choice in flavours etc...and a whole lot cheaper too, feel free to e-mail me with any further questions sr.lewis1@btinternet.com Stacey
