Hi all, Just started LL a week ago. Started at 21 St 11 LB. So far 17 pounds lost and first week was a doddle, strangely.

My LL counsellor is brilliant. Anyone considering doing it in the Sutton area, I would definately recommend it.

Week two has started of slightly harder. Smells are more prominent. Adverts on the telly are all for food. Going to Florida at the end of May for two weeks. Anyone got any coping strategies for holiday and weeks two and three, I would be very gratefull.

Good luck to all

Luca

I just mad myself a very nice chocolate muffin with the choc shake LL pack. Mix with a small amount of water, sweetened with dissolved saccharin or candarel pills until you get a paste like consistency.

For a small thick muffin, use a ramekin, or for a thinner larger muffin, use a bowl, like a cereal bowl.

Try and scrape as much of the mixture off the sides of the dish and into the rest, otherwise these will just burn. Microwave and watch as it cooks.

Initially, it will puff up and start to rise. Every 30-45 seconds check consistency with a small knife. I cooked mine for about 1 minute 30 to 2 minutes.

Allow to cool and run a knife round the sides to release it from the bowl.

EAT!!!

This can be made with any shake pack.

Regards

Luca

Approaching week 3 on LL. Lost 28lbs so far, and expect 5lbs loss this week. Find the food packs a real struggle as they all now taste horrid, but small price to pay and I can put up with it for another 6-8 weeks.

Starting Weight 21st 4lbs, target 15st. I might even be way there by end of week 4. Target weekly weight loss is 5lbs.

As for exercise, after a sedentary first week I am now going to the Gym 3 times a week, mainly concentrating on the Concept 2 rower and out on my bike where I am covering over 80 miles a week.

Whitewine, we make the crisps with the Veggie pack, you can use the mushroom but I find it too salty.

Make the pack into a paste in a bowl to the consistency of thick paste like toothpaste. Then spread it very thinly on baking paper, no more than 2mm thick in round shapes about 4cm diameter. Then microwave for 1m 30secs. You may need to experiment with the time depending on your microwave. They crisp up as they cool and using a normal knife slide under each crisp and place in a bowl.

Add Tabasco to the paste for Chilli crisps.

Good luck all and have a look at the weightloss forum, lots of inspiration there.

John

Hi everyone,

Just heard of LL 2 days ago, a friend I hav'nt seen for a while, I couldnt believe the change! I eagerly contacted my local councellor, but to be honest, she is not that responsive. I really want to get going, has anyone got any advise on buying food packs on ebay? or should I be a bit more patient.

Well done for losing so much, thanks for the advise, I have just started (this is my 3rd day) councellor is really nice, I bet you feel great having lost so much weight in such a short time. I have already found people to be quite critical (including GP)but that just makes me more determined, still feeling a bit hungry though!

Me again, all seems fine now in the No1 & 2 department, was just an adjustment period i was told. Well just had my week 3 weigh in and i have lost 1 stone 13 pounds in total. I had real problems with the soups by week 2, so i am only using the nut bars and shake mixes. I also have got both the sweet drink mixes and the savory drink. I am doing the 4 litres of water no problem. I have found that i use the choc shake as hot chocolate at night and some times with a spoon of coffee in it for my morning drink, i also like to to make a frothy latte drink by making a hot vanilla shake with a spoon of coffee in it. I am going to try a couple of soups again this week. My councillor is OK but i get the feeling the blokes are less well treated, we have had NO group sessions so far? only me on my own with not much chat? but i am promised that there will be 3 blokes at tonights meeting, i have had to change my day from a tuesday to a thursday to meet the other guys, so hope this helps. I feel much better loosing nearly 2 stone, my trousers and shirts feel loads better, i have also started swimming and doing sit ups every night, i feel in control, its great. I cannot recomend this programme enough. My biggest challenge will be the maintenance side of it, i really do not want to put ANY of my loss back on. So we will see, here comes week 4!!!!!!!! Wishing you all well....

Big hugs...
