A while ago, I started to notice that the skin at the top of my thigh, towards the groin area, felt moist towards every evening. This is an area which sweats a fair bit anyway due to its location, but never excessively. There also seemed to be an odor and mild itching which made me think I had some form of fungal infection. I have tried using an over the counter anti-fungal spray (Lamisil) on numerous occasions, and the problem doesn't seem to be going away. When I look at the skin in my groin area, the skin seems to be red and seems to break easily.
I'm a bit embarassed about going to the doctors, so I was wondering if anybody had any ideas what it could be.

You need Canesten cream, lowest strength available, applied sparingly 3 times daily, wash carefully before each application, blot area dry with kitchen roll instead of a towel because the infection can be passed on or back to you on a towel. It's probably thrush, or Dhobi itch. Why are you embarrassed to see a doctor..that's what they are for! They've seen it all before, honestly! Windy
