Well just weighed in for the end of week 3 this morning and the total down is now 18lbs! Big Grin It's definately a lot easier to stick with now, i considered going to maintenance briefly since i did miss food but am determined to stay on the two shakes a day for a few weeks more.

Well done on your 18lb loss, thats brilliant for only three weeks!

Thats definately the best approach, i'm in my sixth (or seventh ?? , lost track by now) week and nearly every week there has been a day or two where i'm feeling sod it ..i've had enough of not eating real food. But always tell myself to sleep on it and if I feel the same the next day to quit..but haven't got there yet.

I finally got down to single figure kilos to loose this morning which is a massive motivator, the double figure amounts for some reason sound so much more intimidating, at last the end is in sight!

Hi out there, just finishing day three, (over a weekend) with the family eating all the real food around me, NIGHTMARE. How long does it take to get into Ketosis? was well disapointed on the morning of day three to show no signs!!!!! Like the idea of the curry powder in the soup it does need something more than the cardboard undertaste. Waiting a few day to sample the delights of the Vanilla although the Chocalate is sufferable. I hope this isn't a grand scheme by the women to punish men!!!!

Started lipotrim on Sunday.

Two friends of mine who are soon to be married put me on to this. One of them has lost as huge amount since last Autumn, the other used it as a 1 month trim down recently. I plan to lose up to 4 stone, initially I'll do the 1 month bit to convince myself it works and I can handle it and also check the 'bounce back' factor - although I'm told this is minimal if you eat sensibly. I think my basic diet was sensible just not designed to lose weight. I'll then go back to it in the Autumn for two months and maybe another month next spring. If I do lose the extra stone the bounce back factor is greatly reduced anyway.

The story so far.

Psyched myself up on Saturday, including the final beer for a while (sob) and started Sunday with a black coffee. Tried the vanilla (my chemist gave me mainly vanilla, 3 chicken and 1 chocolate - may have to change that). Doesn't taste too bad but the texture sn't appealing.

My friends had forwarned me about the early side effects.

Had a hunger pang abput 14.00, didn't last long and wasn't bad (could happen even with food) and felt tired for a while late afternoon - which again an easily happen on a hot restful afternoon. Tried the chicken in the evening. Not bad hot although I doubt it would be that pleasant cold. The advice I've been given here is a dash of tabasco sauce.

Double vanilla yesterday and in the evening tried it with a spoon of coffee which worked well.

Feeling fine and not missing food as much as I feared (although starting to dream of steak [Wink]). Probably get first weighing on Friday when I go back for supplies though might suggest Monday.

Hi nearlythere!

Don't worry about refeed/maintenance! If you do it properly, you will still be ingesting less calories/fat than your body actually needs thus putting on weight is not really possible.

Obviously your body will start rebuilding a reserve of glycogen but not enough to make you gain weight.

When I did LT last year, I kept on losing weight (very small amounts obviously) for 2 or 3 weeks. Don't stress! Wink

Well done for losing all the weight anyway and make sure to change your habits so you don't have to go through that again! Smiler

So, anybody here doing LT at the moment?

I'm on day 8 and going to the chemist tomorrow for my first weigh in. I didn't get weighed when I started as I had 9 days worth of shakes left over from last year. As a result I won't know how much I lost the first week which is always the most satisfying week as you probably know... Frowner

Hi all. Smiler
Right, I've just started lipotrim and am now on day 2.
I'm going to attempt to keep a weekly diary on here after my weigh-ins.

I'm on Lipotrim with my girlfriend Lisa. (she found out about it, and decided we should give it a go.)
I don't particularly consider myself all that big, although, the chart says I'm OBESE!
I'm 6'1 tall, and weigh 16 1/2stone.(2days ago) I wear 36" waist jeans, and would just like to fit into a pair of 32's.
I guess my ideal weight would be 14 1/2 stone, so I hope to not be on this tough regime for too long.
Lisa and I have both found it pretty hard so far, but we're pulling eachother through it together, and call eachother to offer support throughout the day.
Lisa craves cheese the most, and I'm just dying for a creme egg!!!

Any hints or tips to get through the 1st couple of weeks?
How about any hints on making the food taste better? Is it ok use curry powder in the soup?
And last of all, what about the awful taste in the mouth when you go into ketosis? I've been using mouthwash up to now, but it's effects don't last long.

Anyway, signing off now. I'll come back next week, and fill you all in on the 1st week's progress.

Can I just ask, as someone who's only just heard of Lipotrim but very interested in doing it.... what kind of shape does such rapid weight loss leave you in? i.e. loads of loose flab all over, or do you just need a little bit of toning up when you're done? What about muscle? Does it all but disappear or do you find that it's mostly intact?

I have about 3 to 3.5 stone to lose (although the BMI chart says I should lose nearly 5, but i'd be a skeleton!) and in my current state exercise is very hard for me. I guess I just need to know whether it will be much easier when I'm done.

hi im thinking about doing this plan due to needing to lose roughly 2 and a 1/2 to 3 stone.

ive just got a couple of questions:

1. When you walk into the chemist to get it do you ask at the counter or are they on the shelf?

2.Do you need to stick to any particular times you have the shakes?

3.How much does this cost? i looked on ebay and they are going for £100 for 2 weeks supply? does that mean for a month from the chemist its going to cost me £200?!

4.Is this plan designed to work only with lots of exercise?

5.I smoke- will that matter on the eating plan?

thank you very much ill look forward to your answers.

Big Grin
Just thought I would put this on to try and encourage others. I am just about to finish week 8 and have lost almost 3 1/2 stone. It was hard at the start, tired and grumpy but after a couple of weeks things got better. I tried to take the shakes at lunch time and tea time.
Looking forward to some real food and hopefully will continue to lose more weight.
I found after week three energy levels improved started walking every day and go to the gym three times a week now. I felt that I wanted to do exercise, not that it is required for the diet
It is expensive at £55 a week but you have to remember you will not be buying any other food.
The chemist I use will take you away from the public area and take your weight and supply a week supply of lipo at a time. You cannot purchase lipo over the counter. I would not be sure about buying from ebay as using the chemist is all part of the diet, the weekly weigh in definately helps.

Hope this is of use to someone.

Hi guys,

Im looking to start lipotrim in about a month after my holidays. Does anyone have any basic does or dont's? Is it true that you cant chew chewing gum because i would imagine that your breath would be quite unpleasant after a cople of weeks without food??

Thanks

I have been on (and more often off) of this diet for about a year now.

My record is two stone in two weeks, but then I was 25 stone, so it was a drop in the ocean really.

Currently back on it again Frowner starting yesterday.

It always seems easier to fall off the wagon than it does to stay on it, but this time I have a bet to win so here's hoping...

I have a couple of tips to share with you...

Split the meals in half, yes it can be messy unless you are really careful, (We used a good set of scales and cheap supermarket freezer bags) but with 4 meals a day instead of two it makes it easier to bear and gives you something to look forward to.

If you are a really big bloke make sure you drink at least 4 litres of water a day, this way there should be no flappy skin.

If like me you are out in the car a lot, buy a urine bottle for those little "emergencies" On this diet when you have to go, you really do have to go!!!

Buy the shaker if you can't use a blender, your chemist should have them, or can order them for £5.00.

I invested in a magic bullet which makes the shakes up lovelly.

Don't buy the flapjacks unless you like eating cardboard!!!

Well I'm off now to drink another bottle of water now. Good luck to you all!
