Hi Gents (and Ladies too!!)

I see we are in the minority here, which is cool, however I thought I would give any men who are struggling with Lipotrim a ray of hope.

I have just finished my 6th week of Lipotrim and have lost exactly 2 stone. I am over the moon!! In the beginning it wasn't easy, however after a few days I really got into it. The week before last I only lost 2 lbs which I was gutted about and could have fallen off and broken it. I didn't as I just kept telling myself how much better I felt, how much more energy I have and how I can now fit into clothes I hadn't fitted into in almost 5 years.

I know another gentleman who has lost 4 stone on lipotrim and although it wasn't easy either, the results are amazing, he looks great.

If there any other men out there who have so far had as much success as I have had, please post here to give other men some confidence that it isn't just the ladies who can lose on lipotrim.

Thanks.

Hi there,

I was on the Lipotrim diet for much of the early part of last year and did very well on it - I averaged a 2.2kg weight loss per week (not sure what that is in lbs).

As of today I am back on the programme and looking forward to a similar rate of weightloss.

Wow it's great to see feedback from guys who've been on lipotrim for a while. I've just started 4 days ago (14th March) and while i've been strict with myself it hasn't been easy.

I would've killed for a chicken ball yesterday and was dreaming about a lovely fry-up last night! [Big Grin]

I was bang on 14 stone when i started and at 5'4" i'd like to lose at least three stone, if i somehow pulled that off in 6 weeks or so i'd be over the moon [:0]

Thanks for starting this thread fjc2407 i'll keep everyone upto date on my progress over the next weeks and months.[Smiler]

Hi lads (and helpful lassies),

Am on day 2 of LT today, and it's a pain in the arse now, after being quite easy to start. I'm sure if I get through the next two days of so, it'll start to get easier again.

I have about 33lb to lose, which should be doable in less than 8 weeks, so I am keeping motivated that it's not too long to accomplish something that will make such a difference.

Can I ask, fjc2407, if you borke it the week you only lost 2lb? You did well to keep going with it, I would have felt fairly downhearted after a result like that, so well done.

Anyone got any advice on the "food" itself? I've noticed that adding pepper to the soup yesterday made it far more eatable, but the vanilla shakes are a lost cause for me. Yuck. Is anyone having the flapjacks? It's one shake and 2 flapjacks for a guy, right?

Hi lads,

I thought the Vanilla was vile initillially too, but after about a week or so seems like my taste buds changed and think its ok now.
That said its usually a chocolate or strawberry shake in the morning then a soup with loads of curry powder in the evenings.

If the bloody weather ever warms up this year will ditch the soup and just have two shakes.

I'm starting week four today and by now the cravings mostly have gone, just lash into the water when my stomach grumbles.

Jaysus tinner, 3 stones in six weeks is fantastic, well done!!
I'm about 1.5 stone down after three weeks and the rate of drop has definitely tapered off a bit, but still loosing about 2KG a week which is still around the advertised 1.5 stone a month.

I hope to be at target in mid May, then do maintenance and hopefully stabilised by the start of the World cup..as no doubt that may involve one or two beers *ahem*.

Nice to see some other Dubs in here too Smiler

Keep at it dublo, the first few days are the hardest by a long way, think everyneeds a while to physically and mentally adjust to the diet. Just keep drinking water and try to think of something else..going for a piss every 15 mins will keep you busy Wink
You can add stuff to the soup, personally i grate garlic, put about a tablespoon of curry powder (hot), some dried parsley and oragano into the mixture with no effect whatsoever on ketosis, someone a while ago posted what is acceptable to add to it.
Some people fine coffee in the vanilla made it better but personally found after about a week it was an acquired taste, but still would have it maybe only one day a week and the choc/straw 3/3 and the soup in the evenings after work.

BTW the "Supplement Store" on Camden street does protein shakers( exact same principle to make an LT shake) for a fiver which are very handy if you need to make a LT shake in the morning (no blender waking the whole building up) or on the go, Argos also do something similar for twice the price though and looks exactly the same except with different branding.

Great advice, PB, thanks...

I'm afraid I couldn't bring myself to drink the vanilla one. It is putrid beyond belief. Even now, starting day three and ravenous, it has no appeal whatsoever (and I'm ready to eat my own hand I'm so hungry).

It will be interesting to try one again in a week or so to see if I have developed a new taste for it. In the meantime though, I'm happy with strawberry in the morning and soup in the evening. What's the deal with flapjacks though? It seems that it would help to have a morning shake and two flapjacks during the day to space things out. Anyone doing that?

I'll have a look through the other posts and see if there's any more advice and info for getting adjusted in these early days.

Well guys the verdicts in, week one and i'm down 9 lbs!!

Over the bloody moon Big Grin

I have to admit it was tough though, man i was (and still am) craving sweet n sour chicken balls like nobodys business Smiler

Haven't slipped even once which i'm proud of despite many opportunities. Thankfully none of the shakes bother me too much in fact i actually like the vanilla ones. Having the chicken soup for the first time as i type this and it's not half as bad as i thought it would be plus it's nice to have a 'hot meal' for the first time in a week.

Keep it going lads, it's worth it not breaking it.

Hi Lads,

I have been on Lipotrim for 10 weeks and have lost 3 stone and 1 lb. I am over the moon! I started re-feeding last Saturday and it is great to taste some food again. It also great to be able to fit into clothes that are much much smaller than I used to wear..

To answer the question posted, did i break the Lipotrim the week I only lost 2lbs, no i didn't break it, but I didn't drink enough water either. I was on hols in Ireland - must have been enjoying the craic too much!! The key for me throughout it was to drink loads of water, I tried to drink about 4 litres per day which is a lot i know but it really helped.

Anyway lets keep posting on her lads, so the girls don't think they are the only ones that are on Lipotrim.

Thanks
Finbarr

I'm having the same this week, took a long weekend for paddies and only drank about two litres per day if even that and lost nothing until yesterday..well miffed. Upped water to 5 litres on wednesday and on thurs had a little loss and this morning the usual .3 ish kilos ..so should be about 1.5kg lighter than I am..am well peeved with myself!!

Bottom line..need to keep the water intake at 5-6 litres no matter what..sooner I can eat real food the better!! (ending week four this week).

Finbarr how are you finding going to the jacks? First week was fine, now it seems to be a once weekly affair, even with the fibreclear and nothing happens bar windiness unless I use the Dulcolax, any tips ?!!
Did read "Glucomannan" powder is a great natural fibre with other health benifits, was thinking of trying that instead of the fibreclear which frankly doesnt seem to be doing anything at all for me.

hiya...

I went on lipotrim this morning after getting it yesterday...it was embarrassing...I was weighed in the shop not in some private room...and the scales spoke out my weight my fat and my blood pressure...

I was given the female lipotrim as he did not have the male one in...so next week I have made arrangements to go elsewhere...I thought the whole thing embarrassing and not professional at all...

now I have looked at female lipo and he told me to have four sachets a day...if you look on your carrier bags it gives more calories etc than if I was on male lipotrim...I am a male and so should have gone on male one...

what do you all think...

Cobra thats nuts, not only would i go elsewhere but i'd advise Lipotrim about what the pharmacy did [Frowner!]

Find somewhere decent and get to it, it's well worth it.
