For the past 18 months my partner has suffered from ED, 7 months ago he went to our GP who prescribed him Viagra, trouble is he wont take them because he says he doesn't feel like a man anymore. He's stopped getting affectionate with me (i.e. cuddles, holding hands, kissing) because he's scared of it leading to sex. Are there any men out there who have been through this and have come out the other side? I really want to help him but am feeling so frustrated cause I love the guy and don't know where to turn. He won't go to councelling cause he doesn't want to talk to strangers. Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest seeing your man-doctor and then getting a psychologist. (not to be confused with a psychiatrist). Whether or not the problem is psychological, 80% of Americans, 50% of which are undiagnosed, suffer from some sort of anxiety disorder, so it would probably be a good idea anyway.
