I have to leave him with MIL on monday tho, he is gonna be between DH and nursery which is were i work which doesnt bother me (AS MUCH) because i can go see him but when MIL has him i wont know were he is or if hes ok and her other grandchildren are there are they are a little rough with him... oh im worried already!
I just dont think anyone can see to him like i can plus he is a little clingy too.

Couldnt get into doctors today so will have to try again friday to get the doctor which i like Smiler

did the PND test and scored 18 when I did it honestly with DH so he is quite worried but will get sorted Smiler

Joanne HV and midwives have always told me to upp Harvey when he drains the bottle because its better them leaving some so that you know that baby is full. surely it would be better for lucy and you if she can go 4 hrs between feeds before been hungry?

has anyone done the calculation to estimate babies height as a adult in the red book? I did Harveys last night and he could reach 6ft 6!!!

wow!! Smiler

yeah Karly I had the recaro baby seat and he just looked stuffed into it lol!!
everyone expects a chubby baby but he is really long and solid its a shame he looks so much older than he is, will post some more pics lol

Karly I am using a pump, an electronic one too and hardly any milk comes out, only when i squeeze my breast while i have the pump on my breast that more comes out, but in 30 minutes i get just on 2oz....

Joanne let lucy drink as much as she needs, she knows when its enough not some mv with statistics....

Liz sounds like you are on the right track.
cant wait to see the photos of harvey

monkey how r things? happy 3 months to Becki!!

had another rough night with ella, stomach cramps ans she did not eat at all, i mean she was hungry but just could not eat. couldnt do a tummy massage as she kept squirming and pulling her legs up, i have been thinking : this is the second time it happend and at both times i have noticed the only thing in common is that she had little sleep during day and was most likely over stimulated, could that be a reason for her colic like cramps at night?

Gosia i use manual pump and its great in my experience i get more from manual pump than electric.
re Ella's tummy could it be something you have eaten and its passed through the breastmilk? i wouldnt think that not much sleep would give her cramps, has she been going to the toilet ok ? have you tried laying her on her tummy for a bit against something warm as that can ease tummy pain but dont let her sleep like it. Is she ok when you hold her upright against you?

Becki is fine thx she is doing well with her sleeping. we have her 2nd jabs on wednesday which im dreading. Doc has prescribed ibruprofen for her if she needs it after her reaction to calpol he doesnt want us to give it again.

has anyone seen the girls range from fisher price? we got the light show for Becki the other day

hope everyone is well - nipping out now

speak soon

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't been about for a while. Been a bit busy with more visitors and Caitlin doesn't sleep during the day which is exhausting. Luckily she sleeps during the night or I would be in the funny farm by now! She has started going to bed at 8pm and sleeps through until about 6am, has a quick feed and then goes back down until between 8 and 9. Hope it lasts!

I had her weighed last week and she is now 12lb 10oz and 60cm long. She had her 2nd lot of injections and only cried a little bit. Luckily there were no after effects except for her sleeping for 12 hours that night!

I had a quick skim through all of the posts I missed and I'm glad to see that mummies and babies are doing well. Will try to do personals next time....

Off to put some new pics on msn if anyone is interested!

Take care,
Kirsteenxx

hi all!

had some really unsettled days with harvey, dont know if he has trapped wind or what!
he went to sleep at 5pm the other night and he wouldnt wake for love nor money! (i knew i would pay for it later) at midnight he woke for a feed and then had me up at 4am! put him down last night at 7.30 but he was really tired and he slept a little better think that it could be a knock on effect from there! today he has been sooooo grizley! he is normally so placid! think i will start the infacol again and might up his bedtime feed to 8oz dont think he needs it in the day as he sometimes goes 6hours.
oh its so confusing!!!
sorted my shift out with work so im in for 8.30am bright and early on monday Frowner
Harvey is going to MILs on monday so not looking forward to that either! she is a little OTT and just holds him all the time( which is a nightmare when i need to put him down!
Oh dear im moaning sorry

oh what a dilema joanne! i know what you mean about the night feeds DH never wakes up when Harvey cries!! suppose it would be different if i wasnt there tho.

monkey did becki have a reaction to calpol? the nurse told me harvey can have it when he has his next injection but what age can they have it?

on a high note im going shopping to the new shopping centre in liverpool tomoro! Smiler
will go before i depress you all lol!

speak soon liz xx

p.s yeah monkey Harvey is due his second jabs when he is 12 weeks mabe they do it differently where kirsteen lives Smiler

Hi girls

sorry for lack of personals, but I just wantefd to find out 2 things quickly, firstly how many hours do babies sleep during the day as ella sleeps 2 hours after every feed during day and then I would like to know how do you know when your baby is hungry, I usually go by putting my finger in ellas mouth, if ahe sucks on it I know she is hungry and sometimes ofcourse just because she is crying or I know time wise that its time to feed her, how is everyone else doing it?

Hi

We are having Caitlin's vaccinations done the Romanian way which is why they are different. the doctor said she could do them the UK way if we wanted but it's easier to just do them this way. It all works out the same in the end! She had her first injection before she left the hospital at 3 days!

Gosia - I tried to feed Caitlin by the clock but it varies when she is hungry. Sometimes she goes for 4 hours, other times it's only 2 and she also varies in the amount she drinks. She usually starts sucking her fingers really hard when she is hungry and I'm also getting to know her hungry cry! Sorry, that probably doesn't help you much! Can't help you with the sleeping question as Caitlin only catnaps during the day!

Liz - Caitlin drinks anything from 3oz to 5oz during the day and then at her last feed after her bath she drinks from 6oz - 8oz! Weird, it's as if she knows it has to last her a long time! Hope your shopping trip is fab!

Better go - feeding time again!

morning all

monkey i love the fisher price girls range it's so cute, just bought the calming vibrations bouncer last week phoebe loves it. good luck for becki's injection, phoebe's first is coming soon i'm totally dreading it.

gosia i'm sorry to hear about ella's stomach cramps, have you been giving her the gripe water again has that made any difference? phoeobe always seems to suffer with wind at night, she's grumpy for an hour before her last feed at 7 and then takes until at least 8.30 to settle i'm thinking it might be colic because she just cries and cries it's heartbreaking. hopefully it's just a one off for you rather than every night like us.

kirsteen welcome back! been wondering where you'd got to. i'll have to pop over and see your new pics on msn in a minute. my newest are on facebook, it's so much easier to post them there.

joanne glad to hear lucy is better now you've upped her milk, logical really isn't it rather than feeding her more often some hv's just don't know what they're talking about.

regarding babysitting, there's no way i'd let phoebe stay out overnight without me yet if i go out i'd put the kids to bed and get someone to come around here. i'm sure if you explain your worries to shaun he'd understand.

liz, boo to going back to work so soon how rubbish. dont even get me started on MILs mine is a nightmare when it comes to my kids i'm dreading going back to work already. hope you enjoy your first week back at work, did you buy yourself anything nice at the shopping centre?

gosia phoebe generally feeds every 4 hours in the days time, so usually 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm with one feed in the night around 3-5am. she has 2 naps of about 2-3 hours each after her 7am and 11am feeds and has a shorter nap around 5pm.

although i usually do it by the clock sometimes she wants feeding sooner, i can tell that she's hungry because she cries and won't settle any other way. if i put my finger in her mouth she'd suck it any time of day some babies just like to suckle, have you tried ella with a dummy? might help her go a bit longer between feeds?

have a great day everyone

love

karly x
