Glad to hear Harvey is settled on hungry baby milk. If you are interested in baby massage your health visitor or local surestart should have details of them.
We moved to size 2 nappies but have had to go back to size 1....... size 2 were too baggy and i ended up with poo on my legs etc lol

well Becki is playing on her mat so gonna get breakfast.

Last night i put her in her grobag, laid her on the lounge floor and she was watching tv so we put her disney playhouse on and she fell asleep watching bear in the big blue house!!! telly addict

Hi Girls

Kalry Ell takes about less then 2floz (60ml) at a time, sometimes less and sometimes just a bit more. that is apart from the little bf that I do.
Sorry to hear about Ollie, hope he settles soon, is he ok with Phoebe being around?
I also havent bought Ella any clothing for ages as there is always somone coming over with a gift foir her, very lucky she is!
and well done to your routine feeds, hope it stays that way.

Joanne how did your hour go with shaun, hope things are working out there.
I am completely opposite to you, I cant stop eating!! and as long as lucy is getting fed thats what counts the most.

OMG Monkey gimme some of that milk!!!
I so wish I had that problem, my life would be so much easier ! lol!
Enjoy the massage!!

Liz, harvey could be going through a growth spurt still, I usually feed ella on demand though its getting more difficult.

okay so our Ella update is that she now weighs 5kg which I think is 11.023lb (by my calculation).
Once again for the from yesterday she cries during the bottle feed, its so stressful. the doctor that we saw yesterday said its due to her blocked nose, its winter here, we have heaters on (humidifiers are not helping) and her nasal passage is swollen so she cant breathe properly hence the 2 hour feeds as she cant drink as much as she should in one go.
So most probably I will have to endure these feeds for the next couple of months, we have been given nasal spray (which she hates) and nasal drops (which she hates) and hopefully will be some improvement soon.
We have moved on to diapers no2 about 2 weeks ago, so much better.
I am thinking of buying her a play mat, she should be old enough for it, monkey when did Becki start using hers?

afternoon all

gosia how pants that the weather is affecting ella's feeding, hope the sprays work and she starts taking more and going longer between feeds. impressive weight shes got there though you must be doing something right.

liz sounds like you made the right decision on the hungry baby milk. dont worry yourself about not being able to get hold of the doc/hv. for future reference, if you cant get hold of one you could always call NHS direct they're open 24 hours.

Monkey aw bless becki falling asleep watching the telly! how sweet.. and fab that you're going to donate some of your milk what a lovely thought.

joanne how did your meeting go with shaun?

we had a hellish day yesterday. ollie was throwing major tantrums and phoebe was crying all day and didn't sleep really at all it was so stressful. i was ready to put my head in the oven but we some how managed to get both kids to bed asleep in their own bedrooms by 7pm - amazing!

it made such a difference to get phoebe to bed rather than have her awake and restless/crying until 9pm, hopefully it wasnt a one off.

today i'm having a day of peace, df is at another interview and ollie is at mils so it's just me and phoebe who's happily sitting in her bouncy chair..it's so great to recharge my batteries and this sunshine is FAB!

have a great day all

love

poor Ella having a blocked nose.. is it saline they have given her? We have had Becki's mat since birth and started laying her on it when she was about 4 weeks now she kicks about and tries to reach for the hanging bits. this is the one we have. http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=132001&e=detail&...rainforest&pid=40110

Karly good for you getting both to bed early - bet you enjoyed the time to yourself.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Becki has just been weighed and is 10lb 10oz now. not big gain this week but Hvisitor says its fine. She hardly sleeps now through the day. Ive found to stop her crying fit on an evening just to keep her occupied with toys and talking to her helps. We have been out for lunch today and naughty mummy went into the childrens designer clothes store in town and bought her a summer outifit lol

speak soon

Hi All

I hope your all well Shaun & my hour out went well & we have seen more of eachother this week than last week!!!! LOL but were not back together as yet but get along better if that makes sense LOL...

Had a busy day today midwife & health visitor visited at the same time lol.... So i told them both about me topping up due to my eating issues they both decided I was only to feed one side at a time & for 30 mins only then top Lucy up with a bottle.... Lucy still has some Jaundice according to midwife so she won't discharge us so is back again on Friday & has said if Lucy not clear we have to take her to the hospital for blood tests.... But i actually think it is her colouring as her dad is quite dark skinned where i am very pale LOL.... After all our visitors we then dropped Joel off at nursery & then went to visit a good friend of mine who had bought me some packs of nappies & baby wipes bless her!!!

Lucy still not back to birth weight but only 3oz of it....

Gosia hows the feeding going now hun??

Karly has Ollie settled down yet Joel keeps head butting the floors if he has a tantrum i was advised to ignore him if it was safe to do so!!! But boy is it hard....

Caz I like the play mat & fab weight for becki, I use size 1 nappies for Lucy & size 5 for Joel... I would'nt want to be my binman lol....

Hows everyone else doing???

Speak soon

Morning girls!!

karly hun, hang in there, there are good days and then the not so good days, and phoebe is still at the beginning so it will take a couple of weeks to stabilize and for both pf you to get used to her being outside the tummy!!
It must be such a shock for a baby to be in such a nice comfort zone in our tummies and then to come out and have to cry to feed and cry for nappy chnage and all that.
Sorry to hear about Ollie, good that mil looks after him to give you some rest.

Joanne glad to hear that you and shaun are speaking and sorting things out, this breasfeeding thing is so confusing as you never really know how much they have drunk.

Monkey show us some photos of the new baby clothes!!
Ella has been given a saline nose spray and medication in drops, I think its helping but still not increasing the hours between feeds.
will definately get the mat this weekend.

Have made an appointment for Ellas injections on the 17th (am so not looking forward to it)

afternoon girls

i am so loving this weather Big Grin Big Grin makes you feel so much happier the sun being out doesn't it.

ooh monkey what have you bought becki lets see if you have a photo.girls clothes are soo cute aren't they i've had to ban myself from shopping because i just can't resist..

joanne i'm glad your meeting with shaun went well and that you're getting on better now. oliver doesn't head bang but the other day during a tantrum in the car on the way back from leeds he was sticking his hand down his throat and nearly made himself sick. it was a nightmare as we were on the motorway, nowhere to stop df was driving and i was in the back with phoebe so i couldn't reach him in the front. his current favourite tandrum tactic is screaming soo loud it drives me nuts. i really hope he grows out of this soon i dont fancy sticking it out until he's three!

gosia i hope ella gets better soon and good luck for her injections.

all is good here, phoebe went to bed fine at 7pm again last night and didn't wake up for a feed until 2am i couldn't believe it! then woke at 7am for a feed and went back to sleep until 11 so i've had a lovely lie in this morning.

just adding some more pics to facebook if anyone wants to have a look x

take care all

love

Hi All

Hows things going??????

Karly terrible twos will stop for us then restart with the girls lol.... it is a nightmare but it will all calm down i am sure....

Gosia hows Ella doing with her feeds & her nose now bless her!!! it is annoying though not knowing how much breast milk our babies are having!!!

Midwife told me on wednesday 30 mins only on breast then top lucy up!!! so now she is drinking more formula Lucy projectile vomits bigtime & well now is more unsettled so i am going to tackle the question of lactose intolerance with midwife i'd rather get it sorted now than have 12 weeks of hell after Joel was born!!!! It might just be that she drinks too much hoping to be discharged today but midwife is still adament Lucy has Jaundice....

I did register Lucy yesterday which made things all the more real LOL... Karly something you may be able to answer here I was told by the registrar yesterday that if i ever married Shaun we would have to re register Lucy again even though he is on the birth certificate now we have put both surnames on but Lucy will use my surname primarily due to Joel having the same name.... And well i know your planning on marrying your DF do you know the reasons around it????

Right gonna grab some lunch before Joel goes to nursery hope midwife hurrys up LOL

Speak soon

hi joanne

both oliver and phoebe have df's surname so they didn't mention re registering when we get married, maybe they meant you'd have to do that to change their surnames to shauns if you wanted to? not sure, sorry!

sorry to hear lucy is sicky at the moment, maybe it's the mix of breast milk and formula that makes her unsettled? have you tried expressing and giving her that instead see if it makes a difference? i've been told that the chances are phoebe will be allergic to milk like oliver because it's hereditry so maybe this will be the case with lucy?

just been to get measured for a new bra boy was i in for a shock - 36G Eeker Eeker couldn't believe it sounds so houmongus doesn't it. bought myself some nice pants too to make me feel better about the boulder holders and i think i might have a look on bravissimo see if i can find anything nice on there.

phoebe has now outgrown most of her newborn stuff and moving into size 0-3 months she's growing fast.

hope everyone else is well today

love

Hi Karly I dare'nt go & get measured lol i would need hammocks lol..... Midwife now saying Lucy no longer Jaundiced but has referred her to GP re her feeds as she thinks i may have a point.... She said please start noting every feed down etc so I laughed & said well actually i have been doing that anyway since Lucy first fed, I did'nt want Lucy to go through what Joel did so seeing Gp in 10 mins Shaun has taken Lucy to collect drew from school so I went to the hairdressers yehhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Hello, sorry for barging in but I was told the same thing as Joanne by the registrar. She said that when me and DF marry we should go back in and re-register her. Not sure the reason for this as Harriet already has DF's surname Confused

Karly you lucky girl, 36G wow!!

Lovely for phoebe to have such long sleeps! hope it continues.

Joanne hope Lucy feeds get better, I know the vomit thing is so stressful, keep on with the journal and I am sure sooner then later you will knoe which direction Lucy is going in, is she gaining weight?

Monkey I am off to have a look at your photos once I finish here.

Its mothers day here and I received the most beautiful card from Ella (well actually from DH) wanted to cry, my first ever!!!
all well, no chnage, feeds still every 2 hours.
