Gosia hun so sorry to hear your news. A narrowing artery can have key hole on it to insert a balloon which opens the artery. Our friends little boy was born with a narrowing artery and he is 12 week old now.

Please dont blame yourself, nature is cruel at times. But they have picked it up early and can do something about it. From memory they can go in from the side therefore she wouldnt have a scar at the front

please keep us posted on how she gets on - hugs to you both x x

gosia, you poor love i'm so sorry to hear about Ella. like the others have said at least they've picked up on it now rather than later. she's so young that even if she does have to have surgery at least she won't remember it. big hugs hun ((()))

sophie it's the BB code you need to be copy and pasting into your ticker to make it work chick.

Annie! hiya love, still stalking me i see! how are you, and the twins of course did they have a good birthday? i'm great thanks, ollie is no longer an angel baby he's become a right handful now he's getting older!

Joanne have you tried Lucy on hungry baby milk?? sorry to hear about her rash. in the neck creases is a difficult place isn't it.. ollie and phoebe are so very different too. ollie's skin was horrendous right from the word go he was covered in eczema nothing helped it in the end we had to go to the childrens hospital and he was put on antibiotics and steriod creams, it's cleared up now though but phoebe's skin is absolutely perfect! mad isn't it.

christenings.. we never got around to getting oliver done so it looks like we'll be having a joint one too. we're thinking september maybe? we're going to get them christened at the church we're getting married at next year i think. i've seen some absolutely GORGEOUS photo invitations that i just love, we're probably having our wedding invites made by the same lady, here's the website if you want to have a look:

http://www.ellaannouncements.com/baby/girls.html

liz, sorry to hear you had a bad day with harvey the other day. i've been having a bad WEEK with mine it seems. ollie is just nuts at the moment and phoebe is going through a growth spurt so not a good combination. Ollie is going to MILS tomorrow so i can have a break and catch up on the housework!

catch you all later

love

karly x

Liz - thanks for the reply - you sound so excited! I actually really hope we get lucky again soon - can't believe I'm saying that but actually how cool would a one year age gap be??!!! Not sure if its a sensible idea for my body but hey - means I don't have to worry about going on a diet which is one bonus!! Will stalk from time to time to see how you are getting on! Bet you are tired - at least you can rest when harvey rests in the evening - can't believe you are back at work already - thats madness! Good luck with it - wishing you a HH 9months x

While I'm here may as well but in on your current discussion... Big Grin

I've already Christened Wyatt - he was 6 weeks old. He just had the one godmother, as DS1 had 3 godparents and already 2 of them can't really be bothered with him and he's only 5 bless his heart. In our Church (which is RC) as long as you have one RC godparent they don't worry about how many or what persuasion the others are. And to be honest having just one is much simpler! The 2 who don't bother are one of my brothers and his partner - they didn;t even manage to turn up to yatts christening as they were too hung over...nice! I think you have the people or person who you can best rely on to be there for your kids - that way you can't go wrong!

With the weaning - I agree with Sophie - I only ever did veg to start with with DS1 never baby rice - I read some dodgy stuff about them finding traces fo arsenic in it that comes from the soil that the rice grows in or something - it was in practical parenting magazine. So I', going to leave rice well alone this time around as well!!!

Gosia - Thoughts with you (((hugs)))

Well enough of me barging in - thanks for having me! Take care all x

hiya all,

went to baby clinic Eisa has put on a pound and 2 oz, hv said it was not very good as its been 3 weeks since last weigh in but i think its ok
he has been off feeds with teething but i think that is normal.

Do babys have growth spurts around this age????
Eisa was up 5 times last night for feeds drove dh out of the bedroom to sleep on the couch lol

Also had some bad news me extended niece has been diagnonised with diabetese poor thing is only 10 months old, she has been in hospital for days, bloody gp is so at fault, her mum kept going and telling gp bout her being thirsty a weeing constantly and she was jus loosing weight drastically gp kept dismissing it saying must be the weather, like we had so much heat yea right, anyways she collapsed and when she went in to hospital, they checked her sugar level, it was 48 supposed to be 6-8, she now has to have 4 jabs everyday, hos have given her a pump which is fitted in to her back and she has to press a button each time she eats, poor thing is in pain each time small injection goes in to her back, feel so sad for the poor mite.

sorry to put everyone on a downer, just be watchful.

Gosia hun,

i was speaking to a friend of mine, whos lo had something similar to ella, turns out exactly the same, they got it sorted they did keyhole surgery and just inflated the artery as they r so young it just adapts quick time, he was 6 months when he had sugery and now he is 2 yrs old absolutly fine no problems at all, just a menace lol.

so pls dont worry keep positive medicine will be much further advanced by now....

hope you are all well, sorry that i have just gone off on one, just so shocked...

hope you have a gud day...

sophie

Girls I have some news ! we went to see the cardiologist today, our appointment was for next week monday but I begged to let me see him
sooner as emotionally I just couldnt cope.
so we went to see him today, he sedated Ella, and could have a proper look at her heart, the artery that led from the heart and has a narrowing is
not as narrow as he thought, when we saw him on Monday Ella wouod not lie still ( how can a 4 month baby do that) she was wriggling and crying a bit
so her artery was at that stge narrow however once she was sedated her artery was not as narrow, I mean it has a narrowing but its not as serious and
apparently they take into account the narrowing of the artery when the baby is calm.
So good news is that for now she is ok, no procedure and no operation needed however we have to go to him every 4 months to re-access.
the narrowing could widen and then it will be all ok and if it stays the same then he will determine if we need to do somthing about it.
I am so so so happy, absolutely estatic, it feels like somone gave me my daughter back.....

thank you so much for all your kind words and being here for me, I appreciate it so much

We went on a weaning talk today - not learnt anything i didnt know. They got onto subject of baby led weaning and said be prepared for them to choke and having to get food out of mouth - dont think ill be doing baby led, ill stick to pureeing lol

Got Becki weighed and she is 15lb now little chunky monkey.

Morning girls

Ella is now 15lb too (at least thats what the scale at the doc said yesterday)
we are back to small eating quantities every 2 hours but she wakes up only about 2 times during the night now so its not that bad.

Mokay I think I am going to start Ella on solids at about 6 months, havent read any books, dont really know much about it, can you recommend anything.
