Hi girls

a quick post as Ella asleep in my arms and am typing with one hand.

Monkey huge huge congratulations on Becki sleeping through!! wow!!
I so want to be next!!
Hope the injections go well, I am taking Ella for her 6 to 8 week injections hopefully on monday and I know she will be sore and misserable, so not looking forward to that.

Joanne glad to hear that everyone is doing well, hope Joel has fully recovered from his fall.
and well done on your weight loss, I dont know how you have done it girls, I feel bigger now more then ever!!

Karly hope Phoebe settles soon, sometimes their immature gut is to blame for all that wind and it does get better after a few weeks, I am giving Ella gripe water when I see she has cramps and it works like a charm!
Hope Ollie gets to feel better soon.

Kirsteen you are so luck with DH beinbg at home, I miss mine so much, w3ish he was at home soon.
glad to hear u are getting a bit of a routine going.

Ella must be going thrugh a growth spurt, she has started eating 60ml every 2 hours instead of 80 every 3 hours, hope this doesw not last long.
Otherwise we are all ok, feeding has improved so much, now all I wnat is just some sleep...

wow 3 posts in one day i'm doing well but i guess you're sick of hearing from me. can you tell the kids are both asleep? (at the same time - yipee!)

gosia i was just wondering is there an age limit for gripe water? i have a feeling it's one month but couldn't remember? as it's working so well for you i'd like to give it a try too but i guess i'll have to wait a few more weeks if it is a month.

i think ella is about the age for a growth spurt, hope it settles down soon for you. are you still BF as well as bottle?

kirsteen have accepted you on FB, kinda threw me a little at first when i saw it as it said kirsty rather than kirsteen oops.

hmm think i spoke too soon on the lie in front, phoebe went straight to sleep after her evening sleep at 7pm last night (which is unusual, usually she doesn't until about 9pm) but was up at 5am and just wouldn't go back to sleep! I'm like a walking zombie today need my bed..

monkey how did the baby massage go? Bet becki loves the pampering! did she sleep through again last night? well done for getting her sleeping in her own room too. also good luck for her injections tomorrow, it's not nice at all but she'll soon get over it.

liz - i need some diet tips please i'm getting panicky already about getting into shape for my wedding and it's over a year away (see my sad little ticker, what a loser i am lol). size 10 is my ultimate goal but i'm crap at dieting, after having oliver i had to cheat and do the cambridge diet in the end (meal replacement shakes/soups diet) for 2 months to lose the baby weight but i'd like to do it the healthy eating way this time if possible.

joanne do you ever stop!? you've just had major surgery lady you need to rest! impossible i know with a toddler and a newborn but take advantage of the help you have and go have a lie down you do worry me! as for the time lucy is feeding, sounds average to me to begin with it would take me about an hour and a half to feed phoebe because i had to keep waking her up (that and the fact that she's a bit of a piggy and takes ages to get full). now it's about 30 mins as she's more awake.

anyway i'd better get tea on.
speak soon mummies!

love

karly x

Karly gripe water is from 4 week old.

Becki had wind trapped last night so as i put her to bed she threw up...nice which meant she was hungry at 4:00 but she fed then went back to sleep until 8.
Baby massage was good, she suprised everyone by rolling over onto her side and when laid on her front she had her head up looking about...... nosey madam!!!

i lost 2.5 stone before i got pregnant within 8 week on sureslim diet. its a diet specially tailored to you by using blood tests. Once i finish b/feeding im back on it as i put it on hold at the clinic i went to.

im taking Becki for her pic tomorrow using the free voucher from bounty pack.

Liz Harvey is sooo cute he looks a true little boy

Karly i started giving Ella gripe water when she was just over 2 weeks, I think gripe water is less harsh then the other things that are given to babies for wind, it only has two ingridients in it: dill oil and some sort of anti-soda, its your choice, you could wait a bit though. I have also noticed that if I walk around a bit with Ella and keep her in a half upright position that the wind isnt so sore, though I must admit Ella loves being walked around, it stops her crying for anything.
I am still b/feeding though not as much, am finding the bottle feeding very convinient.

Monkey it sounds like Becki is doing so well for her age, well done!!

thanks for the info on gripe water monkey/gosia. out of curiosity i decided to try not giving phoebe infacol for the whole day yesterday and would you believe it she was a lot better! brought up the wind on her own and massive burps too..how odd??

i bought a baby carrier a few days ago, delivered yesterday omg what a lifesaver! such a help when i'm trying to look after phoebe and ollie together on my own. i was able to get ollie to bed so much easier as phoebe was strapped to me, happy and content. it was near impossible before because when she's awake phoebe likes to be entertained or held and starts kicking off if i leave her is her basket whilst i see to ollie. definately money well spent i must say.

monkey is it pixi photo you're going to today? we've used them before as they usually visit all the big boots stores every couple of months, they're great and the photos are really reasonably priced too. you'll pay more if you go to the studio though.

opps best go madam is waking

bye

love

well i have walked my little legs off today! think il need new wheels on the pram before long!lol weighed myself this morning and in just over a week i have lost 6lb so i am much happier and feel as though i am getting somewhere!
Karly im lovin the ticker! i am just cutting all junk food out and filling up on vegetables and fruit and doing plenty of walking!
I dropped from a size 16 to a 10 before pregnancy by following a low fat diet of my own as i have very high colesterol!
Harvey is still unsettled before bed it took ages to settle him he seems so tired and as though he cant quite catch his sleep, he gets hiself into a right tizz and holds his body straigh,i did wonder if it was wind but thats when they pull their knees up isnt it?
anyway he eventually settled and has gone nearly six hours between his feed,
I have our six week check tomoro, and still no red book !
Monkey i have heard about the free vouvher but hadnt seen it will have to look through everything tomoro see can i find it
anyway sorry for going on, and on and on lol
hope all mummys and babies are well speak soon liz x

Karly well done to phoebe on the burping, Ella was getting better too after a while but on bad days the gripe water does help.
I have tried to out Ella into a baby carrier as well and she hates it, its such a nice one with proper neck supporyt and all, she just cries and stops once you take her out, go figure...

Monkey I am sure Becki has already forgotten about her jabs, I think its us parents that take it harder then they do, or I suppose we remember it longer.

I dont know what is going on but for the last 2 days Ella has started feeding every 1 to 1.5 hours and small amounts too, I dont know why and also not too keen all of a sudden on the bottle she just wants breast! and of course gets very frustrated when there is not enough milk for her....poor little angel...

Karly - sorry about the name confusion! My name is Kirsteen but everyone calls me Kirsty. Of course when I registered with DHH I couldn't use the name Kirsty as it must have been taken!

Gosia - I think Ella is a bit like Caitlin at the moment. She takes a big feed at night and apart from that just 'snacks' all day. It's a battle to get her to take more than 2oz at a time. Maybe they are having growth spurts!

Liz - Caitlin gets quite upset before bed too and does the whole 'rigid' body thing. Tried gripe water but it just seems to make her sick.

No real news apart from Caitlin sleeping from 10pm until 6 this morning! Couldn't believe it when I woke up and looked at the clock! Probably just a one off though!!!

Joanne - how cute of Joel to kiss Lucy. Bless!

Monkey - £350! Wow! What a proud daddy!!!

Oh, Karly Phoebe is gorgeous! Looked at all the pictures of her and she looks so alert.

Kxxx

liz does Harvey cy and nothing will settle him? is it same time each night? we have crying with Becki fro 7 - 9 each night and nothing calms her except walking around with her. for the last 2 nights she hasnt been too bad though. we were told its normal and no-one has answers to it.

We have been shopping today and got her a bumbo for when she is older. Daddy got her an ipod nano too to plug into her rocker chair. it has a port for mp3 so they can listen to own music rather than preset ones on chair......... he spoils her rotten.

Gosia - Ella may be having a growth spurt to feed like that. We went to baby cafe today which is for breastfeeding mums and they were talking about growth spurts.

well best give Becki her feed as she is falling asleep

be back soon
