hi all

everhopeful I was a little suprised at first but now i have my head around it I cant wait, I just imagine how close the two will be and it makes me smile!
I am a little tired although im back at work and have harvey this time around!
I have also realised that had i left a 2 year age gap i would have to buy most things again but all i need is a double pram!
I can understand why you are reluctant, i had 2 misscarriages before Harvey and after his birth i got two diferent contraceptive pills but kept finding excuses not to take them as i imagined having problems when we wanted more!
I only have a two bed house and we are definatly finding out the sex (especially with been made redundant!) but a boy and girl can share for a while! Smiler
I think that it will really work but am under no illusions that it will be hard work and i will feel like tearing my hair out at time but it will be all good Smiler

keep me posted on if you decide on another! i am so excited now!!

Harvey is doing really well on his baby rice although im not sure if he likes it as he doesnt seem overjoyed when i am feeding him lol! was wondering ojn trying him on porridge although have read that i can use mash or cooked apple and pear! so may try them and the fresh stuff has gotta be better!!

Went for my scan today!! aww it was just a little dot.. but my little dot!! all is well so going back a week on tuesday!

Gonna get goin ladies hope you are all good!! sophie i am glad you had a nice day choosing your pic!! i totally understand on the prices they could seriously break the bank!!

must buy those powders!!!

speak soon liz xx

caz a jumperoo? are they the ones you hang off the door frame or the play centre that is attached to bungees and a frame??
i have saw a fisher price one for harvey and due to space it would be better for him as he wouldnt get far in a walker!
would have to save that for nannys! lol Smiler

its the one attatched to a stand and bungee ropes. we dont have doors left open through the house to stop the cats getting in all the rooms so a door one would mean i had to put cats in there play room (yup we are sad and our cats have there own play room lol )while i kept living room door open as they arent allowed in.

Wow monkey, the jambaroo looks great!
Ella went for her jabs this morning and cried her heart out, before she got the jabs she looked around ( and realised where she was I think) and started crying....
wont be getting those for a while now...

Just noticed that Ella is constipated, I think it might be after her increased amount of formula. I have given her some cooled boiled water, is there anything else I can do?

we got Becki the jumperoo today and she loves it.

Gosia - from memory you can add a bit of 100% pure orange or prune juice to her water
Tummy Massage - Gently massage and rub baby's tummy in a clockwise direction. Place your hands at baby's navel and massage in a circular motion, moving your hand(s) out and away from the center of baby's belly.

Warm Bath - Some medical professionals suggest giving your constipated baby a warm bath. The thought is that this may help relax baby and "get things moving" again. Give a tummy massage as you are drying baby.

Bicycle Legs - Place your baby on her back and lightly hold her legs in a half-bent position. Gently begin to move your baby's legs as if she is riding a bicycle. Alternate "Bicycle Legs" with Tummy Massage. *"Bicycle Legs" also may help to relieve a baby who is gassy.

Relieving Constipation in Babies Younger than 4 Months:

Try giving one to two ounces of diluted fruit juice such as grape, prune or apple-prune twice daily. (Always consult your pediatrician about the appropriateness of new foods/liquids to help alleviate constipation) Learn about Fruit Juice in your baby's diet.

Hi girls! Im actually from the May/June thread, but my DS was born 6th April, so is the same age as some of your babies! I just wanted to ask about weaning, if thats ok?

Just wondering if any body had started, what age they started at, or what age will you wait for? I weaned my two DDs at about this age, but i know they have changed the guidlines!

hope you dont mind me asking! Thanks in advance x

hi girls

yay gosia that's great that ella is sleeping longer and the powders are working i bet you're well chuffed. maybe her constipation will settle down as she gets used to the extra amout of formula she's taking, monkeys advice looks good for helping it though.

as phoebe is breastfed she doesn't poo very often, only about once every 3 days! but when she does it's a proper explosion lol.

sophie ooh can't wait to see your pick, well done for staying firm and not buying more, i'm sure you'll get some lovely ones from the photographer monkey reccomended.

monkey that jumperoo looks well cool! we had something similar for ollie that i guess i'll be getting out again soon. it's this one:

liz we have this door bouncer:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Produc...4424X.jpg&imageText=

to be honest ollie didn't really use it as much as the activity centre, he soon got bored of it.

jennipenni the guidelines now are not to wean before 4 months..

Jenni
A Baby can begin on baby rice etc after 17 weeks. its not recommended before that age. My dd is 19 week and im planning on starting her at 20 week.

as mentioned further up the Annabel Karmel book is highly recommended it has planners etc for weaning.
