evening all mandi can't really say i've had the same problem with ollie regarding hoovers/hairdryers as i've always used them around him he's used to them now might be the noise that's scaring her? we're just getting to the stage where they develop a sense of fear now so that might be what it is same with lucas and swimming? don't know if it's a good thing that i haven't found anything ollie is scared of yet he's a bit too fearless at times. as for the reaction you got when you dropped her off at MILS maybe it's separation anxiety or she was just trying to push the boundries by having a tandrum? glad you had a good easter i love the circus but dont think i'd be able to get ollie to stay still long enough to enjoy it with him. no baby news yet 11 days to go until my due date and counting ollie was 4 days overdue so i'm hoping this one might be a bit sooner but you never know do you, i've got plenty to keep me busy in the mean time though there's still some painting to finish. no definate names yet we've got separate shortlists in the hospital bag. haven't really found a boys name i love but have tonnes of girls names. speak soon girls, goodnight x love karly x

Hi, Karly it's not the first time Lucas has been swimming but we haven't been for ages. Mandi we are getting to an age now where they are gatting fearfull Lucas has moments when he is watching his favourite thing on the tv and starts screaming, he gets really upset so I have had to start watching the tv with him.Great!! Also about what happened MILs I wouldn't worry about it, I know it is hard but try not to make a fuss out of her next time she does it, it is her way of letting you know she will miss you. They are little horrors at this age and really know how to send you on a guilt trip for the whole day. I used to see it at the nursery all the time, nurseries are used to it. Hi emms, welcome to our thread, there is only a few of us here now. Hi, Jackie and Josh Jayjay

Thanks Karly and Jay Jay for your advice, it's nice to know i'm not on my own. Megan needs me to watch t.v. with her also jay jay, and we have a large family room with the kitchen in, so if i'm making tea i'm still in the same room as her but she still wants me to sit with her!! Hope this doesn't last too long i don't know how much more of balamory i can stand. I'm off work now till monday so got my friend coming round with her little girl this p.m., she is pregnant and is due around the same time as karly. Then tomorrow we've got toddlers in the morning and probablly just boring shopping in the afternoon. I can't wait for summer i'm really looking forward to letting megan out to play in the garden, (although i'll prob have to go down the slide with her ha ha) Well best go and tidy up before my friend comes it's a bit of a poo pit at the min!! Megan's asleep so it's all systems go. take care, love mandi xx

Hiya all Sorry i have been awol again have had real trouble loggin on to the website it kept on saying temporaily unavailible!! but all seems ok today. Glad you all had nice easters sound like you were all busy. Joshy is the same with certain things on the tv his favourite programme is roary the racing car which he has to watch every day but when farmer green comes on he is out of the room like a shot!!. He also went through a phase of being abit teary when i left him at nursery but the girls there say he is just pushing the boundaries to see if i will i stop with him, they are clever little things. Karly i live in shropshire which isn't to far from you, i live in a small town so we have to travel to do anything. Hope you, ollie and baby are ok. Have you finshed your decorating yet? Mandi hope you had a good afternoon with your friend? Josh loves to have visitors so he can play with them. once he wakes today he is off to play with his cousin she is 5 months younger than him so she loves to copy him. Jayjay- Hope the house viewing is going well. Like Lucas josh has learnt how to escape, he goes to my mums on a thursday afternoon whilst i'm at work and he was playing in her conservatory then she looked the next minute and he had gone out the back door and was up the garden in his socks!! Off to have some lunch while the little terror is asleep take care all love jackie x x x

t minus 3 days until due date and counting! the 'have you had the baby yet' harrassment has started. even df is on red alert it's driving me nuts! twinges here and there peeing lots more, mw said i'm fully engaged and baby is really low down and ready to go but i'm not getting my hopes up as i was told the same at the hosp when i had the false alarm nearly 3 weeks ago! ollie was 4 days late so i'm hoping i don't go any further than that. if i do i'm going to refuse being induced if i can help it cuz i really dont want to have to go through that i'd rather wait it out a bit longer! best get myself to bed. wow i haven't seen midnight in months! take care all love karly x x

Hi everyone Oh my god Karly everytime i see you have posted i get all excited and wonder if you're saying that little baby is here! But i'm sure you'll be far too busy to log on for a while, i would definately say no to being induced because i was with megan and they gave me 4 lots of gel and still nothing and by then it was really uncomfortable and they say that being induced really makes the labour more painful than goin in naturally, so my advice would be to wait for him/her to come on their own accord. Hope you are managing to get a bit of a rest i know my friend who is due in 3 weeks has a little girl same age as megan and she is knackered with looking after her and being so big now. Jay jay congratulations on enrolling at uni, it's something i've thought about (open degree) but never done anything about it, i'm sure it'll be really interesting and also nice to do something for you. Not sure if i like all this pink!! hey karly maybe its an omen that you're having a girl, ha ha. Well best go get my sleepy little monster up or she'll be up all night, take care everyone, Love mandi xx

hi mandi i've given up texting and ringing people because every time i do they get all in a flap thinking it's baby news.. even DF picks up in seconds thinking it's me summoning him home cause i'm in labour.. no such luck so far! i was induced with ollie because my waters broke but no contractions, had to have 3 pessaries even thinking of how hideous the contractions were makes me shudder now i am not going through that again. my mw friend said 2nd time around they induce you on the drip but apparently that's even worse they even suggest you having an epidural at the same time so must b bad. i'm going to hold out as i'd really like to have a water birth.. gotta go ollie is making a mess as usual. take care all love karly x

ok. only just looked back through this thread and i was supposed to post that post of alicia onn the Babies Due March 2006 thread so not quite sure what happened there anyway hope you didn't mind me invading on your thread and i may as well stay now i have my foot in the door lol I told docs i didn't want to be induced neither, i seen my sis be induced with her first, it was horrible and she still ended up having an emergency c-section 20 hours later I was given pain relief AFTER i had Alicia, (when they stitched me up) sorry for the tmi folks. I know everyone says this but i didn't have chance for an epidural, etc, and i can honestly say i didn't think the pain was that bad. sending pain free labour dust your way Karly Ems x

Hi everyone, Don't worry ems your more than welcome on this thread!!! ha ha. Karly i also had the drip to induce me and it does make the contractions much more intense, but i would defiantely say no to an epidural, i had one with my first daughter and i thought it hadn't worked because i could still feel the pain (a lot) and ended up with forceps!! With megan it ended in c-section but to be honest that was brilliant because i felt nothing and recovered quickly after. Sorry i bet this isn't helping a bit, if it makes you feel any better i would be more than happy to go through it all again (its worth it) it's just the pregnancy i wouldn't fancy . Jay Jay have you had any luck on the house front? Gotta go will pop back later (at work) Mandi x
