Hi Girls, Sorry i haven't been on lately been having a bit of a nightmare with my self not Tyla she's great as usual!
I went to the doctors to get a couple of moles checked and ended up havin to have one removed last wednesday, and have another one done tomorro, they are havin biopsy's done on them! I'm a bit scared, my mum had a melonoma wen she was my age then 10 years later it came back an unfortunatley she passed away, so its playin on my mind a little bit! She was 26 wen she had her mole removed then less than ten years later it came back wen she was 35 and she passed away within 6 months because it had gone to her lungs, liver an kidney, i'm jus so worried that history might repeat itself, i dont get my results until 21st august which seems like a lifetime away.
Anyway sorry about me rambling about myself, its jus nice to have an outlet to express myself to without havin to worry those around me to much, hope you all don't mind.

Tyla is 2 months old today and she weighs 11lb 2oz, she is becoming her only little person and her smile lights up her face, especially in the morning wen she first wakes up to have a conversation with me! She is on 4oz every 4 hours but sleeps from 9pm till 9am waking up at the most twice between them but i've jus put her last bottle up to 5oz and that seems to be carrying her through a little longer.
Sorry for the lack of personals i haven't had a chance to catch up on all the readin i've missed.
Hope you an babies are all well
Take care
Laura an Tylax x x

Hi Laura

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through, it must be terrifying, I hope you get good news. Glad to hear Tyla is doing well.

Lucas is thriving haven't a clue what he weighs now, I was going to take him to get weighed on monday but I had my first period and it was terrible I have been going through a pad every hour and still leaking. I have been having dizzy spells and feeling sick I am loosing that much. Has anyone else had it that bad.

Karly I have set up a website for Lucas as well, Haven't done much yet but its getting there.

http://lucasj.mytinybaby.com/

I will do more on it over the weekend and when we get back from holiday, we go to nice on sunday for a week and I am really looking forward to it.

Hi all

Laura, I hope all the results are OK - take care.

Karly my child trust fund cheque came through late last week, but I wwas late organising everything.

Annie thanks for all you kind words - good idea with s***ping kids but my sister lives in Cardiff and I live in Birmingham and I had a laugh wondering which of the 4 she would choose!! thanks it cheered mne up.

JayJay I had a terrible period after DS3, to the point I felt so bad I went to the DRs saw a locum who sent me straight ti A&E. They weren't at all worried said it was either just a heavy period after the baby or endometriosis. AS I had no big clots they ruled out problems with the section. It stopped very soon after and everything was normal after that - good luck.

Anyway better go - love to everyone

Jack

Hi Ladies, hope I can join you on this thread? I have been having some trouble with my son Liam, he is 8 weeks and 5 days old. He just will not settle at night.

I have been feeding him every 4 hours which has been working well. I have to wake him during the morning to feed him. but in the afternoon/evening, it got to 7.45pm and I could take the screaming no more. I fed him and he then decided to sleep... for 10 minutes! He then screamed until 11.30pm last night when I gave in and fed him again. He then slept for 23 minutes!! I thought he had wind, but nothing comes up, he takes a full 6-7oz bottle of SMA white, and doesn't very often bring anything up. He is constantly wriggling and moving about, so much so that I think that he must wear himself out eventually. No! not a chance.

He went to sleep at around 1am, then woke at 2.30am for a feed, another 6oz, then went to sleep until 3.30am then woke again, but I was not going to feed him. Managed to rock him to sleep, for 45 mins then he was awake again at 4.15am when Paul got up and took him downstairs to scream. He cried until 6am, then slept until 6.48am when I got up and gave him a bottle at 7am. He then whinged until 8am and played until 8.30am, then cried until he fell asleep on me on the sofa at 9am, and is still sleeping now!!! What can I do!?!?! I am at my wits end! He will not settle, he will not sleep at night, and no matter what we do, bath, bed, feeding, increasing, decreasing feeds, rocking, walking, driving, leaving him to cry, he still will not sleep for longer than 2 hours! Unless it is the daytime when i cannot sleep as I am past it or have other things to do!

HELP!

Apart from that he is lovely. The thing is when people come around he is on his best behaviour, and they think he is an angel. What am I doing wrong? He will not take his dummy anymore, and I don't think he is teething. He may be having a growth spurt, but what does that mean? Crying, feeding more, not sleeping? Do you think I am doing something wrong? Is he getting tension from me? I just don't know what to do.

Would it be a good idea to change his milk to another make? I am using SMA white at the moment.

Any ideas grateful.

Thanks.

Chinup and Liam

hi girls!

Annie - yes hopefully going for the 4 bedroomed house so we can fill it with children, oliver has definately made me want more, not yet though! Still haggling the price of the house
with the vendors though. they're being very stubborn at the moment. All this house stress is doing my head in i just want to move!!!!

Glad to hear Ellie and Ross are doing so well.. Oliver has grown loads too. Strangely enough it just seems like he's got massive in the past few days.he's almost grown out of his newborn clothes now too. How did it go without the babies overnight? i bet you missed them loads.

Good luck at slimmers chick - i admire your determination.

Laura - sorry to hear of the health problems youve been having, i hope the results come bk ok.

I've had a quick peek at your website for tyla- what a little cutie she's lovely.

Jayjay sorry i hear your're not well either. i havent had a period yet and because i'm breastfeeding i might not do till i stop. fine by me! Lucas' website is great too, such a clever idea isnt it..

Jack - i think better ask my HV about the voucher -hope it hasnt got lost. Hows Jake and the boys? suviving the summer hols ok?

Welcome Chinup, sorry to hear you' having a nightmare getting Liam to sleep at night. I cant comment on the milk as i'm breastfeeding but i though id ask - does he sleep loads in the daytime? maybe if you tried to keep him awake longer in the day, he'd be tired out by night-time..seems to work for me. Good luck with that.

anyhoo i better go now, take care ladies

love Karly & Oliver x x

HI Chin

I had this problem with Lucas, he turned out to be lacose intolerant hopfully Liam isn't, although I still have trouble settling him at times. Have you tryed Gripe water. I dont go by the instructions, not good I know. Lucas has a cherry shapped dummy which I stick in the bottle then give straight to him it calms him right down, I have used it with all 3 kids and have never given them a spoonfull allways on the dummy. Also I know it's not recomended but I swaddle Lucas quite tightly, only in a sheet of course, it is the only way he will calm down sometimes.
I hope you find a sollution.

Hi Ladies and Babies!

Well done for starting this thread. Just a quickie to say hi. Sorry I've not posted sooner, we've just returned from two weeks in Cornwall, which was fab! Noah really enjoyed himself and it was very relaxing for me having DH and family around to help out. Cool

Hope you and babies are well, can't believe how quickly the time has flown! We have a wedding tomorrow, so will try and catch up properly over the weekend.

Take care, Syd.

Oh, cool new site isn't it - although it did confuse me to start with! Doesn't take much these days!. Roll Eyes

afternoon girls

just thought i'd let you know that we've finally had our offer on the house accepted - yippee! wasnt easy though, as the vendors been a right stubborn begger but at last it's ours! so excited, hopefully we should be moving sometime in October i think. cant wait!

finally worked out how to add more photos to ollies website, so it's looking better now. thanks for your message laura it was lovely

jack to get your ticker working you need to cut and paste the BB code, as this forum won't allow html.

welcome back syd!glad to hear you had a nice holiday, and that Noah enjoyed himself. i could do with one myself.

must have tired oliver out yesterday as he slept from 8pm till 4am then til 8am. he's never gone 8 hours before looks like we're finally edging towards sleeping through..

he's growing out of his newborn stuff but 0-3 month clothes are so huge!! they're a big jump from newborn so now have to either put him in clothes that are too small or too big i cant win! there should be an inbetween size.

anyways enough ranting,

take care girls & babies

love

Hi Girls

Karly Congrats on the house bet you can't wait to get in there a make it your own.

Syd good to hear from you again

We are off on holiday to nice tomorrow, my mum and her partner have a flat out there. Lucas has decided to be just like his big brothers and want solids, so at 8pm last night he had a bowl o baby rice and a 6oz bottle then went to bed till 6am. He had screamed for 2 1/2 hours solid before that and it was screaming, he was turning purple, it was horrible.

I'm glad we are going away as I need something, I have gone right down I seem to be crying all the time its horrible. I did have pnd with DS2 but not this bad so early, if I feel like this when I get back I will go and see my doctor I think, I dont want to get too bad.

See you all when I get back.

Hi Ladies,

I hope you are all well and enjoying those little ones - well not so little anymore, if Noah is anything to go by! He has grown and changed so much in nine weeks. I keep finding extra chubb creases each morning when I change his nappy! I'm taking him to the weighing clinic tomorrow as we missed a couple during our hol. I bet he's well into 13lbs now!

Annie, Jayjay I'm sorry you've both had trouble with thier sleeping I hope you manage to get some rest soon. Jayjay I hope your hol does you some good and gives you a bit of a break. I know having DH around all the time really helped me. Keep smiling Smiler

Chinup - so glad to hear from you. Congratulations on the birth of baby Liam! I'm sorry he has been so unsettled. It must be awful for you and DH. My SIL had a very colicky baby who sounds very similar. White Noise CDs really helped them - you know, washing machine cycles, plug holes, hair dryer sounds! She also took her son to a cranial osteopath and she swears by it. Could be worth a try. I think you can get referred by your GP for free if baby is having difficulties. Good luck and kepp in touch.

Well, Noah's just finishing bath time with his Daddy, so will need feeding soon.

Take care,
Syd
