Hi Karly, so sorry i've not been on in ages, no excuse except we can't use the internet at work anymore and we have been having loads of work done at home so the computer has been put away for a while. I have managed the odd read but never been able to get on to reply. so i AM SORRY! Can't believe baby no 2 is nearly here, my friend is due end of april and is due to start maternity leave soon , i must admit i have been feeling really broody recently, but the thought of a baby with a 21 month old (who incidentaly is quite jealous of babies) puts me off, but i also know how megan loves other children and how whenever we go anywhere she seeks out other kids and is in her element playing with them, i don't want her to be on her own, but having said that she has plenty of cousins and friends for company. She is turning into a right little chatter box never stops talking, (even with the dummy in!), everything we say she repeats, so I have to be really careful when driving, iykwim! Haven't had much thought as to her 2year birthday, just hoping we actually get some summer this year, gonna get her some garden toys this year, slide, tunnell etc, my mum is buying her a micro-phone because she's a right little performer, (she sings keep bleeding by leona lewis at the minute). Karly your pram sounds nice, a friend of mine has one at toddlers and the little baby looks really snug at the back. I bet you can't wait now for the new baby to come, have you decided on any names yet? I hope you have a little girl but i know two boys would be lovely aswell. (just think of all the football matches you'll have to go to!) Anyway i'll hopefully be able to log on more now, so speak soon, take care, love mandi x

mandi! great to hear from you hun, dont worry about not posting you've got a good excuse lol. jackie and jayjay are sometimes around but if they're not i dont mind chatting away to myself have you booked your holiday yet? i know you were thinking about going to alcudia?? i do hope we get some sun this summer being as we're not planning on going abroad. ollie is the same repeating things, it's hard to censor yourself sometimes isn't it! he must have heard me and df shouting each other from downstairs or something as his favourite game at the moment is calling us 'karly' and 'simon' rather than mummy and daddy, little monkey. ahh her singing sounds soo cute! good idea getting some garden furniture saves trekking to the park all the time doesn't it but i'm still waiting for my garden to be landscaped at the mo, hopefully it'll be done by summer as i can see us using it a lot this year. oooh baby names well i've got lots of girls ones but only 2 boys names.. we cant agree so are putting a list each in the hospital bag again, i've said if it's a boy he can have the final say (within reason) so if it's a girl i get to choose. the suspense is killing me not knowing the sex, can't wait to find out! take care love karly x

Hiya Karly I haven't left we have just had no computer for over a week the modem had blown and some friend of dh said he could fix it!! but surprise surprise we had to have a new one so we got a dell with a nice flat screen so i am happy . Can't believe 1st march/april baby is here its so exciting. Bet its lovely being on mat leave especially with the nice weather we have had. Just try and make the most of it and have rest if thats possible with a 21 month old!!! Bless Ollie with his duvet mil has just bought one for joshy so we must start to use it, is Ollie finding it ok as josh is such a restless sleeper he goes off to sleep upside down or across the top of his cot, i was just abit worried he might get cold in the night. Glad you had good mothers day and got spoilt we went out for family meal so it was lovely to see all the little ones playing together. hi mandy nice to hear from you glad you are both ok, i know what you mean about time i only work 2 days but never seem to have time for anything. we also have to watch what we say as Joshy repeats everything!! it is great now they are talking as you can have little conversations with them, usually about nothing at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! take care and speak soon jackie x x jackie x x

Hi, Sorry I haven't been on for a while, my grandad went into hospital to have his knee replaced and had a heart attack so was kept in for over a week and it was in warrington and we are in liverpool, not good. I have been a bit emotional about it as my grandad is more like my dad as my mum and dad divorced when I was 1 and I didn't see him again till I was 15 and my stepdad died when I was 7 so he is all I have had plus my youngest auntie is only 10 years older than me he always called me his 5th daughter. Got I can go on!! Went to an NCT sale today and got talking to one of the members and decided to join they have coffee mornings, mums nights out and a baby sitting circle which sounds great and as I am on tax credits it only cost £1 a year. Didn't get much from the sale but wish I had known about it when I was PG as It would have saved me a fortune. While I was there I picked up a leaflet up for baby signing which I thought might be good for Lucas, by the way I don't think he is tonguee tied as he has started to pull tongues at me, so it must just be a younger brother thing. We have decided to do the same as last year for Lucas's birthday and go to farmer ted's the local city farm as it's really good as DS2 has said he wants to go back to knowesly safari park for his which is in July so Lucas will love that too. Have got to go DS2 hovering over me wating to use the PC. Have a good weekend Jayne

evening all thanks to you all for popping on to keep me company, too much time on my hand now i'm on maternity leave (whilst ollie is asleep that is!) jackie ooh shiny new computer, lucky you! mine was new for my birthday and i love it, couldn't live without it! re duvets. ollie is a proper fidget too so i was worried about taking away the sleeping bag (especially as he'd had it pretty much since birth, lol) and that he'd end up cold but in the end i think the sleeping bag was restricting him as he started taking hours to settle off to sleep. once we started the duvet he went back to going straight off again. i do go in before i go to sleep to make sure he's covered up though, and in the beginning put socks on him so his feet didn't get cold. actually grobag do a 'my first bed' which is quite clever, the pillow velcros to the bottom sheet and the duvet zips up the side to keep it in place.. gave it a miss in the end though because we got the duvet set to match his silver aeroplane themed room for a bargin on ebay. jayjay sorry to hear about your grandad, i hope he's recovering well. NCT sale sounds good i always regretted not booking onto the NCT antenatal classes as they sound so much better than the free ones you get on the NHS.i've heard some great things about baby signing too, maybe lucas will find it useful. DF is out at a baby wetting night out tonight so i'm home alone and bored. so bored i turfed out our old due in june 2006 thread and read it start to finish! god knows why but i once i started i had to keep reading,it's taken me nearly 3 hours! think there's only me and you jayjay that still post from that origional lot.. would be nice if we'd have all kept in touch, i often wonder what has become of the others. here's the link anyway if you're interested: http://community.homeandhealthtv.co.uk/eve/forums/a/tpc...1191/m/432104502/p/1goodnight x x

Hi everyone, just a quickie i'm sneaking on at work which is not really allowed!! But didn't want to leave it too long before i posted. Sorry to hear about your grandad jayne, it must have been really stressful for you especially all the travelling to warrington aswell. Karly enjoy your maternity leave because before long i bet you won't have time to log on here let alone read all the old posts! With a little baby and toddler to look after. I'm actually dying of suspense as to whether you're having a boy or girl! Have you tried to work it out from your scan picture. I know i did and somehow managed to come up with a girl, it was prob just a lucky guess though. Megan hasn't been in a sleeping bag for ages now but i do what you do karly and go in just before i go to bed to cover her up and put a drink at the end of her cot so that when she wakes up she can have a drink and look at her book before she shouts MUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMYYYYY! I still put baby gros on her (the fleecy ones) so she is usually quite warm. Did anyone watch that programme the other night called whistle blowers? It was about nurserys and how the staff treated the children and how ofsted wern't inspecting them properly, it has put me off sending her to nursery, I'm going to wait till this september before i send her so hopefully she'll be dry and also will be able to talk and understand more , i know there are a lot of good ones however. I think the novelty of walking is wearing off megan now, because she is getting a bit lazy and whenever we go anywhere she keeps saying 'carry' but when i'm on my own without dp it's difficult because she gets heavy. it's worse when we're in a supermarket and she doesn't want to go in the trolley or walk. so we have to bribe with promises of sweets!! Anyway i must get some work done, speak soon love mandi x

Hi, Lucas hasn't had a grobag since he could stand up in the cot. I do the same though re his quilt and he wears fleecy sleepsuits for bed which are great I got them for about £3 from primark. Mandi I watched that whistle blowers as I was quite interested what with Lucas going to one and my stepdad owning a few. It was interesting to sat the least especialy the bit about child minders and holiday childcare. Nurseries are deffinatly more regulated than any other childcare and you can see the report online so that helps. Lucas goes in the pram everywhere, I am not brave enough to let him walk yet but then again I have DS2 to conted with as well most of the time and he is a handfull and half come 3.30pm as his medication wears off. He is currently playing football in the living room AAAHHH. I am seriously thinking of taking him back to the doctors. Got lucas weighed today 26lb 12oz wow just over the 50th line which is great. Karly had a good read of about the fist dozen pages of due in june, OMG i am on p3 it is amazing how many there was to start with, I know there where 2 mc's but a lot just didn't post more than a hand full of times, seems so long ago, made me laugh though. Speak soon Jayjay

Hi everyone Jackie i've booked the hairdressers for this saturday and was thinking of going a bit shorter aswell. I'm also gonna get some more blonde put in i went darker last time but it feels really drab. I've got loads of grey underneath too! It's my sisters babies christening on sunday so should be a nice day, i bought megan a lovely dress from woolworths it's really girly , it's white with bright pink flowers on and a little pink cardi to go with it, just got to get some frilly socks and ribbons for her hair. We still haven't had megan christened i feel awful really because the other two were done when they were quite small, i feel like she's a bit big now and would really wonder what the hell was going on if someone poured water on her head. So god knows if we'll get round to doing it. I always associate christenings with little babies not toddlers or children, anyway we couldn't decide on god parents either, has everyone had their babies done? Right best get going we're going on an easter bonnet parade and egg hunt on friday so i have a little straw hat to decorate!! Take care everyone, love mandi xx

Hi, Mamdi I wouldn.t worry about getting Megan christened none of my 3 are, I don't think it means as much now as it used to. How cute will Megan look in her new dress and cardi. Me and DS2 made a rock band out of a cereal box and eggs last night for the egg decorating comp at school and guess who ended up doing it!!! Looked good though! Better go tea time Jayjay

Hiya Well i'm slowly getting used to my hair its little things like when walk past a mirror and it doesnt really look like you!!(i am such a drama queen) But i have been told it makes me look younger so that is always a bonus!! We had joshua christened in feb last year dont really know why as neither me nor dh or our famillies are religous we only go to church for weddings, christenings or funerals, i think we thought with him being our 1st that we should, if thats makes sense. Hi Karly havent heard from you in the last few days, you haven't sneeked off into labour without telling us hun! speak soon jackie x x
