Hi everyone,
managed finally to log on from home, the computer is behaving!
Jayne sounds like a good holiday , we haven't been away this year yet but think we are going away in october for my birthday, we were thinking of Rome but i'm put off by what the weather will be like at that time of year so think we're going to Barcelona. (no kids)
We were shopping the other day and ended up buying Megan a bouncy castle, it was in the sale and is brilliant, it's quite big about 5 children could go on it. She is a bit young just yet but likes sitting on it while we bounce it up and down.
I felt awful the other day, megan was sat in a little chair and had her hands behind her back when all of a sudden she lent forward and fell straight on her face, it wouldn't have been bad if she'd landed on carpet but we have wood floors. anyway once we picked her up there was blood everywhere i thought she'd knocked a tooth out but luckily she'd just cut her lip and had a bit of a fat lip, bless her. We put cushions all around now whenever she sits in it.
Hope your having a good holiday karly!
Laura i hope you got tylas passport sorted and are now off sunning yourself.
Jackie you made me laugh saying when your on a mission you drink red wine, i don't go out intentially to get p*****ed but always seem to end up doing so!! Normally on white wine.
Take care everyone, speak soon, mandi xx

hey ho i'm back!

nice to know i've been missed girls, glad to see everyone's been great whilst i was away.

phew, where to start i need to catch up!

Jayjay - glad you had a great holiday hun, bet the break was just what you needed and good on you for making the most of it!

Laura aww poor tyla with her chicken pox, ah well at least you've got it over with now rather than her catching it at school later on. hope you managed to get the passport so that you could go on hols, ibiza is great enjoy yourself.

mandi dont feel bad about megan falling, accidents happen even when you always have your eyes on them! before we went away ollie bumped his head on a radiator whilst MIL was wastching him and cut his head, she's been wild with worry about it but he's been fine, surprising how resiliant kids are isn't it.

jackie sounds like joshys getting the hand of walking now, oliver's walking everywhere now too he's really confident.

got back from hols this morning, soo tired! had a great time tho, luckily the hurricane missed us tho we did have a few days of crazy storms. ollie loved it, spend most of the day in the pool or on the beach he was an absolute angel the whole time everyone kept commenting on how well behaved he is. he ate loads and slept well too which was a relief.

he got a bit of nappy rash because of the swim nappies and his bum being wet most of the time and we didnt have any bum cream so someone reccomended we try putting natural yoghurt on it. we did and he went crazy - d'uh it had milk in it i didn't even think of that caused a big itchy rash on his whole body i felt so bad! didn't think just milk being on his skin would make it react so bad what a fool.

whilst we were away my sil had a baby girl, Isabel on 21st August. she was 5 weeks early and has been in special care for a week, now they've moved her to a ward and hopefully she'll be coming home soon and i'll be able to see her cant wait.

i've been suffering really bad with morning sickenss for the past week and a half it's been a nightmare. have only actualy been sick a couple of times but i feel sick pretty much all day everyday Frowner hopefully soon it'll pass.

take care girls!

love

Karly x

Hi everyone
Karly so nice to have you back, and it sounds like you had a lovely holiday, what a star Ollie is, how well behaved. What was the flight like?
It's a shame about the rash that the yogurt caused i would never have thought about the milk allergy aswell.
Hope the morning sickness doesn't last too long, I remember feeling sick most mornings and before I got out of bed i would have an arrowroot biscuit. It seemed to do the trick, i never actually threw up!
I've had last week off work and it's been nice being at home and not clock watching, we haven't done much really just shopping and visiting family, oh and watching lots of cbeebies!! Megan is a complete square eyes her favorite is Balamory, in fact i could go on master mind with Balamory as my specialist subject! We have sky + the whole series link. As soon as she gets up she says Baa (she hasn't worked out the lamory bit yet!)
For Megans first birthday mil bought her a little car with a handle so you can push her along, and just recently she absolutley loves it and keeps pointing to the garage and saying car, so we used it instead of the buggy the other day, the only problem is , is it's a bit noisy .
Don't think i've much else to report, just mooching about tomorrow, going food shopping at asda. (how glamerous!)
Megan had her mmr on Thursday and i was really surprised at how she reacted, she just cried for about 30 seconds then was as right as rain, what a relief, the hv said she might be a bit out of sorts about a week after the jab, but so far she's been great.
Anyway Hi to everyone, speak soon, love Mandi xx

Where is everyone??????????

Just thought i'd say Hi, nothing much to report really my dp is watching football so thought i'd snatch 5 mins on here.
Been back at work today so Megan went to mil's, she has been going to my mums for the last 6 weeks but now the kids are back at school my mum can't have her. (she's a dinner lady)
Anyway instead of the usual 2hour sleep she normally has she had just under an hour! And she also had jam sandwiches and jaffa cakes for lunch followed by some salt and vinegar crisps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So as you can imagine she was absolutley knackered and wouldn't eat her tea properly she ended up going to bed at 5.30pm. If she's the same tomorrow i'm gonna have to say something i think. I don't want to fall out i just want her to stick to the routine.
Has anyone made any plans for Christmas yet? It'll be here before we know it, i've started buying a few presents, i'm gonna try and get a couple each week. I bought Megan a bouncing Tigger the other day it's so cute.
Karly how is ollie and bump? Hope the morning sickness isn't too bad.
Laura how was your holiday, i can't remember when you said you were back now. Hope Tyla enjoyed herself.
Hi to Jayne and Jackie too, Is everyones babies walking now because megan still isn't she just crawls everywhere.
Anyway speak soon love mandi xx

hiya ladies

Sorry haven't been around me and dh have been away for the weekend went to chester it was just the two of us, so had a really nice and relaxing time as dh is probably going back to work when we get back from out hols on the 17th, he wont of worked for 8 weeks so think it will come as abit of a shock to him!!!

Hi karly it's good to you have you back hun, really glad you had a good time and Ollie enjoyed himself. Is his eczema ok now after the yoghurt? DId you suffer with jet lag when we went i really struggled when we got home for a few days. Congratulations on your new niece, how is she getting on? what a lovely name she has, just think there are so many lovely girls names out there boys are much harder to name. How is the morning sickness? did you suffer with Ollie?

Mandi- Cant belive christmas is so close, every year i think i will get organized early but never do think i must like being stressed!! Is Megan still ok after her mmr, joshy has got his
week after next can't say i'm lokking forward to it much. Sorry to hear your still having trouble with mil it is so frustrating when they don't stick to your rountine because it's not them that have to deal with them when they are overtired, thats one of the reson why we sent Joshua to nursery for the mornings that i work then my mum and mil have him in the afternoon, family's eh they do like to complicate things.

hi Jayjay- hope you and yours are ok we haven't heard from you for a while.

Off to bed now as off shopping in the morning to get josh his 1st pair of clarkes shoes{quite excited really how sad am i)

take care

Hi everyone

Gald you had a good holiday Karly and that you and bump are well, can't belive you are 9 weeks already.

Lucas is still not walking but hey he will soon enough. He starts nursery next week, he will be going 2 mornings a week, he is having 2 hour visits this week to get him used to it. He is going because I was supposed to start a college course next week to be a classroom assistant and needed to be working as a voulenteer in a school,, but I was told yesterday that I can't start the course until next september as there were too many applicants, I am a bit POed but afterwards I thought it has actualy fell quite well as I will be qualified just as Lucas goes to school.

Jackie I bought my first christmas presents yesterday jsut 2 chunky cars as a stocking filler for lucas, but I realy want to get organised this year. DS2 wants a BMX and DS1 just wants the money but have got no idea what to get Lucas might get him a little tykes coupe car as always wanted one for the other 2 but never quite got round to getting one as we always lived in flats with no garden.

Hi to Mandi and megan sorry you are having probs with MIL.

Hi laura hope you and Tyla had a good holiday.

Will have to go as my fingers are hurting, once I get started I go on a bit dont I.

Jayjay

Hi ladies

Mandi- Did you manage to sort your washing out, men eh! i suppose he was only trying to help, i thik they do things like that on purpose so you don't ask them again.

Jayjay- Hope Lucas settles into nursery ok, Joshy does just 2 mornings a week and he loves it. Well done on training to be a teaching assistant, that was always something i was interested in doing so at least you would be home for school holidays.

Karly- Where are you hun???? Hope you and Ollie are ok? Have you had your scan yet? Is your niece doing ok now?

Laura- hope you and tyla had a fab holiday.

speak soon

hi girls sorry i've been awol i did write a post earlier in the week at work but lost it how annoying.

phew where to start!

mandi - i'm glad megan didnt suffer with her mmr jab it can really knock them about sometimes. ollie was really well behaved on the flight, the way there and the way back he slept most of the time. have you had a word with MIL about megans diet yet? maybe you could subtally get her a toddler cook book with some recepie ideas? she might just need a bit of inspiration.

jackie i hope you enjoyed your weekend in chester, i bet it was nice to have some couple time alone with your DH.how is he doing back at work?

ollies skin is actually pretty dry atm but i think its down to the softner ive been using so ive stopped and slowly its getting better. we've all been knocked about by jetlag, just getting back to normal now. last week i was having to drag ollie out of bed at 11.30-12.30pm he was mega sleepy. it was nice to have a lie in tho while it lasted!

isabel is out of hospital now, im going to see her on sunday i cant wait!!

i saw my mw on wed, got my 12 week scan on 26th sept very excited. morning sickness is still awful (i was sick 3 times at work yesterday ew) and im exhausted from pregnancy insomnia but other than that i'm good.

did you get joshy's first shoes the other day? we got a photo and a cirtificate from clarkes which was nice.

jayjay i hope lucas enjoys nursery, im sure he'll love it once he settles in and it'll give you a bit of time to yourself. wow going back to college how exciting.I was going to go to uni to do teaching but changed my mind. my friend has just qualified and she loves it.

laura glad ou had a good holiday and tyla enjoyed herself, have you got a date for when u start your new job yet?

i've been speaking to annie recently (currannie who had the twins do you remember her?) she said ellie and ross are doing great.

ok well i think thats about it for me! take care all

love Karly xx

Hi everyone,
Karly thanks for your tip on getting some toddler recipes for mil i hadn't thougt of that and its worth a try, the thing is mil is really good and means well so its tricky, megan is a really good eater and will eat almost anything, she would rather have fruit than a biscuit or crisps and i think whilst we control what goes in their mouths we may aswell be giving them healthy things.
Sorry to hear your still suffering with morning sickness just remember it doesn't last forever as soon as the placenta kicks in it usually stops. How big are you now? I know you said you were showing quite early on. can't wait to hear about your scan and to see if its twins or not.
Are you going to find out the sex? ( I don't think i can wait 9 months).
Laura glad you enjoyed your holiday and Tyla had a good time, when do you start your new job?
Jayne is Lucas walking yet because Megan isn't She is a right lazy bum.
Jackie how is Josh?
I have took the plunge today and contacted a cambridge diet consultant, i am just fed up with being overweight, I think i need to lose about 2 stone, and to be honest since having megan i've been struggling to lose it, I don't know if its because i had a c section but keep catching glimpses of myself in shop windows and am just not happy, so I'm gonna make a determined effort and hopefully lose some! Having said that i nearly ordered chinese tonight but stopped myself, god knows what i'll be like just living on shakes but hey its gotta be done.
Speak soon take care everyone, love mandi x

Hi everyone,
where are all of you?
My sister went into labour the day before yesterday (she is due on 13th) This is her first baby and I have just had a phone call to say she is having a c-section because of complications due to the placenta, so i'm just sat here waiting for the phone to ring. We know she's having a boy but i just hope everything goes ok.
We might even be able to go up tonight to visit.

God it doesn't feel like 10 mins ago that I was in hospital, apparently now you have to take your own bottles and milk and everything with you. When i was having megan i just had to take nappies and clothes.
Doesn.t it change so much!?
Any way i hope everyone is well, Karly where are you? Haven't heard from you in a while i hope the pregnancy is going ok.
Love mandi x

Hi girls

mandi i did the Cambridge diet I lost 2 ½ stone in 2 months and I really recommend it. I’m crap at dieting but although Cambridge was harsh it was worth it for the results – good luck chicki dee.

How is your sister have you seen your little nephew yet?

Jackie enjoy your holiday!

Jayjay, laura how are Tyla and Lucas?

Zzzz I’m like a zombie today I had to drag myself out of bed this morning..

Very hectic weekend and I’m still not sleeping good im so so tired.

I went to see my neice yesterday. The drive to Leeds was brutal but well worth it, she is so tiny she’s like a little doll, 3 weeks old and still only about 5lb 5oz.

Have felt it but haven’t actually been sick over the weekend I’m praying it’s over with now.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Love

Karly
