Laura, Tyla is beautiful, and looks very content. You and Karly seem to have been living it up recently - good for you.
I went on my first big shopping trip with Jake yesterday and he was great. Got some great bargins in the sale, and managed to have a relaxed lunch with my friend.
Lucy only thing I could think of and I'm sure you've thought of it already is that the teats may be too fast. I know what you mean about washing though its never ending and the lads only want to wear their England shirts which are wgite and always in the wash.
Well Lucas is now on the same dairy and soya free milk that Connor (DS2) was on when he was a baby. He has settled so much it is amasing. I took him to the doctors on wednesday as the poor thing had been crying on and off all morning and ten had a horrible looking nappy, the doctor gave me the milk on prescription as it it 11 for a small tin, she said that allergies can run in a family so poor Lucas had no chance his brother, uncle, cousin and aunt all have it. We are all off to a car boot and fair today so hope it doesn't get too hot. Hope you are all doing well and babies are fine. Jayjay and Lucas

Nice to hear everybody(mums an babies) are doin well.
My little girl is now 9lb 9oz, wen she was weighed last wed at 6 weeks old! The past 2 days she is now taking 4oz every 3hours during the day an 4oz every 4hours at night, i'm a bit worried that this might be too much too be having so wen i get her weighed tomorro i will ask the health visitor if i need to change her milk to a hungry baby milk, i've tried upping the oz's but she doesnt drink it, any ideas any one? Other than that she is good, not enjoyin this heat too much although iam! I am in all by myself, Tyla has gone to see her nanny and to pick up dinner off db's mum(no cookin for me today). Its strange bein in the house by myself, (although a lot easier to get things done, db works from home so he's always in my way wen i'm tryin to tidy up! )I have left Tyla with DB lots but i've gone out and they have stayed here, jus a bit strange the other way around! I feel lost even though i've got so much to do. Well enough rambling about me, hope all you mummies are enjoyin this glorious weather an hope all the babies are doin well. Lucy can you tell me Ruby's birth date and weight so i can edit the first post. Hi to jayjay, jack, syd, annie, kerry, karly, an lucy
Lots of Love

Tyla's milk situation sorted itself out yesterday, she went back to 4oz evey 4hours she must of been havin a growth spurt for a few days. How are all your babies handling this heat? I've just come back from seein my friend who has twins who are 3 months old, and they are both smaller than tyla, one is jus over 6lb and the other is jus over 9lb they were 10 weeks early so only weighed 1lb and 2lb at birth! They really don't like this heat and have been tearful on an off all day, to top it all off they had to have their second lot of injections today so that was makin them miserable aswell, poor things. Tyla has her first lot of injections next week! agggghhhhh! Poor little thing i bet she cries lots i dont know if i'll be able to watch, might have to take someone along to go in with her! Anyway hope to catch up with some of you girls soon, i'm gettin a bit lonely! I'm lookin forward to the new site as we will be able to have realtime conversations! Love

Lucas hates the hot weather I have decided to try and get one of those blinds that reflect the heat for his bedroom. Laura I am glad that Tyla's feeding has settled down, Lucas had the same thing on sunday he was taking 3oz every 2 hours although he has settled down now. Jayjay

Laura and JayJay - Jake not happy in the heat either, and his feeding went haywire 2oz every 2 hours. I put him to bed after only 2oz and thought I was in for a bad night but he slept for 7 hours. I think he's tired as hes not really sleeping in the day because of the heat.
Laura, Jake had his first set of Jabs on Monday with Sam, DS2 who had his preschool. I felt awful watching them both but the were fine. Jake was a bit grizzley later, but I gave him a little calpol and he was fine.
School hols start tommorow and ds1is off to his dads for 2 weeks holiday I will miss him like mad, although it will be nice not to have to do the school run.
Anyway better go got to do some ironing while Jake sleeps - awful in this heat but we have no clothes left.
Having a few problems with life in general at the moment. Not very happy at all and finding it hard to adjust to having Ruby here. I can't get everything done and am starting to feel useless. Spoke to the Health Visitor yesterday and she listened and said we will keep an eye on it.
Sorry to be such a moaner but I thought it might be good to tell u instead of just not posting.

Lucy, I'm kinda in the same boat as you, also why I've not posted, but reading your comments gave me the courage to blurt out my worries, realising I'm not alone. Here goes.
DH had been away from last Monday morning to late Wednesday night and when he got home he was little or no help to me, not getting up to assist with feeds. By Thursday evening I was so tired I just crumbled, threw a babys bottle across the room, stormed out and slammed the door behind me and broke down on the front doorstep. The door slam echoed round the neighbourhood like a gun shot, I'm sure there must have been twitching curtains. I haven't been able to look the neighbours in the eye since. Some will think a raving looney has moved in and hopefully others will understand. The following day I was getting distressed in M&S, and then burst out crying in the middle of the High Street to another twin mum I'd only met once before. Think it's because she would understand what I was going through, although 20 mins earlier I was chatting away to people saying how things were going fine. It's true how you do keep putting on a brave face and false smile. I don't want people to think I'm a failure.
I talk to my HV every week about how I feel and how I'm coping, but I always end it with "I'm quite sure it's just tiredness". I had PND with DS 2 and don't want to suffer the same again, but at what point do I realise if it is PND and not just the stress and tiredness of raising 2 newborns? I told DH how I was feeling, only for him to start shouting at me. I need his support, not arguments. He's also started being a sh1t towards my 2 older sons due to his tiredness and I resent him for that. He accepted them before, but now he has his "own" babies it's a different story, or it seems that way to me.
On a positive side though, we stopped using the Omneo Comfort as the babes were very windy, and it was soooo smelly it was embarrassing, almost to the point where I would have to put them down and walk away. Jayjay/Jack did you find the same. Ellies nappies were yukky too, really watery (sorry), so at the 6 week check I asked the Dr about SMA Staydown and I was given a tin on prescription. After reading how to make the feeds ups, I wasn't too sure about using it so I contacted the SMA Careline and the lady said unless the babes had significant reflux that was affecting their weight gain, she wouldn't recommend using it and why not try SMA White, so I did and they are doing great on it.
On Tuesday night it was so hot DH and I slept downstairs witht the babes and Ellie went from midnight to 9am!!! and last night Ross had a top up after his bath at 10pm, he only took 1oz but slept until 5.15am so things are improving. They are taking 5oz, sometimes 6oz and are having 4 feeds through the day and 1 through the night. They were weighed yesterday and Ellie is now 9lb 9.5oz and Ross 10lb 5.5oz, so the gap between them is closing in.
Sorry this has been another mammoth post from me, but I feel better now for letting it out. Hope everyone else is fine.
Love Annie and kids

Annie I'm so sorry you feel the same too. I am putting on a brave face everywhere I go but crying in the car or at home alone. DH is really great and is helping me but that makes me feel guilty too. Glad we have someone to talk to.
DH is home Speak soon Lucy

Annie, Lucy - so sorry to hear that you are feeling down.
I have had a bad week, but keep thinking that I have 4 children to look after and anyone would be tired and depressed at times. Annie you are doing really well being on your own with twins - I was on my own a lot with DS1 and it is exhausting & I had only 1, and Lucy Ruby is still very little and the heat makes them not want to settle. Not many people have 4 children these days and I bet your coping better than you think.
MY biggest problem is DH, we seem to be permanently snapping at each other, and his work is very busy so that seems to occupy him most of the time - convenient at times I think .
Lucy I know what you mean about getting nothing done, it drives me mad, and I want to weap when I have cleaned a room and the boys mess it up again. I keep trying to think that it doesn't matter if its messy and just get the essentials done.
Annie, my eldest is from a previous marriage and when DS2 was born my husbands first was born there was an element of this is my first child, or the other way, overcompensating with the eldest because he wasn't his. It has calmed down now and they have a good relationship.
Annie, Jakes poos are very smelly, watery and green, apparently normal with the milk but definitely horrible, he also only wants to drink 3oz at a go - he is 10 weeks now. Bit worried but don't want to keep swopping and changing milk.
Sorry for such a ramble and don't want to sound like a know it all, just want you to know that we're here for you and that you are doing better than you think - 4 is a lot of children, especially when you have older and younger ones to keep amused.
It really does make a difference knowing I'm not the only one feeling the way I do. I totally agree about never getting things done, or as you say Jack others messing up our hard work. I got my parents to have the 4 kids on Tuesday to allow me to catch up with the housework, but looking around now, I wish I never bothered doing it, but it's the same old story, if I don't do it, no one else will.
My DH is also so busy with his work, in 5 weeks he has to take 12 customers to a show in Finland from Wed to Sun, then 4 weeks after that he has another show near Birmingham for another 4 days. He thinks it will be fine as the babies will be twice the age they are now, and I pointed out if they are still not sleeping through the night, then they will just be twice as heavy to carry up and down the stairs.
Ellie is crying, better go for now, but I'm glad I have you guys to talk to, thanx.
Annie x

sorry i havent posted in a while, it's been none stop around here the past few weeks.[]
annie, lucy i'm sorry to hear you're feeling down.[] like i said before you two and jack have got to be bloody super mums to be able to deal with 4 kids at once i have no idea how you do it. i hope things get better for you both soon.
Annie if you're not sure about the PND ask your HV to do the test on you (where your score indicates whether you have PND) i'm sure you've probably had it done before, as you usually have it 6 weeks postnatal but i'm sure they'll do it again if you're concerned chick.
well oliver is now nearly 5 weeks old and last week weighed 9lb 4oz. [][] i feel so good he's doing so well as it's all down to my breastfeeding, which i'm really glad i perservered with.
he's becoming a lot more alert in the daytime now, and can easily stay awake for about 2 hours at a time. it taking just over 4oz every 4 hours ( from what i can gather from when i express) and is sleeping well at night. not quite through the night yet, but he generally only wakes me up once so i cant complain. have even managed to start getting him into bed early again after his bath, which i never thought would be possible. thinking about moving him into the nursery when he's 6 weeks, so i can get a better nights sleep. never realised how noisy babies are when they're asleep and i'm such a light sleeper the slightest murmer wakes me up whereas simon sleeps like a log.
trying to get out and go somewhere everyday to stop boredom setting in (and making the most of my new car!) which has been really nice since the weathers hot. ~Oliver hasnt really been all that bad in the heat, but he did get a nasty prickly heat rash. thakfully it's now gone, and his persistant sticky eye has cleared up too.
oh yes good news - we finally sold the house yippee![][] lost the dream house we put an offer on earlier in the year so now we're back doing lots of viewings to try find a house for us. hopefully this time next we'll have bought one.
