Hi Girls Karly well done on the new house I know how long you have been after that one. Knowsley is our nearest safari park as well so I don't think we will be going there for a while. Lucas now has 6 teeth 4 at the top and still 2 at the bottom. We have ended up getting a playpen instead of saftey gates as we didn't realise that our doors are very narrow and standard gates dont fit only those that you have to drill to the door frame, which we don't want to do as we are hopeing to sell this year. Hope everyone has a nice easter if I dont get to post before. Jayjay

Hi everyone, sorry i haven't beem on in a while just doing work and housework (boring things really!) Congratulations on your new house karly it's stessfull and exciting at the same time isn't it, i remember when we moved here nearly 3 years ago we were permanently on the phone chasing solicitors etc, but its well worth it once your in and settled. I have had the most stressful day ever today! my oh has gone to the football with his dad, so because its such a nice sunny day mil and sil and her 2 children decided to walk round here and suggested we all go for a walk up to the beach, it was quite a nice idea but megan was well over due a sleep, anyway i agreed to go because mil insisted that she would fall asleep in her pram, well we had only been out for about 10 minutes when megan started getting fed up in her pram mainly because we were walking so slow and the sun was in her eyes, mil laid the pram down and just kept saying ssshhhhh go to sleep, well it turned into a full blown tantrum so a picked her up and calmed her down, then mil took her off me and put her back in the pram again of course she started getting upset again, i know you shouldn't spoil them and keep picking them up but i now how best to get her to sleep. (she's normally in her cot at that time). I was absolutley fuming and felt like telling her to pxxxx off and that she's my daughter and i know whats best for her!!! This went on for what seems like ages she had big tears rolling down her face and was gasping for breath, so i thought sod it and picked her up and turned the pram round and told them both i was taking her home, i am sure they think i'm too fussy but i don't care, i've texted oh and told him what an absolute nightmare it was and i won't be doing it again!! As soon as we started walking home i put her back in the pram and she stopped crying because i let her sit up and once we were home she went to bed and fell asleep no problem, i just keep thinking now is this how she gets her to sleep when she looks after her whilst i'm at work! it upset me to see her like that. Anyway sorry for ranting i am just so mad!! hope you are all having a nice easter, does any of your little ones like t.v. megans favorite at the minute is in the night garden, with macca pacca etc. sorry gtg mil is here again!!! love mandy x

hi ladies Mandi what an absolute nightmare!I'd have reacted exactly the same if i was you. when I'm at work and oliver is at MIL's she’s now stopped letting him sleep in his cot for his daytime naps. Instead she takes him out in the pram when he’s knackered, he sleeps for half an hour and that’s it. She does this twice a day so the most he gets is an hour’s sleep and as before he’s exhausted when I pick him up. It’s starting to get me down now because I hate seeing him tired and unhappy, she always comments on how ratty he is but no matter how many times I tell her she doesn’t understand it’s because he’s so tired. Didn’t want to cause a fuss again and make her mad so I’ve told simon he’s got to have a word today when he drops ollie off. It’s not that I don’t want her to take him for walks it’s just that I know he needs his sleep and the best place for him to get it is in his cot, now he’s older he won’t sleep for long enough anywhere else because he keeps getting disturbed. We’ve had a lovely weekend at the seaside over easter. Oliver has never been to the beach before and he really enjoyed himself playing in the sand (although he got it absolutely everywhere). We also took him swimming for the first time too, it was so funny to see him so excited. Sorry for lack of personals I’m at work (boo) Take care all hope you’re all enjoying the fabulous weather.

hi all, Karly you made me feel bit better knowing your mil takes no notice of you either. I've told tony about the whole thing and that she never listens to me and thank god he understood and was in agreement with me (think i would of killed him if he hadn't). I think i'll let him say something as its his mum! she probablly won't listen to him either. I know they love her and spoil her rotten but because of all this i've started to resent even going round there now. Think i'm gonna ask my mum to start looking after her a bit more. (she had a shop untill recently so wasn't able to). Anyway hasn't the weather been great, we went to the zoo yesterday and took a picnic, megan loved it and got excited looking at the animals and all the other children. she absolutley loves kids and babies. Unfortunately i'm working this morning but think we're going into town this afternoon. then because my sil has come up for the weekend (she lives in boston lincs) mil wants a photograph of all the grandchildren together. aaaaggggghhhh!!!!! Oh a quick question how much formula are all the babies having now, i'm still making megan a bottle before bed but to be honest she just isn't interested in it and i'm lucky if she has 3oz! I was going to ask the hv if this is ok, she is putting on weight regularly though so i don't supose shes coming to any harm. What stage are you up to in the house move karly? I supose things have had to wait because of the bank holiday weekend eh? Hows tyla doing with her walking laura? Hope josh is ok jackie. Hope lucas had a good easter jayne. Anyway better get some work done!! love mandy x

Mandi I think mums that don’t have issues with their MIL are very fortunate! I know I may sound selfish and ungrateful, don’t get me wrong I really appreciate her looking after Oliver but it just gets my goat that she does as she likes and doesn’t listen to me. At the end of the day her actions are upsetting my baby which is why I get so angry about it. I couldn’t care less what she thinks of me it’s Oliver that’s the most important thing. Anyway I will shut up about it now because otherwise I’ll go on about it all day.. I’m working too today, rubbish isn’t it but the weathers crap too now so I’m happy I had the whole weekend off and went away because it was glorious then. We’re slowly getting there with the house move, we’ve had to have another mortgage approved (as the other one we had extended was on the other house we bought last year), and the solicitor now have to get their asses into gear and get all the searches done. We went by for a nose at the house on the way home last night and saw some definite movement, we think maybe the owners family are I the process of moving out which will be a good thing. OH is going to find out tonight because he’s going to go and speak to our new neighbours, as you can tell he’s very keen about us moving! We’ve been told that it should probably take 4-6 weeks for everything to go through as there’s no chains which means we should hopefully be in by end of may beginning of June. We’ve got a lot of work to do though because although the house is only 3 years old it needs gutting so we’ll be delayed a little bit but hopefully not too long. Oliver has been standing up loads the past week, he’s pulling himself up on everything he can get his hands on. The funniest thing happened this morning, I got up for work and heard him rustling about I went in a bit later to find he’d managed to get himself out of his sleeping bag, crawl to the top of the cot and was stood up at the bars opening the curtains! As if to say, I’m awake, let some light in so I can play! He’s such a little character. Oh yes and the milk question, Oliver is still on what he was on before, 7oz in the morning 5oz in afternoon and 7oz before bed plus 4oz on his breakfast but he’s not got a massive appetite at the moment because of his top teeth coming through. I think he’s getting a bit bored of jars now too, I’ve been trying him on a couple of baby homemade recipes but he doesn’t like my cooking very much! Anyone got any ideas what I can try him with? How is everyone else anyway, still enjoying the bank holiday? Love Karly x

Hi all Hope you all had a lovely easter weekend, wasn't the weather lovely. We had a good time took Joshua to the zoo he loved all the animals and i ate too many easter eggs(dreading getting weighed on monday) Mandy- poor you all the trouble with your mother in law, why do they always think they know best as it was over 30 years ago they last looked after a baby!!!!. On the milk front Joshy has 9oz in the morning,6oz at lunch then 9oz before bed. As long as Megan is puttin on weight she must be having what she needs. Karly- I tried Joshua on some home cooking as like you i thought he was getting fed up of jars but he didn't seem to like it he kept on heaving so not sure what to give him, might have a look at my anabel karmel book for some inspiration. Jayjay- Isn't Lucas doing well with 6 teeth bless him. We have just got our stair gates fitted as at last Joshy has started to crawl, its so funny as he gets so excited i think it us all cheering him along. laura- Hope tyla is ok? Must get ready now as work in the morning take care jackie and joshua x x

Hi girls Jackie glad you all had a lovely weekend, the weather was soo nice wasn't it i think i even managed to get a bit of a tan! I think we all ate too many eggs, don't worry about it it's only once a year. We have progress on the homemade cooking front. Oliver is now lapping it up. I think it just took a bit of getting used to because mine are more textured than the jars. the receipes i tried he didn't like so i threw something together myself and he ate it all up. I've done two batches of pasta based food, just using the annabell carmel pasta stars or shells (from boots) some of her tomato sauce, and then just threw in some veg (peas/sweetcorn) and added tiny chicken pieces or tuna. at first i just mixed it in with a bit of a similar jar but no he'll eat it on his own. I'm getting some spuds today to make some potato, fish and cheese sauce one, hopefully he'll like that too. give it a go, let me know how you get along. yay to josh crawling! ollie is more intereasted in standing up and cruising around the furniture now, it's surprising on how confident he's gotten in the past week. I dont think it'll be long before he's walking. Back at the dermatologist monday. hopefully we'll finally get him diagnosed. Everyone else ok??

Hi Girls Got Lucas's photo's done at Pixi photo this morning. They are based in Mothercare world in liverpool. They are gorgeous I bought £200 worth DH will go spare if he finds out how much they cost so luckily I have 8 weeks to pay for them. The doctor changed Lucas's milk on tuesday from the milk intolerance one to SMA Staydown which is made for reflux baby's, well I couldn't belive it tuesday night he slept for 13 hours, didn't wake up until 8.50, and 11 hours last night so will defo keep him on it. We didn't get stair gates as they were all to big for our door frame sso we got a playpen instead. Lucas is now having two 7 oz botles 1 at night and 1 in the morning. he has yogaurts and milky breakfast. He has started to eat thing that the othe boy's have such as chicken nuggets and little fish shapes which he love's as it makes him a big boy. Gave him some dairylea butties yesterday which he loves as well, he will have a try of anything though. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely weather. Jayjay

hi jayjay Pixi photo are great aren't they, they're the ones that took the photos of ollie in boots a few weeks ago. we have a pixi photo studio in our mothercare world, but it was so much cheaper to get them done when the came to boots. mad isn't it it's the same people doing it but i guess the cost doesnt matter if the photos are gorgeous. We paid £120 for ours and that included almost all the photos they took, with about 6 copies of each in different sizes plus a huge one of our favourite. Simons dad is scanning them and going to email me them so i'll post them when i can. that's great about the doc changing lucas' milk and that he's taken so well to it. Must be good if he's sleeping longer at night. I've just made a fish pie for oliver using a receipie from SMA and it smells gorgeous i could eat it myself. If anyone wants the recepie give me a shout and i'll email you it. simon took oliver to get weighed and he's now 17oz 15lb, so not far off 18lb another 2 to go till he reaches 20lb but he's shot up in height, grew 6cm in a month! so now he really does look big for the carseat, we're going to take him after the hospital on monday and see what they say. i really hope they figure out what it is that's wrong with his skin, we've been waiting long enough, over 6 months now to get it diagnosed. it's baffling because he even had it before he was weaned, when he was just breastfed so i cant think what he might be allergic to, and i've tried every washing powder under the sun. Luckily it doesn't seem to bother him too much, it's just when he hasn't any clothes on that he scratches. got a busy weekend ahead but i'll pop on next week to let you know how it goes x

Hi girls, Sorry i havent been on lately wit all this nice weather i've been out an about during the day an then in the evening getting all my bits an pieces done around the flat. We've been to the park every day and for walks and sitting in friends an families gardens, jus enjoyin the weather b4 it dissappears! Mandi- sorry your having trouble wit your MIL, i would of reacted exactly the same as you did, luckily for me my MIL is fine, we only see her once a week on a sunday wen we take tyla to see her an she cooksus sunday lunch an she doesnt interfere at all! Tyla is having 2 beakers of milk 5-7oz each time, i've started to mix an oz of cows milk in with each feed so i can gradually build it up so that by the time she is 1 she will be on cows milk 100%. Karly- I'm so pleased your house is goin through you've waited so long for it to happen. Ollie is pulling himself up now clever boy, although tyla is walkin she has only jus begun to pull herself up on things the past few days. Good luck for monday hope the give you a diagnosis. Jayjay- Glad Lucas pics came out nice, i've booked tyla in to have hers at our mothercare the week b4 her birthday at the end of may, did you go for traditional or contemporary? Jackie- Well done to Joshy for crawlin, i wish tyla would of crawled as at 1 point it made her so frustrated as she couldnt move by herself! well Tyla is well and truly walkin now, holds on to something an then jus lets go an walks across the room, its so cute she looks like a drunken man! Still have to follow behind her though as if she doesn't make it to somethin sturdy then she falls over so we've had a couple of bumps to the head. She has 8 teeth now and the canine 2 are there ready to come through so i'm thinkin mayb 10 teeth by the time she's 1 in 6 weeks time! She's sayin a couple more words Duck and ga da for grandad, she's also tryin to say tyla and katie which is tylas auntie. Anyway enough bout tyla have a lovely weekend the weather is supposed to be wonderful.

hi girls ww how cute is tyla's 'drunken man' walking! how sweet she's so clever. I can't believe how soon it is until our little darlings turn one, i think it's about 8-9 weeks until oliver's. Has anyone decided what to buy them yet? I've stolen an idea from jules oliver and decided to buy him a tree for our new garden, so it can grow up as he does.. cheesy i know but i thought it was a bit different! lovely weather this weekend wasn't it, did anyone get up to anything nice? we spent the day in leeds yesterday visiting my family, spent most of the day in the garden having a BBQ it was really nice. Went to the dermatologist today, they still aren't 100% sure of what it is but have taken another stab in the dark and guessed it might be a rare form of eczema usually found in adults. they gave us some different creams/emmolients and said with the strong cream we've got to try it for 3 days and if it doesn't clear it up we've got to take him back for a biopsy. after that they'll probably have to refer him to the children's hospital for futher treatment. i'm hoping the cream works, who knows it might do but if not at least they'll send us somewhere where they know what they're talking about. Sorry for the rant i'm just a bit fed up of it all now, some so called doctors are just so cr@p. speak soon, love Karly x p.s here's the pixi photos we had done
