Hi girls Has everyone had a nice weekend? We’ve been on some lovely walks this week, it’s been great to be outside with sunshine rather than wind and rain. Laura how cute about tylas new shoes! We got something through the door from clarks about crawling shoes actually last week. I didn’t know they even did them, I thought the first pair of proper shoes was when they were walking properly (which I suppose tyla is isn’t she) Jack I have the same problem with oliver too, he moves around a lot and now he’s in a 6-18 months sleeping bag he’s got much more material to get tangled up in. he only does it when he wakes up on a morning though so it’s not interrupting his sleep. Maybe you could try not using a sleeping bag? Or he might grow out of it?? Thanks for the advice on carseats everyone, I’m going to ask the HV when I take oliver to get weighed this week, see what she says. I think he’d be much better in a forward facing one as he’s really nosey too. Madi Oliver has about 24oz of milk a day, 7oz in the morning 4oz on his weetabix, 5oz bottle in afternoon and 7oz before bed. As Megan’s getting older now I don’t think having so much milk is as important, but I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that babies should have at least 18oz milk a day until they’re 18 months?? I don’t know? If she’s having dairy from other sources I’m sure she’ll be fine though. Your HV will know better than me! Oliver has been suffering terribly with teething all week, his 2nd bottom tooth is on the way through. Have had calpol, ashton and parsons powders and medised on standby though to get us through it. Hopefully it won’t be long until it comes through. We’re getting some more photos of him done this week. We haven’t had any done in quite a while because of Olan Mills going bust but Pixi Photo are going to be coming to a Boots near us so we’re going to get some done there. Good idea for his Nannie’s mother’s day present but I don’t expect we’ll get them back until after Sunday. Has anyone else got anything nice planned? He’s totally mastered crawling properly now and is getting everywhere more than ever! He’s always grabbing at things he shouldn’t be touching, the little monkey he’s running me ragged! How our little one’s are growing up ey.

Hi everyone Hope your all doing ok? Joshua is not very well he has got a virus he is covered in spots today so took him to the doctors, he has been unwell over the weekend with a temperature but i thought it was his teeth as he is biting everything and everybody in sight!! He seems to be feeling better since the rash came out thou(bless him). Mandi-Joshua has now changed his milk to progress and his about 21-24oz a day plus yoghurt and full cream milk on his weetabix. I used to really worry about how much milk he was having but the hv never seemed to concerned just as long as there weight gain is ok. Karly- Can't believe ollie is crawling, hope joshy isn't too long he is trying but just can't quite manage it.Think we are going to get some professional photos done like you say they make great presents. hi Laura, jayjay and little ones. best go its time for some more calpol take care jackie xx

hi girls jayjay ouch 3 teeth coming through at once no wonder lucas is suffering. teething is such a nightmare, i just wish that one day he's wake up with a full set of teeth without the pain and suffering. jackie sorry to hear josh is poorly, i'm glad he's getting better. luckily oliver hasnt had so much as a sniffle since he was born so i havent had to deal with him being poorly yet. he was breastfed until he was 5 months though so i think that has helped build up his immunity and althogh simon was a sickly child i very rarely catch anything. my brothers GF had her scan this week, it's not twins (as they'd expected) just the one, she's 12 weeks now and they've decided to find out the sex at the next scan. they've already chosen names, scarlett rose for a girl and ethan william for a boy.very posh! mandi, laura how ru guys? speak soon love Karly x

p.s forgot to mention we've got to take ollie back to the dermatologist about his eczema on friday. it's a lot better now but there's still some stubborn patches that wont clear up. also he's got another hearing test on tuesday to check that his glue ear has cleared. and i'm taking him to get weighed tomorrow and ask if its ok to get the forward facing car seat. also i've got my racing day at silverstone next thursday, i've chosen to do rally driving, getting nervous about it now!

hi everyone, What a lovely day today eh? nice and sunny think we will go for a walk later (via a few shops!) Jackie sorry to hear about josh being poorly its horrible when they're not well luckily megan has only had a cold and it didn't really come to much, she did however come out in a rash once (on her tummy and back) and the hv said it will dissapear as fast as it came, i just put it down to teeth. Hope joshy gets better really soon. x by the way megan isn't crawling yet i keep wishing she would but then again she'll probably be into everything once shes on the move! Karly hope everything goes ok at the docs re olivers excema, is it the infant kind that they grow out of? Having said that my 14yr old has suddenly developed excema on the back of her legs she has never had it before even as a baby, the doc said its stress related. (if thats the case i should be covered!! ha ha) I'm really jelous of your rally day at silverstone i would love to do that, i always say when top gear is on that i'd love to go round the track (with the stig). I had megan weighed last friday and she was 19lb 5oz. and 73.5 cm long apparently she is just under the 75th centile for weight and just above 91st centile for height. so looks like shes gonna be tall.we have her development check next monday so not sure what the do for that, will let you know. She absolutley loves her new car seat and we never hear a peep from her when we go out, only the occasional laugh as she sees something out of the window. Anyway i'll go and get some house work done while shes asleep , i'm expecting a mammoth sleep as shes been at mil last two days! Hope your all well, love to babies, mandy x

Hiya all Joshy seems to much better today his rash is startin to clear as well.I wondered if it might of been from his teeth but yesterday it looked like he had measles so i was really worried especially as 2 of my sis in laws are pregnant!! mandy- glad megan like's her new car seat i think they feel more grown up travelling forwards it must be horrible going backwards all the time, i dont like going backwards when i'm on a train. Karly- Congratulations on soon to becoming a auntie, when others are pregnant it makes me feel broody again! You are lucky that ollie has never been poorly like you say i think breastfeeding helps, i only managed a month found it really hard. Hope all goes well at the dermatologists. You will have a great day at silverstone racing around. hiya laura and jayne jackie x x

hi girls mandi dont you worry megan will be on the move in no time and running circles around you like oliver does me! you must be the only woman alive that actually likes top gear. i'm forced to watch it every sunday, had to compromise because i make simon watch lost! Jackie i'm glad josh is better now, as predicted oliver has now come down with FIL's cold very snotty and bunged up at the moment bless him but he's not too bothered about it. i seem to be seeing pregnant women everywhere it makes me really broody too. we're going to leave TTCing again until august though (as we'd like another summer baby) and i've put myself back on the pill until to stop myself getting tempted! went to the dermatologist again yesterday bout olivers eczema. we saw a different one this time and he said he thinks it might not be eczema after all, because the steroid cream shoud've cleared it up by now. we've gotta go back again in a few weeks to see all the consultants at once so they can agree on what it actually is. he said its nothing serious but i am a bit worried about it, at least he's doing something about it rather than fobbing us off like the other one did. we also went to get oliver a new carseat yesterday. he was 17lb 8oz last week and the lady in the shop said he couldnt go in a forward facing one until he's 20lb. apparently its something to do with the strain it puts on their necks when you break or something so he needs to be that weight. he only puts on about a lb a month though so he'll probably be nearly one by the time he weighs 20lb. annoying as he's starting to hate his current seat but i guess these people know more than me. we got his photos taken at boots yesterday. pixi photo are going to be there all week and they did a really good job im looking forward to getting them back. going to leeds tomorrow for mothers day, really looking forward to a lovely sunday dinner. Happy mothers day for tomorrow everyone! love Karly x

Hi Everyone, Hope you all had a good mothers day. Lucas has finally cut one of the teeth that were coming through, so we had a better nights sleep last night. Poor thing has had a chest infection and thrush as well, little monkey keeps trying to eat the shopping trolley in asda, I think thats where he go the thrush from. Karly I hope you get Ollies skin sorted, Did they say what they thought it might be. I went to boots today and got some calgel for free with the care at the chemist scheme, it's supposed to mean you don't have to go to the doctors so much, you can get all sorts for the children for free calpol, cough medicen and nit stuff when you need it. Jayjay.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice mothers day i got a lovely teddy and a card from megan, the other two didn't even manage a card (teenagers!!!). Jayne that sounds like a good scheme at boots with getting free stuff i've never heard of that before but will probablly use it, calpol gets expensive, wonder if they give you teething powders aswell? Karly i know what you mean about top gear i use to hate it but now i really like it, think i've got a secret crush on richard hammond!! We took megan for her development check this morning and all was ok, the doctor checked her eyes and her hips and made sure she could sit alone etc, she was really good and kept smiling and waving at the doctor. We also got given a free book pack with 2 really nice hard back books for her, apparently you get them given now and then again when they are 2 and 4, it's supposed to encourage children to be interested in books. It was weird at the clinic seeing all the new little babies they look so small next to our big ones now. I met another mum who's baby was born on the same day as megan and she was telling me about some mum and baby swimming lessons so i think i might go along to one, we haven't took her swimming yet and i'm looking forward to going. Anyway i hope you are all well and got some lovely pressies for mothers day, love mandy x

Hi ladies Jayjay poor lucas catching thrush. Fancy getting it from the shopping trolley you should pull them up in asda and tell them about their grubby trollies! Babies this age just want to get their gobs around anything and everything don’t they. It’s hard to keep them away from germs and stuff especially when they’re crawling around on the floor all the time. I’m sure he’ll be better in no time. Great stuff about the free calpol from the chemist, I like the sound of that. They didn’t even say what they thought might be wrong with oliver’s skin, they just asked us to take him back so they could all look at him at once and agree on what it is. He might have to go to a skin specialist at Birmingham hospital. I’m not worried for now because it doesn’t really bother him, he doesn’t scratch or anything but it does look nasty in places. I’m just happy someone’s actually doing something about it rather than fobbing us off like we have been for the past 6 months. Mandi well done megan for passing her development test, clever girl. We got some free books too at ours. Oliver loves getting read to and has lots of books at home, he likes a book and a cuddle with his milk before bed. I’ve been reading to him since he was a newborn as i love to read too. His current favourite book is called ‘Peepo’ and he gets really excited when he sees me getting it out, it’s so cute. Glad you had a nice mothers day, I got a ‘best mummy’ mug, some flowers and some posh fizzy rose wine. We spent the day in Leeds so got to see my grandma and all my family, my step mum cooked us a lovely Sunday dinner too which was yummy as I hadn’t had one in a long time whilst I was on CD. My brother and his GF are getting really excited about their baby. She’s only 14 weeks but they’re buying loads of stuff already. Once they find out the sex at the next scan they’ll probably go really mad and are dying to paint the bedroom pink/blue. Bless them it makes me so broody. Laura, Jack, Jackie did you all have a nice mothers day with your little ones? Take care all, Love Karly

hi everyone must've been a busy week for you all, how is everyone? had my ralley day at silverstone on Thursday, it was so good i really enjoyed it. Got a cracking photo of me skidding the car around a corner with a look of pure terror on my face lol. Jackie that's a good idea you're getting joshua used to going to nursery before you go back to work. i did the same with ollie at MIL's when is it you're returning to work? It's strange when you're home alone without them isn't it, makes you feel a bit lost. just what did we do with all thay spare time before we had a baby? i don't think they do the 6-12 month development tests in all areas, i think it's just me and Mandi that've had them for Oliver and Megan, Tyla and Lucas haven't had them i dont think. Jayjay is Lucas' thrush gone yet? and are you still sticking at slimfast? you've got some determination girl, well done. Laura you haven't posted in a while, everything ok? have tyla's top teeth come through yet? now his cold's gone and his other tooth is through oliver's been a pleasure the past few days, he's started waving aswell now. I took him to asda yesterday and he insisted in sitting in the proper sitting up seat so he could see properly, he loved it but kept grabbing things off the shelves or from other peoples trolleys! we've had some progress on the ongoing house drama. there's two identical houses (including the house we bought last year that fell through) on the same estate and we'd be happy to have either. one is cheaper but not very looked after and the other is really nice but overpriced! we've decided that we're going to start negotiations on price and hopefully have bought one by the end of next week. the bank have said if we cant sell ours we can change our mortgage to a buy-to-let which will enable us to rent it out and still buy the other so we're lucky in that prospect. hopefully someone will but ours though and we wont have to. moving house is such a stress i never want to have to go through this again! anyhoo enough rambling from me, post soon girls or i'll look like a mad woman talking to myself! will post some recent piccies of ollie in a bit. speak soon love Karly x x
