hi ladies

mandi i think some babies just talk later than others, i dont think you have anything to worry about. apparently some babies are more into moving around and progressing with crawling/rolling/walking etc than talking, im sure it wont be long before you know it you wont be able to shut her up!

i cant wait until the summer either, especially hoidays.

Jackie i'm glad your HV has been able to shed some light regarding your milk worries. Ollie isn't on follow on milk because of his milk allergie he has soya milk and they dont do follow on soya milk. There's always something to worry about with babies isn't there. i hope i'm more laid back with the next one!

Laura - congrats on Tyla's first steps! amazing that she's not even 9 months old yet and she's starting to walk already. now you'll really have to watch her.

If your HV isn't concerned about her weight, you've no need to worry. like she said tylas probably burning it off as she's really active. she's definately got a healthy appitite!

Great idea on alternatives to jars. they'll have to stop having them eventually wont they. (any it'll be so much cheaper, oliver is literally eating ups out of house and home!) oliver prefers 'proper' food to jars too, he wants what we eat i dont think he sees himself as a baby anymore!

glad you enjoyed your night out and tyla was ok for your brother, i'm sure he didn't mind playing games at midnight!

i'm going out in leeds next friday so me and oliver are taking a bit of a road trip to stay with my family. My Dad'as going to babysit, i feel so much better about leaving oliver with him rather than MIL.

Ollies check with the HV went well, she said to get him a toothbrush and book him in to see the densist so the three of us are going on a family outing to the dentist next week. he loves getting his tooth brushed too, get really giddy when we do it before bathtime.

anyway he's trashing the room now so i better go!

bye x x

Hi all

Laura - Wow Tyla taking her first steps thats amazing. The trouble starts now!!! but its going to be great fun.

I am very jealous with the amount your babies sleep Jake wakes up between 6 & 6.30, will sleep for up to an hour all day (but normally less) and back to bed at 6.30pm. I think this is why he has been so grumpy. I have tried everything to get him to sleep more but he only has about 20 mins at a time and then is raring to go - I think he just wants to be like his brothers!!!

They are all doing well with their eating - Are you finding that they are going off the jars and seem to want to eat what you are - Jake is doing quite well but still forgets to chew at times!!

Jake is everywhere now and crawling fast - I keep having to tidy the little toys away from the others. I got a shock the other morning as he was sitting up in his cot - he is now standing so we have to drop the cot.

Anyway sorry for rabbiting must go.

Love Jack

Hi Girls,

Laura OMG Tyla is walking, this is were the fun starts. I am sure her weight will even it's self out.

Lucas is crawling now, only takes a few 'steps' and goes back to comando but getting there. We are back at the hospital this week to sort out his medicine, hope we can get it sorted as he is up all night almost every night. Had to take DS2 to A&E on wednesday night as he fainted, it was so scary, it turned out he has been sneeking drinks of milk out of the fridge little horror, has a dairy allergy.

I have been doing my diet for 3 1/2 weeks now and have lost 26lb so I am over the moon.

Hi Jack, Mandy, Jackie and Karly, hope you and your babies are well.

Jayjay

Hi everyone,
Jayne that is absolutley fantastic!!! you have done so well on your diet, which one are you on? I am just trying to cut out the junk and eat a more health balanced diet think i have about 2 stone to lose. I'm gonna buy a pair of jeans in a size 12 and am determined to get in them for summer!
Laura tyla is very advanced walking already, you must be so proud. and isn't she a good eater.
I was thinking the other day about going to a toddler group but think that megan is a bit young, with all the older ones running around so think i'm gonna invite a few mums from clinic and 'bouncing babies' to my house for a coffee morning. it would be good fun for the babies and nice to have some adult chat!
Any way i'm at work so better go and do some!
Hi to karly

Ollie was due on the 17th, was 4 days late.

Yes apparently 21st june was the longest day of the year.. passed in a bit of a haze for me though.. the joys of gas and air and pethadine ey.

Must be why our babies are so alike that they were born on the same day..

hi everyone,
what a horrible rainy day!!!
I was wondering how many teeth all your babies have, megan has 2 at the bottom and has had them for about 3 months now hope she gets some more soon then she can chew 'proper food'. from all your posts i see that they all have either 1 or 2. I found that ashton and parsons powder to be fantastic and have a ready supply in the cupboard just in case!
Thinking of using the forward facing car seat soon because she just looks to big for the other one now i'm sure she'll be heavy for it, having her weighed on friday. Since i posted that she doesn't babble or say anywords she is now saying ba ba and has learnt to wave bye bye.
My other daughter is called abbie and she is convinced that megan can say that!!
Having my hair cut and coloured on friday (can't wait) its been ages since i had it done, gonna have more blonde in for summer!!
I can't believe we are in march on thursday only 3 1/2 months till our babies are one!! gosh where has that year gone??
what plans has anyone got for birthday partys?
take care mandy x

hi mandi

told you she'd start talking soon!

Ollie has 1 tooth, and yes i swear by ashton and parsons powders too they're amazing! and medised before bed.

we're getting ollie a forward facing carseat in about a months time, when he'l be 9 months and hopefully 20lb (which most of them are from) I think we're getting a maxicosi one, weve seen 2 that we like that last until he's 4 so although they're a bit pricey, they're well worth the money.

i just had my hair done last week. i've been blonde for years but went brown for winter to give it a rest but now i'm bored of it so going back blonde again. makes me feel so much sunnier!

i know i cant believe how soon it is until we'll have birthdays rolling round. Jake's first and it wont be long now.

I'd love to have a lovely garden party/BBQ for ollies if the weathers nice.

what's everyone else doing?

love
Karly x

hi karly
thats just what i want a bbq and party for megans first birthday we're lucky that they were born in a nice sunny month!
Thats just what i feel like about my hair, the darker it is the more drab i feel. think i might have a few sun bed sessions before summer aswell.
Picked megan up from mil today and do you know how much sleep she'd had?? A whole 20 bloody minutes!!!! thats all day. can you believe it, so consequently she was absolutly knackered and was in bed for 5.30pm with no bath! I was fuming. i'm not at work tomorrow so she'll prob have mammoth sleep in the morning aswell to catch up1 aaaaagggggghhhhh!!!

Can anyone help me with a problem, i have been all over looking for some 'cosy toes' you know what they sit in for the pram. I have a cosy bag but i want one for the buggy that has legs in.(if you know what i mean) i had one for my other daughters so i know they make them, but i've been to the local baby shops and no-one has them, i haven't tried mother care yet though. i might have to look on e-bay.

i was reading your posts (karly and jackie) and noticed how your babies were both born on the longest day, i was just praying that megan wasn't born on the 6th. (6.6.06) ! She was born the day before ollie and Josh so her birth day is 20/06/2006. (twenty 06 twenty 06) well thats definately enough waffling!!!
Speak soon, mandy xxx

Hi all

That was always my fear that joshua would come on 06.06.06 i remember reading in one of the newspapers that some mums were being induced so they have there babies on that day. its a crazy world!!!! We are lucky having june babies so we can hold there birthday parties outside(weather permitting) think we will have a bbq.

We have just put Joshy in a forward facing car seat as his head was over the top of his old one he quite a long baby as hubby is 6ft 4 so think he will take after him.He really loves going the right way spends all his time lookin over the hedge!

I don't start back at work until 2nd April not really lookin forward it but i think it will do me good. Joshy is goin to nursery in the mornings then my mum or mil is picking him up so i'm sure that i will have the same problems as you (karly and mandy) I'm only doing mondays and thursdays so hopefully it won't be to bad. Its just the commute as its over 20 miles away.

Anyway enough about me hope you and your little ones are ok?

jackie x x
