Have you tried getting her up at night? We do that with my 7year old as he somewtimes has an accident if we don't.

Also less drinks before bedtime can sometimes help.

Um can't think of anything else at the mo. x

My son is 7 and we get him up when we go to bed. My daghter is 4 and she only sometimes wets the bed so we dont get her up. My youungst is 22 months today so in nappies lol. Yeah the get up to take to the loo usually works, dont wake her too much, just take her, put her on the loo, wee, wash hands and back to bed, she will be half asleep, but should hopefully be dry when she gets up in the morning. xx

Hi,

My little boy is only 11 months so still in nappies but I am a reformed bed wetter and can still remember all the tricks my mum used with me!

She used to get me up when she went to bed, also no drinks after 6pm. The main thing with me though was that I had a lot of urine infections and my mum could always tell when it was starting because of the smell. Have you had your dd at the doctor?

I remember having the buzzer thing which scared the life out of me! It gave me nightmares and didnt even work! I had to take antibiotics long term then had a small op when I was about 11 to check out my tubes incase there was a kink in them or something.

Hope you get to the bottom of it soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi

My DS is nearly 5 and still not dry at night and neither is his cousin who is 7 and a friend of mine's daughter who is 10. Its not a hard and fast rule when they should be dry and DP and I have tried getting him up and all that but he is just so tired in the morning after disturbed sleep that we went back to PJ pants. I feel that as he still wees in the night in his pull up and doesn't even know/wake if he has no pull up and wets the bed that hes not ready to be fully dry at night yet. He was late to be toilet trained too - was fine with number 2's but wee - he took ages to grasp it so I guess thats just his way. I wouldn't be concerned that shes not dry but I would, as others have mentioned, want my doc to check out the smelly issue. Could be a UTi as someone has suggested or another underlying problem.

Its not your fault its normal to not be dry at 5 - cut yourself some slack hun! But do check out the smell.

Good luck xx

Hi Carly

My little girl has just turnes 6 and sometimes she still has the odd accident, I have noticed her wee smells strong when this happens and like the others have said it may be a water infection. I try and give her ocean spray cranberry and raspberry juice (it's not too sharp) to drink in the evevning as I find it helpful but also wondered if she is maybe having enough to drink whilst at school? my dd school is quite good and lets her drink water from a sports bottle during the day and since this it has improved.
Good luck Big Grin

Hey Ladies

Thank you all so much for ur words of encouragement. Im still tryin with her. I dont have her in pj pants i just have a plastic sheet under her covers. Shes very good she changes her bed herself most days (with a little help)
Im hopin not to have to go as far as the buzzer as shes desperate enough as it is gettin up in the mornings without breakin her sleep durin the nite.
I guess perserverance is the key.
Apparently its geneological and I no her bio dad had the same issue and hes fine now so i hope she grows out of it.

THANKS AGAIN XXX Smiler
