Hi parents,

Just wondering when is about the right time to introduce a cup rather than a bottle? My lo has been exclusively b/fed for 6 months and I'm just introducing food now. She has been having expressed milk in the evening but she virtually holds the bottle herself (just needs help tipping it soometimes!) so I thought she might be ok with a cup.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks
Pele. [8D]

Hi Pele,
You can start to introduce a cup anytime now, start by giving it empty so she can get used to holding it, then put a tiny amount of breast milk in, then she will soon learn how to use it with your guidance. She may dismiss it quite a few times before she gets used to it, put keep at it and it will happen.
Regards
Jules
