Hi All

Firstly i was so sorry to read your news emma - my thoughts are with you and hope that you are getting the support you need.

Also Tigger - i know you said you were having a n off day but dont forget you need to look after yourself - sounds like you have a lot on at the moment!

Helen - sorry to hear about Daniels' recuurent infections. When do you get stool samples back? Really hope its nothing too serious.

Laurie - pleased you have reconcilled yourself to the odd jar. I know i did not give Aidna one till about 3 weeks ago and now wonder why i was so hung up about it. If i was back at work i would be using a lot more of them so don not stress!

Emily - so the worrying starts again?! I know nothing i will say will make you worry less - i'm sure i would be exactly the same. I'm sure Tom wil have you running ragged soon and there will be no time to worry.

Aidan is ok but has a cough and cold and not himself.
Is anyone else still breastfeeding and when do you plan to stop?
I dropped the day breastfeeding about 3 weeks ago and Aidna has a bottle morning and afternoon but breast when he wakes and then before bed. I dont know when to stop the last two feeds - part of me is lazy and its easier to do first thing and last thing and gets him ready for sleep. But i dont want him to be reaklly aware of it when i stop as i dont want it to be an issue... Any suggestions

Also I am going on hols in June - does anyone know what you are allowed to take on a plane bottle wise? I am using HIPP organic milk which does not seem to come in cartons so am not sure what to do.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

hi all thanks for all your kind words.

anna im still breastfeeding but like you only morning and evening, im also scared to stop but that is because i dont want to start putting my weight back onFrowner. as for stopping i was told that you could try giving a bottle just before you feed then your milk supply will reduce as he will not be demanding as much and slowly drop off one feed at a time probably morning first. as for planes you are allowed to take baby milk aslong as you only carry enough for the flight.

Well Daniel was diagnosed with rota virus and we have had 10 days of sickness and the runs. He was admitted into hospital last week because he was dehydrating, and has to go back in 4 weeks as the consultant seems to think there may be an underlying problem. I have to now keep a food diary and a note of everytime he is sick....so although the virus seems to have cleared up he is still projectile vomiting. I am drained from all the extra cleaning/washing and you never know when it is going to happen. Tonight he was sick all over our new stair carpet and the walls and in my trainers!! I cannot believe how often he has been poorly, but he is still smiling. Oh and he now only weighs 16lb....so we are getting loads of wear out of his clothes.
Sorry its all about me!!

Anna, you can take the milk on a plane but its needs to be made up because I think they make you drink some. Probably depends on the airport! Where are you going?

Emma how are you keeping?

Emily how are you feeling?

Laurie, how are you coping with work?

Tigger are you feeling better now.

Must go loads of washing/ironing to do.

Love Helen

My goodness me.....
What a lot has gone on since I was here last!!
Sorry for not being here for a while!!

Emma.... I am sooooo sorry to hear your news. You must feel so sad!! Even though the pregnancy was not planned for you... after 14 weeks, you head must really of come around to the idea! How are you coping???

Helen.... Poor Daniel. He is really going through it at the mo hey! It sounds like a nightmare for you Frowner If you want to post me some washing... I can do it for you Smiler I really hope the dr gets to the bottom of this... something needs to be done hey!!! 16lb. He is very dainty! Tom is a massive 26lbs..... we have the opposite problem! Poor thing!!

Tigger.... so pleased you are feeling a little brighter, and Craig and yourself have had a chat. Sometimes we can improve these men if we keep on at them, so keep going.

Anna.... with regards to BF. well done for still going! You should feel very proud! Could you not take the powder in one of the powder dispensers (you can get them for a few pounds in boots, mothercare etc) Take the bottle on the plane with the water in already made up. Then you can mix the bottle just before you need it. I am sur e that should be fine!

Laurie.... how is work going? Any news with you? Really hope your well?

I hope Little is getting on ok??

Well... I am ok. Still being sick. feeling totally and utterly exhausted. But apart from that I am well. Tom is changing a little and developing his own personality. A little bit like his Mummy's... determined and if he doesnt get his own way..... screams!! And boy can he scream!! Just like a girl!! Smiler It is rather irritating, but at the same time, quite cute!

Well need to go to get some sleep. I am exhausted!!!

Will be in touch soon
Take care
Love Emily x x x

Hey guys!

God Em, I don't know how you're managing with Tom and morning sickness! I couldn't for sure! Helen, hope they find out what's up with Daniel soon. Anna, you can take made up milk on a plane, as long as you taste it at security checks. I had to do that for Tenerife last year.

Well, I've started my driving lessons, which is very scary! Not sure whether I'll be any good, or how quickly I will pass, but I've forgotten the controls already. Joy joy!! We have had a day off work/nursery today, it was really nice! We had to wait for DHL to collect a package from our house, as we sold Erin's clothes from newborn to 6 months on ebay. They went for £100! Had to ship it to Germany.

Well, better go, as Erin needs a bath, as she has been eating egg mayonnaise sandwiches and is plastered in it!!! Plus need to tidy house, finish the garden and do the ironing while I have a chance!

Hi

Hope all mummies & babies are well. Just wanted to find out whether anyone has thought about the MMR jabs just yet? I'm seriously thinking of having the single jabs for Daniel.

Looking forward to your replies Wink

Hi Meg nice to hear from you.

Just a quick me post. Daniel is continuing to be sick, has conjunctivitus and croup! I am taking bets on what he will have next week!!!! However the hospital have brought his appointment forward and he will see the consultant on Tuesay. Fingers crossed we will get to the bottom of this, and I hope he now weighs more than 16lb.
On another sad note we had to have the dog put to sleep on Saturday. I have never been so upset and am missing him terribly, he has been with me for 14 out of his 18 years and the house is empty, Emily is sooo upset. Goodness me I can't believe what a horrible few weeks I have had, it can only get better!

Hope you are all keeping well

Helenxx

Helen, I'm sorry that you've had it so tough. How traumatic that you had to put your dog to sleep aftert he's been with you for so long -I'm not surprised that you are so upset.
As fro Daniel I really hope that eh recovers from his bout of illness and he's not allowed to catch any more germs until after his first birthday - you deserve a break. My Daniel is also dinky. My mum is getting him weighed in the hopenthat he's over 9kg so that I can replace his car seat. He seems to be stuck around 17-18lbs mark Frowner

Hi to everyone else x

Awwww Helen
Such sad news about your dog. It is heartbreaking when you loose a memeber of your family. They are such a huge part of your life. Thinking of you x x x
I am pleased that they have managed to bring Daniels appointment forward for you. Make sure they get on the case and dont let them fob you off!

I think I am going to ask Tommy if he will dontate some of his chub to the 2 Daniels!!! He certianally has enough of it to share about! He is 26lbs!!!! When he wakes from his sleep, I will ask him!!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and everything is looking good! So fingers crossed things progress nicely!!! I am due 24th November (not long really) This pregnancy is going so much faster than Tom's.... life is too busy to sit and think about it too much!!

How is everyone else?
Emma... how are you coping???

Will be in touch soon
Take care
Love Em x x x
