Hi All cant believe you are all talking about weaning already! Aidan is still breastfeeding and sleeping through so am happy for now. I wasnt planning on weaning till 5 months. I guess some babies are ready sooner. I must say feeding is really easy at the moment - just plug him in - i dont welcome the idea of having to cook for baby as well as daddy! Cant see Pete being happy with a few pureed carrots. Let me know how you go with those books Laurie - i havent looked into it yet but it sounds like there are a few to choose from. Tigger, pleased you enjoyed holiday - cant believ your weight loss ticker is firmly on the left whereas my scales and as far right as you can get! I have lost half a stone in 3 weeks but am finding it hard. Everyone sounds like they are doing ok. I have MIL staying and have come up here for some peace as she doesnt understand silence! Still she is going tomorrow and not back till xmas. I wish we were just on our own as a new little family but no such luck. I just have to accept that things like xmas and his birthday will never just be us. Still i should be thinking he is lucy to have grandparents that care. Anyhow think i will go in bath now ! Anna x

Anna, The reason that i'm buying all of the weaning books, ice cube trays etc is because i might need to wean Daniel early due to his reflux.I'm keeping my fingers crossed that i can carry on bf him till he's 6 months. Helen, I've just ordered the Annabel Karmel Superfood, the baby & toddler planner and the baby whisperer answers all your problems. All of the books were reduced from Amazon. I went in to WH Smith to look at AK books and there were so any to choose from! I'm looking forward to reading them, esp the baby whisperer as i need to wean Daniel from his dummy at night. Where's everyone else then? Actually i can understand that ppl are busy with their cute babies

Happy reading Laurie!! Good luck with the weight loss, I have been really lucky and lost the weight really quickly just need to do some exercise to tone the flabby bits. I am doing lots of walking and go to aerobics once a week but I am finding it quite hard to find the time to fit any more in! But it took 9 months for our boies to get like that, so I am allowing 9 months to get back to normal! I am going back to work on 1st April, what about you? I am going back to the hours I did before just Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Anna, like Laurie's Daniel, my Daniel has reflux, so the GP has recommended earlier weaning, which should help them keep more milk down. So I am looking to start at 4 months just with the rice but part of me wants to wait longer because once he is on food he is no longer my little baby! Welcome back Emma! Emily how is the sleeping going? DO you think we should put a recent picture of the babies on it would be nice to see how they have changed????

Hello Helen, I lost about 10kg following the birth but still got loads to go. The 10kg was lost within 2 weeks of the birth. Like you, i'm hoping to keep Daniel on the breast for a little longer. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can do that. Good oidea about the photos. I will try and load up a recent pictures of Daniel. Hi to everyoen else & i hope that you are all well. L x

Hello Everyone! Firstly!! My little baby is three months old today... so Happy Birthday Tommy I too am on the weight loss campaign! I started Weight Watchers last week and at my first weigh in I lost 5lb! So I am rather pleased at that! I am not going to do a ticker as for me it feels like I have got such a long way to go! Instead I will continue to just plod along! Oh why did I eat all the rubbish during pregnancy!! Helen you are right. It took 9 months to get into the way we look now, so lets give ourselves 9 months to get back! Scary to think we are a third of the way there! Pregnancy didnt go this quickly!! The nights for us are still not simple and Tom definitely is not sleeping through!! But bless him, he is so adorable I cant get annoyed! I too have been thinking about weaning and when to do it? I would like to keep going with BF for a long as possible. However he is so big (17lb) he is very hungry! So I will see how it goes! Well must dash. Need to go and express some milk! Off out for the whole day without him on Saturday so need to build up store in the freezer!! Take care Love Emily x x

I've added some of Daniel's photos. Emily, Daniel is 17 weeks tomorrow and he's still waking up twice during the night wanting to feed. I think some babies don't sleep through until they are a little bit older. The baby of one of the ladies in my NCT group has been sleeping through since he was 8 weeks old. Wish i was that lucky! Also, I can see why you may want to wean Tom early, his weight is fantastic! Well done you! Daniel is only 13lbs and he's about 5 weeks older. I just don't know how to fatten him up!

Oh I forgot to say.... At a group I go to we had a dental hygieneist come to speak to us..... A low sugar rusk, has as much sugar in as a jam donut! Do be aware. They advised us to use bread sticks and toast.

Laurie Daniel sounds like he is a good weight! Babies are so different regarding their weight gain! At least you are getting some good wear out of his clothes! We are beginning to grow out of some of the 3 -6 months clothes! Gosh its an expensive business! Regarding the dieting - I started about 10 days ago and since then my milk supply has gone down considerably! I only really worked it out this morning what it might be!!! Doh!!! So I am going to have to review what I am doing about my weight loss! I am not going to sacrifice ANYTHING regarding Tom's BF. Anyway I am going to tackle Weight Watchers in a more healthy manner. Take care and chat soon Love Em x x

Tigger, Good luck with the christening & having all these people over. You are very brave. Also, mega well done on your weight loss. Do you mind me asking you how you did it? Emily, I left you a message on your thread. Also, maybe it's a good idea to give up the dieting to see whether it is WW that is affecting your supply?

Laurie Thank you for your posts! I have taken your advice and have decided to give up on the dieting for a bit to see if it changes anything!! I had a bit more to eat last night - and mentally felt much better! I think there is too much stress put onto looking good! At the end of the day we only had our babies three months ago and if we are breast feeding we need to put our efforts into that! I will contine to go to the meetings in order to keep my eating habits sensible - but I need to eat what I need to in order to keep Tommy full and happy!!! Thank you Laurie! I needed someone to suggest that to me!! x x x x Take care and chat soon
