Helen, I am going to carry on offering the EBM to Daniel. Don't want to go down the formula as there will no turning back from that. Em, great that Tommy's got his sleep sorted. Daniel is still waking me up 2-3 times during the night. Hope that everyone else is OK.

Oh Laurie Tom is also waking up 2 -3 times a night! But I can cope with that! Its when he wont go in his crib - thats when I cant cope! Well the jabs went as well as could be expected! Screams and crys, then slept a lot this afternoon. We have just had a bath, and now its play time! He appears a little less grizzly! Poor darling!! Laurie - I saw some leg warmers in a catalogue today! They are like tights, but designed to make nappy changing easier! I will try and find you a link! Also in the catalogue they had normal white tights! Its very quiet on here at the moment! Where is everyone?? Hope your ok?? Love Emily x x x

Hi I've just got back from weekly baby clinic and I'm a bit worried about the amount of weight Abigail is putting on. She put on 17oz this week and now weighs 14lb 12oz. The health visitor said not to worry and that it's very difficult to overfeed a breastfed baby. I can't help worrying though as she is already wearing 3-6 month clothes. The health visitor also said she was not worried about Abigail sleeping in my bed. She said to try controlled crying again but I hated it last time and I've heard it doesn't work under 6 months. I quite like her being in bed with me as we all get our 8 hours but I know she will have to get used to her cot soon. Hope everyone else is ok. Cas

Hi Cas I wouldnt worry too much about the weight gain! Tom was 14lb 10oz at 9 weeks (I havent had him weighed since) and he has been in 3-6month old clothes for a couple of weeks now. I think we need to worry if they are 'podgy' later on...... I think it is healthy and we should be so pleased that our milk is doing the right thing! It makes me so pleased to think that I am feeding our little man, and he is thriving so well on it! You do the same! I am also pleased to hear that the HV was not worried about Abigail sleeping in your bed! Tom has been doing it quite a bit too. Not for the whole night - just part of it. However we still are not getting 8 hours! More like 2 or at a push 3!!!!!! God its knackering! Keep smiling and enjoy your happy and healthy Abigail

Hi everyone Well I think that Daniel may be teething already, he has all the signs, one scarlet cheek, dribbling, and gnawing on anything going...gave him one of the teething rings you put in the fridge and he put it straight in his moutha nd he kept quiet for ages. I thought teething started a lot later than this?!?!? Cas, don't worry about her Abigails weight, she is just healthy and enjoying her milk! And anyway what is normal? I heard that the controlled crying doesn't work on a very young baby. However that nasty woman on that baby programme on a Tuesday just abandons them and lets them cry for ages. Emily, whooppeee, glad you have made some progress. Daniel prefers his cot to his moses basket, is the freedom to move about and my what a wriggler he is. How are you coping with DH working/commuting the longer hours? Bet you feel like a single mum. WHen my dh worked away during the week (home most weekends) it was horrible, sometimes you just need an hour to yourself in the evening. At least you have your mum and dad nearby. Laurie, good on you staying with the ebm. How is Daniels reflux now? Hi to everyone elsexx

Hello Everyone Sorry to have neglected the forum. Basically we did not have internet for 2 weeks and then in that time Aidan started sleeping through and so we are all doing really well. I just seem to be out so much in the day and have met so many mums and babies that I have got out of the habit of logging on! I have not been able to read all the posts yet but i am hoping that things are going well for everyone. I am really enjoying Aidan at the moment - he is such a cuite. Breast feeding is going well and he is steadily gaining weight. Anyhow - i am now going to try and catch up on posts and see how you are all doing Anna x

Hi girls, sorry i havent posted all week the computer monitor packed up, have had to buy a new one was well cheesed off as we've only had it 18 months, oh well Hope everyone is ok Emily - glad the sleeping seems to be getting better Helen - i think sam is starting to teeth too, he is dribbling loads and gnawing on his fingers, my fingers, or anything else !!I too thought it would be a lot later than this it seems too early. Cas - dont worry about the weight gain abigail is prob just having a bit of a growth spurt, sam is just over 10 weeks old and he is 14lb 8oz. hi ana, nice to hear from you it sounds like you are doing great. Samuel and i are doing ok although i think sam may have a little bit of a cold as he is a bit snuffly . Have found a vapour stick in morrisons that you rub on his chest so i think that has helped. I have also had to move his bath and bed routine an hour earlier as he has been falling asleep at 6.30 most nights and i have been having to wake him for his bath, so he is in bed for 7.00pm ish now. I think he is more tired at night time now because he is awake more during the day. gtg, eastenders is on in a bit, chat to you soon

Hi Again Just caught up on a few posts. Sorry to hear your having a tough time breast feeding Laurie. Your dedication to expressing is amazing. I have two pumps for expressing - both Avent. i bought an electrical one as well as manual as i thought it would help produce more quicker but it doesnt. I only seem to produce 3 oz or something in 15 mins so i have accepted this is me. I was going to stick my Avent manual on ebay ( as the electric one can be a manual one too so i dont need both) but if you want to buy it from me then let me know. The pump comes with with 2 bottles and some teats, lids etc - though they are for newborns so you would need to buy the next size. Anyway let me know and i hope you are ok. Emily - bedtime sounds like a night mare and i hope Tom is liking his new cot now. Aidan is still in Moses basket but not for long. I hope he takes to his new bed as well as the basket. I must confess i dont have a set routine - i just let him sleep when he is tired - anytime between 8-9.30 pm but when he goes off we get 8 hours so i am finding that is ok for now. I would gradually like to bring bed forward and then perhaps i can give him another feed when we come to bed to last the night but to be honest i am just grateful for any 8 hours straight at the moment!!! i think everyone else seemed to be getting on reasonably ok - i hope Tigger is enjoying holidyas ( and not cleaning!!!). Hi to Emma and Helen (the super mummies and Maria and everyone else Anna xxx

Anna - so pleased your back Helen - you are right about work! How will we ever go back?? I am DREADING it! A horrible commute for me Oh well - I will only do it for 12 weeks - the min I have to do in order to keep my mat pay!!! I dont know how I will leave Tommy Well all is well here! We are plodding along! Tom still does not sleep for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time I have to say its pretty hard going! I have not had more than 4 hours constant sleep since he has been born! Its flippin hard going! I have been getting lots of headaches and feeling generally tired! By 8pm I am soooo grumpy! Any ideas as to how we can get him to sleep for longer???? Formula doesnt work! It makes no difference!!!! When he wakes up he is genuinely hungry as he will feed for about 10 minutes!!! Well take care everyone! I look forward to your replys Love Emily PS Where is Little and Maira! Havent heard from them in ages! I hope Tigger enjoyed her holidays? She must be back by now???

Hi girls, just a quick post (eastenders on in 5 mins!!) to check everyone is ok, it has been quiet the last couple of days. Emily - i dont know what to suggest re the sleeping. Does tom sleep in a cot ?. Also just a thought but if he is still in your room it may be that you are disturbing him. A couple of my friends found this with their newborns and they put them in their own rooms at about 6 weeks old and they slept much better, i dont know if i would put sam in his room just yet to be honest as it is recommended not before 6 months but if it helps with the sleeping anything is worth a try hey ? Girls - i know what you mean about returning to work im dreawding it too !! Hope everyone else is ok
