Hi everyone.. Tigger hope you have sorted it out with Craig, think everything seems so much worse when you are both tired. Like Emily said we probably are all going through the same. Well we went for a lovely walk today...that was until I got stung 7 times by bees. There was a bee hive just beside the path we were walking on. DH did laugh afterwards as he said it was funny watching me run around trying to shake the bees out of my hair, they even went under my clothes. I do not have the same sense of humour as him, it blimmin hurt, and I confess I cried! WHY ME??? Off for yet another early night Catch you all soon Helen x

hiya people, were all doin fine, not got much time to myself anymore!katys doin fine, putting on weight now shes on bottle. last time she got weighed last thursday last week she was back up to her birth weight of 7lb 1 1/2oz and its weigh in day today so lets hope shes put on even more, though i think so coz her cheeks are getting podgyier. she has a feed about 12 midnight then one at 3. then she wakes up about 7-8am for another feed. shes stilkl as good as gold bless her. she only ever squauks when shes doing a poo, or when shes got wind trapped, and when she needs feeding she slaps her lips and starts sucking on her hand.roughly about every 3-4 hours i give her a 3-4 ounce bottle.she guzzles the whole lot, then goes to sleep. we have to wind her while shes asleep. some times we dont even have to rub her back, we just sit her up and she burps or farts! its funny. she does faces aswell which is funny, coz we take the piss when she does them. sorted out the nursery again yesterday as it was just getting cluttered with presents that we had given us, and you couldnt even get in her cot, it was piled high. all sorted now so hopefully she might be able to go in it soon, probably in her moses basket in the cot at first though. hope everyones ok. posted some more piccys on msn xx

hi all helen sorry to hear about the bee stings i would not of shared his sense of humour either. tigger it dose make you mad when they plan to go out without even considering how you feel about it but to try and find a bright side it is a 1pm kick off so he should be back earlyer. how is erin is she better with her feeding now or do you still have to top her up. little you sound like you are coping really well how much dose she weigh now. well have been to baby club again today and got jake weighed again and he has gone from 10lb 2oz to 11lb in a week so has put on 14oz but since sunday he has been feeding more regular in the day instead of giong 4 hours he has been going 1 -2 hours between 7:30am and 9:30pm but still sleeping at night wakes up once at 3:30ish but thank god this stopped this morning we went back to 4 hourly hv just said it was his 4-6 week growth spurt.

Well, we had our Little Tommy Tummy weighed yesterday..... He was born at 7.2 and in 4 weeks he has chucked on the weight and now weighs a whopping 10lb 3oz!! I cannot believe how quickly he is growing!!! Well all is well at this end! I have done every night since he was born so tonight DH is going to hopefully give him expressed milk via a bottle! Fingers crossed I might get more than 2 hours sleep All the bottles we have tried so far have made his collic 10 times worse. We have used Colief a couple of times and it appears to make things much better, so hopefully it works, other wise we are in for a bad night!!! You cant win can you!! Tom has been feeding short snacks every hour for a while, so we have introduced a dummy because I think he was using me as a comforter. It seems to be doing the trick, and yesterday he went for an amazing 3.5hours before needing feeding again!! Brilliant I hope everyone else is doing ok? I am not dieting (if you say your dieting you get told off, I am mearly sensibly eating.!) but I have now lost three stone since he was born! Only another 4 to go Why oh why oh why did I feed myself like a dustbin when I was pregnant ???? If I could turn back the clocks this is something I would def do differently!!! Going to go and change a dirty nappy, and then maybe try and have a snooze when Tom is. I have only had 2 sleeps during the day since he was born and I think I REALLY need one today! I am getting so tired! I really hope that everyone else is ok?? Take care Love Emily x x x

Hi everyone, hope everyone is ok. Me and samuel are doing great he now weighs 10lb !! He is still a little superstar and is still a contented baby, i feel much better now too im not so tired, as lovely as it was to have visitors im glad its eased off now (i sound terrible dont i but it was just so tiring esp when you have them calling round at 9.30 at night !) Emily - wow ! you have done well with your weight loss. I feel like i have lost a bit but i havent dared step on the scales since sam was born i was about 5 stone overweight before i was pregnant although i am back in my pre preggy clothes so i dont think ive put on that much ! (wishful thinking hehehe) Does anyone know how soon you can start exercising i really want to join the gym am determined to lose this weight for samuel i dont want him having a chubby mummy Tigger - hope things are ok with you and other half. My hubby's the same they just dont think sometimes ggrrrr hehehehe (this is why women have babies and not men !! Helen - OMG cant beleive the bee stings poor you ! hope your ok now. I have started a bath and bed routine with samuel. He has a feed at 5pm ish a bath between 6 and 6.30 and then i settle him in his moses basket. Do you girls put babes to bed upstairs just wondered as we keep samuel in his moses basket in the lounge with us until we go to bed. im wondering if he will settle better upstairs ? Hi to everyone else

hi all hope ur ok, just a quick one from me as assignment writing. all is ok with me and craig, we had a break from erin last night which helped! as far as putting to bed goes meg, erin has been going upstairs at a set time since she was born, she seems to know it is bedtime. it is easier, as she goes down to sleep bout 9.30-10pm, and the fact that her room is dark helps her settle down. makes her less likely to wake up. but she can't sleep downstairs now anyway, she outgrew her moses basket in 2.5 weeks! off to write my assignment now, wish me luck!

Hello, well the days seem so full at the moment, never a moment to spare! Daniel has just had his 6 week check and now weighs 9lb 7oz. And even better I only got up once in the night. With the fab weather we have been to the beach and theme parks etc...he is probably as exhausted as me! Meg, I put Daniel upstairs once he has had his bath, it gives us some time with Emily on her own and gets him used to being settled upstairs. Hope everyone else is ok, it has gone very quiet on here.

Hi, Meg, Daniel's routine is that we have a bath ost evening between 5-6pm, feed and cuddle and then it's bedtime. I aim for him to be asleep by 7pm in his cotbed. My days are also taken up by Daniel and his needs. I hardly have a moment to myself. The HV is concerned and thinks that i've got postnatal depression. It's not due to my DS but rather because of money worries and my DH. I'm off to the GP next week. Wish me luck please. hope that everyone else is ok.

Hi girls thanks for the tips re bedtime routine. I am going to start putting samuel upstairs to sleep after his bath and bottle hopefully he will settle better as he doesnt settle in his moses basket in the living room but as soon as we carry him upstairs when we all go to bed he goes out like a light. Laurie - good luck at the docs let us know how you get on, take care x I know what you mean about being busy the days are flying but it is great esp enjoy having a stroll with the pram ive never done so much walking hehehe Tigger - lol the moses basket didnt last erin long did it, i dont think samuel has got long left in his either its such a shame cuz they look so cute in them he looks absolutley lost in his cot ! although he will soon fill that out too, HV weighed him today and he is 10lb 9 1/2oz !! Hope everyone is ok, it os quite quiet on here its our munchy little babies keeping us busy !

Hello everyone Laurie Poor you. I am so sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it at the mo. Its not surprising however seeing as what you have been through!! You have had a particularly hard time of it from what you have written on here!! I have suffered with depression in the past and know how hard it is! Just make sure the Dr doesnt just put you on tablets! I was on tablets for 4 years and they worked wonders! The thing that really helped me as well was talking therapy. Cognitive behavioural therapy. OFten there are long waiting lists, but if you can get yourself on one! I hope that everyone else is well today! All our babies seem to be growing rapidly!! I have to confess I really didnt realise that a baby could grow soooo quickly! I thought Tommy would be in Newborn clothes for at least 6 weeks!!! hee hee! Tom is just about beginning to start smiling, although sometimes I think it is me wanting him to smile so much that I see things!!! It wont be long! Ohhhh its wonderful being a Mummy x x well best go and pay my little boy some attention! He has been asleep all day, and has now decided to wake up! Routine my foot - we haven't really got one here yet! I will keep trying!!! Take care everyone - particularly you Laurie x x x Love a very tired Mummy x x

Hi All Well all these routines are having me worried! Aidan is not in any sort of routine but has at last started to sleep at night time as opposed to just in the day. His collic is being helped by Infacol - it seems to have worked for us. So at this time of night everyone seems to have their babies in bed where as ours is asleep on DH's knee as he listens to the football! We tend to put AJ down when we are going to bed - and time it for after a feed. He goes 3 hours at a time in the night and Friday he even went 6 hours which felt wonderful but has not been repeated yet. I am happy with things at the moment - hopefully we will get in a routine but we are still getting to know him and finding out what he likes and doesnt like. I am really starting to enjoy him now as opposed to just coping! Laurie sweetheart i do feel for you. it is so important to feel supported and secure. I hope you can sort out the money thing and that the GP is sympathetic to your needs. Likle Emily says counselling may help! AJ got weighed today and is now 9lb 1 oz which is great news. I cant believe the 6 week check is next week. Like you Emily i am suprised that the newborn clothes are getting tight! Anyway - hi to everyone. Sorry i have not been on much but its hard to log on as our computer is in the attic and when Aidan is asleep he is downstairs and often i cant be faffed to rig up all the moniotors just to email. Sometimes everything is just too much effort!!! anyway hope to read some more posts soon Anna
