Hi guys, looking for some advise from you all!!

Im thinking of getting Ruby a Bumbo but there £25 (on sale) in Mothercare, bit expensive but heard good things about them, but then I've heard bad things aswell!!!

If you have/had a Bumbo did your LO's use it alot?

I really want to get her one, she sat in one in the shop and was smiling and seemed to love it, but on the other hand I think its abit expensive, and could use the money on a diff toy?! Hmmmmmmmmm Confused

Any help or advise would be great, thanks Smiler

Hi!

My daughter had a bumbo and we thought it was fab! she absoultly loved it!

It's so nice for them to be able to sit up and look around, quite handy for feeding, when you're weaning and so easy to take any where with you.

I think i'm right in saying that some of the 'bad' that has been written about it is that there have been a few accidents with them.
Well i find this a bit strange, but i think some people would sit the bumbo, with the baby in it, on top of a table etc... not a good idea!

Anyway the only thing i thought, as you do, is the price! very expensive for what it is, but well worth it.

Have you considered looking on ebay?

I sold mine on there in brand new condition for £15.00 and wish i had thought of buying from there too!!

Hope that helps, bubbly x

They are fab, but def look for second hand as they are overpriced as LOs do grow out of them quickly.
Have just mine down from the loft from last time!

Defo get one second hand. Ella seemed to only be in hers for a matter of weeks. But I'd definitely get one again if I had another baby. (I already sold mine or else would have sold it to you)!

bumbos are good we had one bought as a present but Josh would not go in it !!

I def would get a second hand one as they are abit expensive for what they are. I sold mine on ebay and got £16.00 so think you would be looking around that price.

Probably I'm replying too late & you've already bought one?

We only used our bumbo for about 2-3 weeks. Daniel hated being in it. It may be a good idea to see whether you can borrow one prior to buying just to see whether Ruby likes it.

Good luck!

Hiya

I thought the bumbo was the best thing I ever bought! It was a god send & Ben loved sitting in it to have his feeds and to watch a cartoon while I cleaned up! It was a nightmare trying to feed him in his bouncer before he could sit properly because he'd start bouncing & end up with food in his hair & everything haha & he was too small for a highchair at that point so the bumbo seat was brilliant for feeding. I used to take it everywhere aswell when I was visiting family & friends & I've seen a few mums take them to the mum & baby group so they can sit & join in, because its small & light its so easy to take anywhere & very easy to clean.

Ben never had any accidents in it, I always kept it on the floor on a flat surface and put his dinosaur v shaped cushion round it. I think like others mentioned accidents happen when people put them up on tables & worktops. I personally thought it was pricey before I bought it but well worth it once I had it!

Michelle x
