Sab
That's great about Eloise's foot. Are the boots that she has to wear the same as Jayden's?
When does she get them and how many hours does she have to wear them for?
It's great that she doesn't have to have surgery or be plastered.

Afternoon All

Well I have just finished up making Millies cot and she will start sleeping in it tonight in her own room. We moved Chloe into her own room at around 8 weeks and she done really well and started to sleep through a few days later.
Millie wont fall asleep in her moses basket and the past few nights once we have finally got her to sleep we put her in her moses basket and within 10 minutes she wakes up. I think she is getting to big for her moses basket and keeps hitting her arms on the side which wakes her up.
So Fingers Crossed . . . . .

Jo - Im so pleased you results have come back and given you the all clear it must be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders.
Im glad Jaydens treatment is going well.

Sab - Im glad Eloise's appt went well and I hope she doesnt have to have an op.

Well I still havent had a period yet, have had two seperate days where I have had a light bleed but nothing else.
Is anybody else still waiting, Cludgie has yours arrived yet?

Well I hope everyone else is doing well.

Take Care

No - not a thing yet - Sonny is 12 weeks old today and not ven the suggestion of anything!

Of course I am far too concerned to seek advice in the matter, so am sticking my head in the sand until it resolves itself in some manner!

Hey Ladies,

Jo, am pleased that all your tests came back ok, it must be a worry off your mind.

Sab, great news that Eloise wont need surgery or casting for her foot, isn't it mad that her position in the womb has caused it?

Emma, good luck with Millie going in her cot tonight, Jake was alot more settled, i think because i wasn't fussing over him all night Big Grin

Vicki, you'll be fine when dh goes back to work, my dh does nights as well and the first few are daunting but it gets easier..i promise!

Cludgie, hope your feeling better and have gotten over the bug, i had a period 19 dec only lasted four days and was very light, haven't had anything since though Roll Eyes

Question for you all...where do you put your LO's during the day at naptime? I got shouted at off my mum yesterday for not putting Jake in his cot. The problem is that generally i go out for a walk at naptime and he falls asleep then in his pram on the odd occasion i'm at home he does sleep on my lap (tut tut, I know). Tried to put him down today in his cot and he cried more or less constantly for an hour and a half and never slept anyway Eeker The more he cried, the more i cried! I tried everything but he was not happy! Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated....

Hope everyone else is ok

Hi Hells,
I have Ethan's moses basket in the longe with me and he sleeps quite happily in there for a good couple of hours at nap time. But now DH is going back to work I've got to get him napping in his own room. The health visitor has said that I should put the moses basket inside his cot so he doesnt feel lost to start with, then as he gets a bit bigger and gets used to napping in his own room start putting him in his cot.
We only had him downstairs with us because I found it really difficult in the beginning with my stiches, going up and down the stairs with him. I dont close the curtains or anything and he sleeps just fine with the sun streaming through. Hes getting better at settling himself now aswell, but he did cry for ages in the beginning and I found it hard. I left DH in the room with him and I went for a walk. It broke my heart to listen to him crying like that.

Hope your all ok.

Hells

I am going to put Millie in her cot at night only to begin with. She has her sleep in the day in her chair or under her playmat or lying on the sofa, but always downstairs.
I think it helps for her to recognise between day and night and hopefully get into a night sleeping rountine sooner.
I did this with Chloe and she started sleeping through at around 9 weeks.
When Millie is older and only having two or three sleeps in the day then I will probably move her into her cot in the day, but as she still sleeps more than she is awake at the minute personally I find it better to have her downstairs.

You need to do what you feel comfortable with.

As for last night it was okish. Put her in her cot awake at 8.30pm and she seemed to settle ok, then she woke up at 11pm so I thought she wanted a feed but she messed around with that and I finally got her back in her cot at 12.45am.
She woke up again at 1.30am and DH got up with her, gave her a bottle which she messed about with again and then they both feel asleep on the sofa, Millie on DH's chest. Then at 5.30am she had another bottle and I got up at 5.45am had a slight go at DH for falling asleep downstairs and put Millie back in her cot awake. She had a few little wimpers then fell asleep until 9am this morning.
SO I need to train DH about not sleeping downstairs as he does have a habit of doing it.

I hope everyone else is doing ok.

Hi all,

Jo, I'm not sure what Eloise's boots are called they are white and look like little sandals her toes can be seen at the end, she got them straight away at the appointment and has to wear them during the day but not at night they didn't say how many hours though!, she has to go back for a check up in 6-8 weeks so not sure how long she will have to wear them if at all after that.

Hells, Eloise goes in her cot in her room for her morning sleep but tends to have her lunchtime/afternoon sleep either in her swinging chair or in her pram if we are out and about, like Emma said I think it helps her to learn the difference between daytime sleep and night time, although saying that she still sleeps in her crib in our room at night time don't think we will move her into her own room until she is six months is much easier with the whole Bf thing if she is in with us.

Well I am having a few issues with my DS he has been being really naughty at school lately and on Monday he threw a book at a teacher and was suspended from school for a day, he then went back on Wednesday and said sorry to the teacher and she let him back into her lesson where he proceeded to mess about pretending his ruler and pencil where a rocket launcher Mad, well that is just the tip of the iceberg with him at the moment but I won't bore you all with the details, hes not even a blinking teenager yet hes only 11 Mad

Hope everyone else is ok

Take care

Afternoon Girls

Millie is starting to get used to her new room, she slept from 12pm - 5.30am straight through so we are slowly getting there. She did originally go in her room at 8pm after her milk but the woke at 10pm then 12pm for more milk and drunk most of the bottles !!

Well I took a preg test this morning just to put my mind at rest and it came out neg. Phew!
So ~I dont know what my body is doing at the minute, will just have to wait for AF to arrive.

Better go off to the hosptial to visit my Nan.

Take Care

Hi all,

Well sorry i have been away for so long. Thanks for asking after me Sab & Hells xxx
Have had a brief skim through, glad everyone seems to be fine.

Hell's i put Ney for a nap in her chair or pram normally during the day. That way at night when i put her in the cot she knows its not nap time and its for the long haul.
I say put Jake to sleep where he sleeps best Hell's. Its not doing him any harm sleeping in his pram or on your lap is it? and he obviously likes those places better.

Sab, i know exactly where your coming from with your son. DD went through a little phase of being bullied last year and as much as i went in to the school things didnt really get sorted the girls just seemed to get bored and it trailed off. However on a recent parents evening, i was told by a teacher (the bullying teacher we call her) as she deals with the bullying. That Ky had a bit of an attitude problem recently.
Well when we pulled Ky up about it, she said "well she couldnt look after me when i was being bullied but now wants to tell me off about my attitude". Well what do you say to that eh! & coming from an almost 11 year old.
Anyway after my long speach, have you made sure that your DS dosnt have any issues at school that he cant deal with? (just a thought) hope that gets better soon though. You really need that on top of having a new baby!

Well we are all fine. Ney seems to be more in a routine and things have become a lot easier. Last night i gave her a bottle at 12.20AM and then had to wake her at 10.10AM as she still hadnt woke and i was worried she'd gone toooo long (lol). Anyway thats not the norm, (was a one off) and i got a lovely nights sleep.
Ive joined Facebook so seem to be spending way too much time on there at the mo (since im in contact with people from my old workplace)

Take care till the next time
Char & Ney

Hi all,

Char, nice to see you!, I have asked Ds whats going on at school and yes I think you are right about him being picked on but he is also his own worst enemy as he is the one that gets egged on to do things and because he wants to be liked he does them and then hes the one who gets into trouble!! I'm at a loss as to what to do with him as have tried all sorts and nothing is getting through Frowner.

Like you I spend a lot of time on facebook, Jo and I are friends on there, my name is Sabrina Coleman if you fancy adding me to your list Big Grin.

Well we seems to be settling into more of a routine with Eloise now, phew! she has her last feed between half nine and ten ish then will sleep until around four so am managing to get about six hours sleep in one go which is much more civilised!!!.

Hope everyone else is good

Take care

Hello all,

Didn't realize it had been so long since I had been on here! Things are going pretty well. Chloe's growing like crazy and would you believe her first tooth has started to poke through? I'm not too thrilled about that, obviously because of all the fussiness that goes with it, but it's awfully early and I'm still breastfeeding her. Anyway, like it or not, it's here. We just got her an activity station the other day and she's loving that. She desn't like to lay down when she's awake. She loves to see what's going on.

I had a quick look through the last few pages. Glad no one's pregnant. Smiler Can you imagine 2 under 1? I think that would be more than I could handle. I'm on facebook too. I'll look you guys up.

Hope you're all doing well!!

Jayden is doing really well in his bedroom. Seems to be more settled, doesn't move as much in there for some reason.
Dream feeds... well we have stopped them because he was only going 3-4 hours when we were dream feeding. Once we stopped them he was going 6 hours again. Now we have to try and get him back to 9 hours.

Jayden has his 3rd lot of jabs next tues, so far they haven't bothered him at all, no calpol needed and no tears either,
Mum starts her chemo this friday.
Hope you all ok.

Rach - wow, well done chloe on the first tooth! Jake is dribbling like mad and has permanently flushed cheeks so reckon his aren't far away Eeker

Jake has been a little monkey over the weekend, waking up every hour or so and then taking an age to settle back down, he had gone off his food and was only having 4/5 oz each time (he usually drains 7oz) Luckily yesterday was better and he was back to his milk and last night went from 7pm til 4am then had a bottle and back down til 7.30am - Jo I dont dream feed cos we found the same, jake was still wanting a bottle at the same time as if we hadn't fed him. Its frustrating though because we had 5 12 hr nights on the run last week Big Grin

Jake got weighed yesterday and is now 15lb 5oz, can't believe he is nealy 3 months old, why didn't the pregnancy seem to go this fast!!!

Hope everyone else is well

Bye for now
