Hey Everyone,

Char, glad Ney's lump has gone, it must've been a worry. I too would be prodding and picking! jake had a bite on the side of his head from hols and I was forever squeezing it!

Jo, fingers crossed that Jayden is okay and off the colief soon. He sounds like hes loving his foods!

Vicki, I started jake with toast probably about a month or so ago, he loves it! He has banana, cheese spread butties, cow and gate bear biscuits and cooked veg that he can hold like batons of carrots. The only thing I find id that I struggle to get him to eat jars of food with lumps in! He will only eat the heinz packet food for 7+ months. Although he did have fish fingers, wedges and beans at nursery the other day for his lunch followed by artic roll! (mushed down of course!) Eeker

Jake still has no pegs although i thought one was there today Roll Eyes he has had a lump for the past couple of days and I can definatly see a line on this gum but it isn't white???

Emma, and Char, well done on the 'diets' i need a boost of motivation.....i blame being back at work and being knackered all the time Frowner

Sab, you're brave for still b/f with Eloise's teeth!

Hope everyone else is well, speaking of AF I had the implant put in last month, so far so good!

Bye for now,

Hells & Jake xx

ARRRRGHHH!!!!!

Well things seemed to be going really well with Colief, but... Now this is odd, but the last 2 times we have started weaning off colief Jayden has come down with a cold and covered in a rash. We thought nothing of it really. But the same thing has happened again!!!!
Poor little man has a runny nose a cough and watery eyes, and a horrible rash all over upper body. So gonna have to make a doc appointment!!!

Will we ever get him of the bloody stuff?!

Hi all,

Well Eloise had her consultant appointment last week and to be honest it all felt very rushed and I didn't feel my questions were answered, but he seemed pleased with her feet for now and we have to go back in another three months.

Eloise has taken to waking up at 4.15am most mornings Mad so am not a happy bunny, I don't give her any milk until gone six and have put black out curtains up but no joy!, I suppose it could be teething as have just noticed she has a third tooth come through, she has her two middle bottom ones, I thought it would be the top middle ones next but she it is a top one to the side that has come through!!

Nicki, is Katie sleeping through yet? Eloise is really brilliant in the evening she is asleep before half seven if we could just get her to sleep til six in the morning that would be perfect! Big Grin

Char, hows Neys lump has it stayed away still?

Hels, how are you finding work? I am due to go back at the beginning of Sept, my maternity pay finishes next month but there is no point going back just as the summer holidays are about to start would have to fork out for three lots of childcare so my wages would be gone anyway!!!

Hi to everyone else hope you all ok

Take care

Hey Everyone

Sab, work is okay, i actually enjoy it when i'm there and it is good to back stuck into things again...however...i do hate it when dh is looking after jake. Frowner i really wish i was there!) He seems to have him alot more than me, this week for example dh has him mon, tue, wed am and then all day thur and fri and he is in nursery mon and wed pm with my mum having him tue pm. I just feel that i dont see him very much cos he goes to bed at 7pm and am then torn into a million peices at the weekend cos dh's family want to see him as do mine. god i am a moaner......

Jo, oh hun, sounds like Jayden is having a tough time, have you looked on any websites to see if the rash could be a side effect of weaning him of it? Hope the doc puts your mind at rest.

Hope everyone else is ok

Sab, sorry Eloise appointment didnt go as well as you would have liked & sorry about you 4.15 rude awakenings every morning. God how are you managing to run a home and with other kids? Hows Eloise's hand now? My Ky had the same accident with hair straightners as a child (she didnt learn either and kept going for them after the accident) Roll Eyes

Thanks for askig after Neys lump. Shes been on antibiotics for two weeks and it dissapeared. Antibiotics finished and today we noticed the begining to another lump (on the other side of her mouth). God i really dont have a clue what it is, except it must be some sort of an infection as it goes with antibiotics. Anyone else have any ideas?

A friend suggested that it may be connected to teething, except Ney is still gummy (and there's no sign of teeth coming any time soon).

Well im trying not to worry and am gonna try and get an appointment with Dr tomo to discuss it.

Hells, Glad ur enjoying being back at work, and im sure its natural to be feeling like your missing out on time with Jake and envious of time DH spends with him.
Try and make it so that family dont consume every weekend. Maybe they can do two out of a month. That gives you two weekends with just DH and Jake for yourself? (just an idea).

Take care

Hi all,

Char, Eloises' hand is much better thanks it has healed really well and am hoping that it won't leave a scar. Hows Neys lump? sorry I can't think of what it could be Confused, did you get anywhere when you took her to the docs?.

Well as for me am shattered I had my first girlie night out on the town on Saturday since before I was pregnant so didn't get much sleep then Eloise was awake a lot of the night last night so am hanging!!, I have just found the reason for her being awake she has just cut tooth number four, they all seem to be coming at once! Char, it is hard isn't it trying to do everything for everyone, don't seem to get round to half the house work I should be doing as am spending most of the time looking after LO! or being a taxi driver for the older two! still shouldn't complain really as she is lovely!

Anyway best go as she is being a little grumpy moo today.

Take care

Hi everyone,

It's quiet on here, all must be busy with growing Babies!

Well, we took Jayden to see Doc, who agreed that he couldn't see any reason why weaning of colief would end him with rash and cold. He said to try again and persevere with it. We managed to get down from 6 drops to 3 drops, with no rash or cold. But then he wouldn't take his bed time bottle. So we put it back to 6 drops and he took bottle no problems. I tasted the colief and it's really reallt sweet, so wondered if it was the taste of normal formula that he wasn't liking. Hubby phoned Doc and spoke to him, who again agreed with us, and said to go back to 4 drops and leave it at that for a week.
Now Jayden is hardly eating!! In a month he's only put on 6oz! H/V is nagging at me!!! But we think that it's the heat of food, so not gonna heat his food this weekend and see how that goes! Thought that as he will eat any pudding straight from fridge! Either that or he's all of a sudden developed a sweet tooth!!!

Another problem is he's not sleeping at night. Poor little man rolls over on to his tummy and hates it, but because of his boots and bar he can't manage to roll back. So everytime he ends up on tum he wakes crying! He also wants to sleep on his sides, but cant again because of his boots and bar. We just don't know what to do for him.

Is anyone else still giving a bottle in the night? We do, usually between 4 and 6am, when he wakes and won't go back to sleep. Spoke to H/V yesterday about him not eating and she moaned at me about him still being on colief and that he is having a bottle in the night. She also said that he should have more formula (when he takes it he has a 6oz at bedtime and if he has one in night another 6oz). But when we are trying to get him of colief and he doesn't like like the milk what the hell am i supposed to do?!

One minute the H/V says all babies are different and then they say that they all the same and shouldn't have a bottle in night!!!!!

On advise of H/V i got some multi vitamin drops to give him, because he's not getting them with formula.

Apart from all that Jayden is ok, he now weighs 17lb 15oz, he'll be 9 months old tomorrow. He's rolling over but not crawling yet. He's still not said a word, he makes lots of noises but none that resemble a word, the next thing the H/V will be moaning about is that!!!!

Sorry for the moan.
Hope all ok.

Hey Everyone,

Jo - bless you hun, h/v sounds lke a right witch Eeker I say you are Jaydens mum and know whats best for him, so hang in there and I'm sure he'll be fine. Jake only put on 8oz in 4 weeks last time so I wouldn't worry about that. He still has three 6-7oz bottles a day - 7am 3pm and 6.30pm before bed. He wakes up at 5.30am babbling to himself, we tend to ignore him for half an hour and then get up, he still only has his bottle at 7am though so he isn't waking for food. Does Jayden cry when he wakes for his bottle? How long has he been of his food for? Could it be his teeth? I know Jake wouldn't eat food when his tooth was coming, I must admit I dont warm Jakes food if he is having it out of a jar, he has it straight from the jar. If he is having cereal for brekkie, that is slightly warm.

How is everyone else?

Rachel, are you back in the states???

Jake's really good, he can crawl backwards Big Grin but not forwards Red Face which is amusing cos he backs himself into corners or up against furniture! He has finally moved onto mamamama and nanana now (dadadadad was getting annoying cos DH was gloating!)

Hope you're all ok, very quiet on here these days, all busy with facebook I reckon!

Hi all,

Jo, what a nightmare health visitor Mad, like Hells said you know your little one best, that must be so frustrating for him not being able to turn over at night, luckily Eloise doesn't have to have a bar with her shoes and she only wears them in the day. Eloise normally only has two milk feeds now one at between 5.30am and 6am when she wakes up then again at bed time around 6.3opm, she does occasionally have an afternoon feed but most of the time not, she is a little greedy guts when it comes to breakfast and puts away two whole weetabix! Eeker, so she gets plenty more milk that way, she does go off her food when she is teething as well.

Eloise is now crawling all over the place and getting faster by the day, over the last couple of days she has started to pull herself up on things and can get herself back to sitting up from crawling Eeker, so she will soon be cruising around the place, I forgotten what hard work it is once they are on the move she now doesn't stay where I put her now!!!

Hells, lol to us all being on Facebook, guilty as charged i'm afraid I think I might need to have some treatment as am always on there!!! Big Grin

Char, how you doing?

Is anyone else LO getting really clingy?, Eloise is at the moment and crys when I leave the room and just wants to be cuddled all the time, which is lovely most of the time but a tad annoying when I need to get things done.

As for me well things are a little difficult as my hubby might be about to lose his job and without his income things will be very difficult, we are kind of in limbo waiting to find out at the moment Frowner

Well best be off

Take care all

Hi All,

Guilty like Sab, im afraid i too am always on Facebook Big Grin hells. Gets really quiet on here and i forget to check in.
Well these babies and there crawling (wether it be backwards or forwards) lol.
Ney still barely likes being on her tummy, although she does move around loads (rolls etc). She can go from laying flat to sitting up on her own, and shuffles on her bum.

I definately agree Hells, dadadadadada is ever so annoying! Believe it or not, Ney actually says "bad bubba" yes i know its hard to believe but she does (honestly). Think thats the older two as they always say that to her (as it makes her smile). So while every other person is saying mumma & dadda to there babies, in my house its "bad bubba"! lol
Trust that to be the first two words my baby puts together!!

Ney weighed in at 20lb 2oz a coupe weeks ago, shes just over 8 months now (so a good weight).
& yes Sab, Ney is VERRRRRRRYYYYYY clingly, & like you said, it is lovely, but sometimes a tad annoying (cant cook, wash, tidy and loads more) while holding a baby!
On a plus side, i get the best smiles, and when i leave a room, she looks round for me Big Grin

Well best be off. Kids last day at school today, & my baby (my 11 year old) leaves primary school today, so better go find my shades as i'll be booing when i get to the playground!!

Take care all

Char, lol at Ney saying bad bubba, thats so funny!! I am addicted to that Owned on Facebook, Roll Eyes how sad am I! ahh I hope it went ok picking your dd up I remember it well as I was the same this time last year!, but I was much worse when I dropped him off for his first day at big school, was crying my eyes out(I blame being pregnant Big Grin), can't believe he has done a year already has gone so quick.

Eloise had her 7 month check last week and she weighed in at 17lb 9oz so quite little really, it's gonna take forever for her to reach 20lb or whatever the weight is to be able to go in a forward facing car seat!! Eloise seems to have started to get eczema recently, had hoped she might not get it as I have been bf her but no such luck Frowner, I get quite bad hayfever so she must get it from me.

Anyway heres to the six weeks school holidays and my sanity!

Take care

Hi,
Well Jayden doesn't have a bottle during the night anymore, he stopped by himself. He does wake once in the night, I go in to check on him, making sure he's not on his front, then I leave him for a while (sometimes he goes back to sleep within half hour, sometimes he's awake for over an hour).

I was getting worried about Jayden not eating, as i said he was eating pudding but not main. We tried not warming the main, which worked one day and never again after that!!! When I spoke to H/V about it, she said to carry on as we were, try him with main, then give him pud but no more that we would normally. Well, I was getting worried so Hubby spoke to doc, who said that he would be having words with H/V. He disagreed completely with everything she had told me, he said if Jayden wants/needs a bottle in the night then he could have one. He said that if Jayden wasn't eating his main then not to give him pud. He said that toddlers go through this stage and that Jayden was doing this early!!! He said to offer main and keep trying for 45 mins, if after that time still no go with main, no pud, he could still have savory and fruit finger foods, but no crisps, toast with sweet things on ect. This was Friday morning.... As of friday lunch something clicked in Jayden and he's gone back to normal, eating evrything no problems, so I've not had to do what the doc said!!!! I have got to take him to see doc wed, but just so he can talk to me and reasurre me that Jayden is ok.

Jayden is still not very settled at night, I can't remember the time that I went to bed and didn't have to get out to Jayden! It's been so long. The best night we had was one night last week and I only had to go to Jayden 6 times between 10.30pm and 6.30am!!!!

Oh well, I'll soon be used to it!!!

Jayden is kind of crawling, he only bends one leg and he digs his toes into the carpet and pushes himself off like that, it's always the same leg that he bends.

Still no teeth.

Update on MIL: She has now finished the chemo, she had scans and x rays wed and got results back same day. She has to have a masectomy, booked in for 11th Aug. Although the lump has reduced in size, consultant isn't happy because the remaining lump is behind the nipple. Poor Mum is really worried, she's never been in hospital before!!!!

Update on friend, Luke: He has finished chemo, and has had scans ect done, the lump has reduced in size but now needs radiotherapy, he's waiting to see his consultant to find out how many days of radiotherapy he needs ect.

Anyway, best go, house to tidy!

Speak soon
Jo & Jayden

I've been trying to post this for 2 days now, for some reason it wouldn't let me, so Here's update.

Had Jayden weighed yesterday, still 17lb 15oz, so not put on anything in 2 weeks.

Saw Doc today, he checked him over and nothing wrong with him, but said that when he cries in night, I have to leave him to cry, I'm so not looking forward to that!!!! Hubby has modified his cot so that he can't get boots stuch in between the bars, so that we can leave him to cry. We actually did this last night, left him for 5 mins then next time 10 mins, and I hated it, I laid on the bed with my head in my pillow and hubby's hand on my other ear!!!! it was the longest 10 mins ever, and now there's more to come. Is anyone else doing the leave to cry?

Right going now, I'll let you know how it goes!!

Jo & Jayden
