Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is ok, not heard from Cludgie for ages, hope she's ok.

Well Jayden is still poorly. He's lost 2oz which is the first time he has ever lost (he never lost any when he was born!). He had a virus for 2 weeks, off his food, preferred milk!. Wasn't sleeping at night which resulted in him sleeping in the day, would only settle with me in my arms, and couldn't put him down once sleep, so meant I was just sat nearly all day watching crap on telly! He also had a nasty rash, luckily it didn't seem to bother him too much. Anyway, that all cleared up, then he started teething. He is so unhappy. Not sleeping day or night, off food again! I have noticed a slight improvement in the last day or two.

Jayden had his 7 month check last week. H/V was happy with his weight. He is above agerage on his height (like Daddy). The H/V thinks he has a slight squint (I mentioned it to her as Daddy has a squint), so she was reffering us to a specialist, so now waiting for the appointment. His head is of normal size. He is on time with everything for his age. He's sitting up and loves standing! Since he's realised that he can sit he doesn't roll over anymore!!

We still havn't managed to wean Jayden of Colief. We are at present trying a few things with him. We are still sure that he is Lactose Intolerant. So we are experimenting with Milk and Lactose free milk. I've made an angel delight with Lactose free, which he ate really well and has been fine with, no tummy cramps or screaming later. So this weekend I'm going to make him one with normal milk. Which I'm sure will send him doo laly!!. Then we are going to test one other thing with him, if again he is fine with the lactose free then we are taking him to the doctor and demanding a test. If it turns out that he is lacose intolerant, we'll be really angry with them. All this time of being in pain, inflicted by me because they swore he wasn't!!!

I'm fine. Tired, but fine. Still feeling great after op. I decided to sleep downstairs last night on sofa bed. And I had the best nights sleep in weeks. Daddy always does one night at the weekend, but I always hear Jayden 1st and then I have to nudge Hubby to wake him. So apart from the fact that I don't actually get out of bed, I still don't sleep that well. So I decided that if I slept downstairs I wouldn't hear Jayden therefore I would and did sleep like a log!! Daddy does hear Jayden but says that he knows I am there and his brain doesn't register that he is on duty, but I know that he is capable of it as he did it when I was in hospital!!

MIL is doing really well with chemo, she has 2 more sessions to go. A scan has shown that the tumour has shrunk slightly, so we are hoping that it she will be able to have the remaining tumour removed rather than the whole breast removed. Our friend Luke has just 1 more session left. He has been really well with the chemo, not lost his hair and has been really well throughout it all.

Right, I'm off, things need doing, and they won't get done with me sat on here!!

Hi everyone,

Very quiet on here these days.

Not much new this end, apart from Eloise now has two teeth didn't seem to bother her much thank goodness, she has also taken to waking up quite early so have invested in some black out blinds and she slept a little longer last night although Dh did say he heard her at about 2am for half an hour talking to herself!!!.

Well something funny happened today was in Asda and went through one of those self scanner things put my bottle of wine through and they have to authorise it and the lady asked me for ID Big Grin was so funny I told her I was 30 but she said you have to look 25 and as I didn't have any proof couldn't have the wine!!! anyway it made my day was very flattered had to send my friend in to get it for me felt like I was 16 again!! Cool

Anyway hope you are all well

Take care

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're all well. Don't seem to have to time to get on at the moment, am usually in bed for 9! So tired being back at work....

Ha Ha, Sab being asked for ID, it is really good! Imagine how well you'll look at 70! Wow two teeth for Eloise, Jake still hasn't any Roll Eyes, he is a constant dribbler and now has a very unattractive dribble rash on his neck! Mind you he still manages to eat toast!

Emma, well done on the weight loss, I have been going weight watchers although since going back to work I have really gone off the rails. Am going to try and get back on track tomorrow.

Jo, sorry Jayden is poorly, hopefully he is better and you're getting more sleep.

Jake is good, got him weighed today and managed to get a day off to take him swimming, he now weighs 20lb 8oz, so the majority of his 6-9 t-shirts down fit him and the pants are getting a bit short!

Nothing really anything else to report, hope everyone is well and all the bubs are good.

Bye for now

Hells & Jake xx

Where is everyone?

Jayden is slightly better. He's sleeping a bit better, but does wake every night between 4 and 6am for a bottle. He is teething, fingers constantly in his mouth. He dribbles lots and has a really sore red bum. Sometimes he wants his food and sometimes he doesn't. He hasn't actually got any throgh yet, but there are two really sharp places in his mouth, but no sign of teeth yet, just hope for all our sakes they won't be long.

I took him to be weighed last week and he put on 9oz in 11 days, so as of last Tuesday he weighed 17lb 3oz. Up until this week I've been taking Jayden to be weighed every week, but I've now decided to take him fortnightly, unless I need to see H/V for something.

We are going to have one more attemt at getting Jayden off the colief. I hate doing it to him especially at the minute as he is in so much pain with his teeth, But it needs doing.

Anyway, will post again soon.

Hi all,

Well sorry ive been AWOL. No reason, was just really really quiet on here and kind of forgot to keep checking in. Havnt had a good catch up yet but will do.
Did see though that Jayden hasnt been very well. Hope he's better now Jo x
Yay Emma, another 2lb. U go girl.
Sab, ID, now that is funny. Would have made my day too.
Sorry everyone else, will try and catch up soon.

As for us, Ney has been doing really well untill the weekend when i creamed her face and noticed that she had a lump (pea sized in her cheek).
So long winded but, basically lump grew in a couple days (around the size of a penny). Took her to our walk in centre, Health visitor then Dr's. Everybody seemed to be a bit baffled but shes on antibiotics and hopefully its an infection of some sort.
Dr wants her back in 2 weeks (after the antibiotics) to review. If lumps still there then its a referal to hospital. So obviously ive been prodding and poking the lump for the last couple days (today it does seem smaller) that may just be me and wishful thinking, but i'll keep checking it.

As for me, had started a diet and was doing really well (lost 6lb in 2 weeks). Shouldnt say diet as im not calling it that. I just cut out snacking. Things have gone a bit haywire last week or so (and i dare not step on the scales).
Also time of the month (so trying not to munch munch) wont stop at one bag of mateesers Em (lol). Gonna try get back on track tomo.

Well sorry for the lack of personals. Will try catch up soon.

Hiya Everyone,

Not been around for a while, Ive had so much to do. Not had timw to read and catch up with what's been going on but I hope your all well.

Just a quick question for you really... When did you all start introducing finger foods??? Ethans eating really well and coping with a few small lumps and has the chewing motion down to a fine art, hes 6 months a week on Monday so wondered if I could introduce a few bits of banana and boiled carrot of wether it was best to leave it until he was 7 months? What age did you all do it at?

I think there is a tooth comming through at the botton, hes constantly got his fingers in his mouth biting at them and I looked at his gums yesterday and where a tooth would be is raised up. He makes so funny noises when hes chewing his hands, really grunts and moans. His cheeks arnt red and he hasnt got a sore bottom, hes not dribbling too much either. I might be wrong but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Im off, got to get sorted to go up my mums in a bit. Sunday dinner, yum!!!

Hope your all well,
Vicki.x

Vicki

I started Jayden on finger foods about a month ago. To start with I gave him raw carrot sticks from fridge (i started this when he started teething, to cool his gums). The last week he's had cheese on toast, toast, apple, banana, rusks and biscuits.

Hope this helps, I know everyone is different!! I really wish these babies came with a manual, it would help loads!!!!

Well, Jayden has now had angel delight made with Lactose free milk, Semi skimmed cow's milk, and full fat cow's milk. And he has been fine with all!!!! So tomorrow I'm going to try him on the banana porridge that made him really bad. If he's fine with that, then Tuesday I'm going to give it one last try at weaning from colief. Fingers crossed!!!!

Back soon
Jo

Thanks Sab. Ney's lump has almost dissapeared so i guess that means it was some sort of an infection. Weird though, have never seen or heard of anything like it. Thank god its almost gone though. Your too right, was very worrying. The things our kids put us through eh! Roll Eyes.
Oh, & lucky you, no periods for 6 months!!!

Thanks again for the message

Hi all,

Char, really pleased Neys' lump has gone sounds very weird! can't believe what happened today Eloise managed to grab my hair straigteners which were just cooling down and now has a nasty blister on her hand Frowner, she doesn't seem bothered by it but I feel terrible Frowner.

I think Eloise will be crawling soon she just about manages to get onto her knees and kinda rocks forward and then falls but I don't reckon it will be long now, am happy to wait cos I just know she is going to be into absolutely everything!!! she is such a little character can't believe she is over seven months already.

Eloise has an appointment tomorrow with the consultant to see how her feet are doing hopefully he will think ok, must remember to take my list of questions this time as always forget when I am there.

Vicki, Eloise had finger food from the very beginning, as it took her a while to get used to eating solids to start with she hated them but would eat things if she could hold them, i started weaning her when she was just over five months.

Anyway

Take care

Hi all,

Well we are in the process of weaning Jayden of Colief!! I made angel delight with lactose free, semi skimmed and finally full fat cow's milk. And he was fine with them all Big Grin I have also tried him on powdered banana porridge (had it before and it made him scream for 4 hours!). And again he was fine. So we are guessing that he has grown out of what ever the problem was.
I reduced the colief drops on wed and again today. So far so good!! Fingers crossed!

Jayden now weighs in at 17lb 8oz and is just over 8 months old.

Hope everyone is ok.

Back soon
