Afternoon Girls Well I have had a few bad days, just feel like there is this black cloud hanging over me. Feeling a lot better today and more positive. I am going to make a note of it, as Im sure I had the same last month and Im wondering if it is my hormones? In the last 2 days I have eaten 1 large mint aero and then last night 1 large cadburys caramel and we also had chips at dinner. So I am trying to be really good today and get myself on the Cross Trainer tonight. Char - Millie has a bottle of Milk when she wakes (170ml), 9am some breakfast, about 2 1/2 dessert spoons, 12pm she has lunch today it was carrot & Potato about 3 - 4 dessert spoons then a Fromage Frais at 2pm she has another bottle (150ml ish) then at 4pm she has 2 rusks melted down with her milk then drinks most of the remaining milk and then at 7pm she has her last bottle of milk (150ml) We weighed her yesterday and she weighs 17lb. She is happy enough, so I am. Beanz - I hope you are your DH work things out. Right better go Take Care Emma

Hi all, Not been on here for a bit and havent got time to catch up at the mo. Im in the middle of cooking up some veg for Ethan. He loves his food, I was worried he wasnt ready but I guess he was. So far we have apple and pear with a touch of baby rice for breakfast at 7am then he has carrot and parsnip at 4pm. This week im introducing sweet potato, sweed and butternut squash. Was going to do some pea and sweetcorn puree but ive read it can be lumpy, is that right??? Thought about getting one of those annabel karmel mouli's but every time I go into boots they havent got any in stock. I got some flexi Ice cube trays from Ikea, they are ace... how sad, getting excited about ice-cube trays, I need to get out more. Ethans getting to be a complete monster. Had him weighed last week and he was 17lb 15ozs, I was going to take him again today but was tooo scared. My sister in law emailed me the other day about her little boy who's 2 weeks older than Ethan and he now weighs 21lbs and he hasnt even started solids yet! We breed giants in our family Ethan rolls over now onto his front, hes rolled back a couple of times but not quite mastered it yet. We brought his highchair this week, he lookes so tiny in it, but he came eye to eye with the cat as she jumped up onto it and now he seems obsessed with her, craining his neck to look at her when she walks into the room. Right id better go, this was only supposed to be a short post and im waffling on like ive got nothing better to do. Take care all, Vicki & Ethan.xx

Well done on almost hitting your first stone Emma . Im having real motivation issues at the mo with trying to lose my baby weight. Ive 2 stone left to shift and no matter what Ive done over the last month nothing seems to be working. Ethan wasnt very happy when he first ended up on his tummy in his cot but now almost every morning he seems to be on his front and fast asleep, I almost feel mean for waking him up for breakfast. We have big black clouds here aswell . Im supposed to be going to meet a friend in town soon but I have a feeling im going to get wet! Vicki.x

Hey everyone, How are you all doing? It's so quiet on the boards at the mo, I guess everyone has gone to bumples or is enjoying the sunshine. Anyway all is ok here, Katie is asleep at the mo, so I thought I would catch up. She's still not sleeping through the night and wakes a couple of times for a feed, I decided to try weaning her, but it made no difference, and she wasn't really that interested so I have put it on hold for the time being. She was poorly last week, I think she had a virus, she had a really high temp for a couple of days, and then got a rash over her tum, which when I googled it came up as a viral rash! (dr Nicki!!) The only trouble was I had 3 nights of even less sleep!!! I am knackered. (I made myself a coffee without boiling the kettle...yuk!!!!) So I have decided after the Christening (which is on Sunday!!!! AAaaaaaahhhhh) She is moving into her room in her cot, and I am going to try weaning agian and see if it makes a difference. Just out of interest, am I the only one left who still has their baby in their room and still B/feeding? I must admit I will miss her, it's nice having her next to me, and so much easier when she needs a feed, but I really need some sleep, and I do wonder if I left her a while whether she would settle herself.....I will keep you posted!!! Otherwise, all is good. She's turning into such a character, and loves Ben, you can tell she wonders where he is when he's at school, and when he's home she follows him around with her eyes, which is lovely to see, and thankfully the feeling is mutual! He still can't stop cuddling her. Emma, Wow, fantastic news on the weight loss, thats fab, well done you. I hope things have sorted themselves a bit with dh How's the job hunting going?.xx Billy, I hope you're enjoying your break, and thanks for popping by, good luck with the clomid, I hope this round works for you.xx Yum mum, Sorry I didn't say Hi before, but welcome and Hi!!!xx Jo, What a lovely idea having Jaydens christening on your 30th, it will make it so special. Things are happening slowly, I know that Friday and Saturday are going to be chaos!!! Hope Jaydens ok, I saw your post re colief.xx Sab, How's things with you and dh? Better I hope. Like Char said slowly does it. xx Vicki, Hi hope you and Ethan are ok. Char, Katie isn't on any solids yet, and looking back I think she's the only one!!! But I swear our babies are twins!!! Katie does exactly like Ney does shuffling around on her back....we couldn't believe it when she did it the other day. Poor old Ben has had to take all his little toys (marbles, lego) up to his room!!! Ok, sorry girls gotta go, Katie has just woken up. Before I do though, has anyone heard from Hells or Cludgie or Frenchie? I think Frenchie posts on Jan 08 thread, I might check on there. If you get a chance though girls, pop in and let us know you're ok. Ok, will try to pop on again before the Christening, lots of love to you all and babies xx Nicki xx

Just out of interest what do you girls think at the mo? I know it's not ment too be the best time, but if we wait is it likely to get any better?! xx nicki xx

Hi girls, Is very quiet on here!!! Nicki, I am still bf and Eloise is over six months now, we have it down to four feeds a day which is great. We didn't move her into her own room until she was over five months and to be honest it didn't make that much difference to begin with, we also waited until she was five months to start her on solids which she hated for the first three weeks!!!! All of a sudden things seem to have got much better she is on three solid meals a day, and now sleeps through yipppeeeeee, mind you she was six months before she did that and I was just starting to get to the end of my tether and thought I couldn't stand many more nights of being awake without going crazy It is all so much easier now I can get some sleep and am starting to feel like I am getting some semblence of my life back now, Eloise is such a lovely baby she is really good at sitting up now, and she rolled from her back to her front for the first time the other day, she has been able to roll the other way for ages but has taken her a bit longer to master the back to front rolling!!! As for me and Dh yes we are getting on a lot better now he is staying away during the week and coming home at the weekends and then we have been going out for the day on a Sunday as a family which has been lovely, anyway we shall take it as it comes for now but definite progress Emma, well done on the weight loss, how are things with your dh? any better? It sounds like it could be your hormones affecting your mood I know mine certainly do and that I can get very depressed before my period, but thankfully haven't started them again yet due to bf which I am grateful for, not looking forward to going back to all of that!!! Anyway girls I have rambled enough Take care Sab x

Hiya Sab, Thank God!!!! I'm so glad it's not just my daughter who is adverse to sleeping!!!!! I am feeling exactly like you did, although I love her dearly, I am dizzy with tiredness sometimes, and it really doesn't take alot to tip me over the edge, and I either end up in tears or losing my temper!! But you have given me hope that the end could be in sight, maybe when we get proper weaning established, then it will make a difference. I only started it before because everyone suggested that it would help her sleep, but she really wasn't interested and it made no flipin' difference anyway! But she really is a lovely little girl, and sooo cute...but then I am biased!! I'm so glad that you and dh are doing better, I'm sure it makes a difference now you are feeling more human too. I think men just don't realise how tiring it can be, I haven't had a night of unbroken sleep since before she was born, but if I ever dare to moan, I just get back that he has to work, so he's tired too......what does he think I do all day!!!??? Anyway, enough of my moanings. I need to go clean the oven....oooh one of my favourite jobs....not!!!! Thanks Sab xx Nicki xx

HI girls, sorry I haven't posted forever... time just flies by! we are doing really well - Junior is really fun to be with now. Nighttimes can still be a bit hit and miss - although in the last week he has generally slept from 11pm til 6am ish, so that's pretty good i think! the week before we were on holiday and he woke up at 3am every morning - just like a newborn again!! He's still breastfed - although has one bottle at 10.30pm so I can get to bed (not that it happens very often!) and not started weaning yet, although I have bought all the stuff - bar ice cube trays - this week, so might start next week. He rolls front to back, but not back to front, and is very active... forever kicking his feet when he's lying down - much more active than the rest of my antenatal group! think I'm in for a lot of running around once he's mobile! Emma - well done on the weightloss, and Sab, great news on Eloise's sleeping Nicki - you're not alone on the not sleeping through! Frenchie xx

Hey Everyone Long time no post....well, we've moved house and been on our hols to zante! House move was a nightmare with Jake, bless him he was very confused! We'd no sooner moved in and we went on holiday the week after which confused Jake even more although after the first day he was great! It was really nice to get away and relax, we've managed to get loads done at home since we got back probably becuase we're more chilled! Jake is brilliant, he is so funny, he is shouting 'da da da' constantly at the mo of course dh thinks he really is saying daddy He sits up on his own and if I put him on his front he commando shuffles forward but ends up crying at the same time, i dont think he likes being on his front He is quite happy either sat up or on his back with both feet in his mouth! In fact the only downside to him is that he is an early riser! 5.30 and he is singing in his cot! He doesn't wake up crying but singing , the earlyness would be annoying if the singing wasn't so funny! I shouldnt complain though he has his bottle at 6.30 then bed at 7pm, i dont hear from him then until 5.30! We do ignore him until 6, i think he chatters to his mobile! Its not hunger thats waking him cos he only has his bottle at 7.30. Ive tried keeping him up later, doesn't make any difference! The underwater photoshoot was crap! Jake had his eyes closed on the pictures, I was gutted, we still go to class and i have been taking him further under the water in the hope that he'll open his eyes as he gets near to the surface for the next shoot in July. I can't believe i'm back to work a week on monday , really dreding it....... I've had a quick look through whats been going on, Emma - well done on the weight loss, i went back to weight watchers 4 weeks ago and have lost 12.5lbs. Its hard work to keep motivated isn't it. Hope things are better with you and DH. Jo - glad to hear the op went well and that your on the mend. Sab - sounds like you're having a tough time without your mum, sounds like things are improving with your dh, we are all here if you need to talk xx Rach, can't believe your back to the US so soon, you must be up to your eyes in packing boxes! Go Chloe for crawling, although i'm sure you could have done with her not being mobile whist trying to pack up a house! Char, Ney sounds like she is doing well, I haven't had Jake weighed in weeks although I think he must be near to if not over 20lb, some of his 6-9 mth clothes don't fit anymore , he has 4 x 6oz bottles, some breakfast and then a 125ml jar for his tea followed by a fromage frais or puried fruit for pud. I have this week started giving him some toast in the morning. Just a bit of crust with cheese spread on, he doesn't actually eat the toast, just sucks on it! But i figure its getting him used to finger food , bless him he's still toothless! Vicki, Jake loves butternut squash and sweet potatoe, probably his favourite. He has had sweetcorn from when i first started weaning, i mixed it with carrot, it was fine. Nicki, aww, poor katie being poorly hope she is better and you are getting more sleep. I must admit i found jake settled better in his room, mainly because i wasn't up and down all night at every noise putting his dummy in! Billy, how are you doing? I haven't had chance to catch up with your thread, but I hope you're ok.xx Not sure if i've missed anyone but i reckon war and peace is long enough! I'll post some holiday pics over the weekend. Bye for now Hells & Jake xx

Morning All I hope you are all ok, it is very quiet on here have we moved to the pther website and no one has told me???? Well I stayed the same this week, so I have still lost 1 stone. Dont feel to bad about it as I havent eaten that well and have done no exercise. Starting a fresh this week and have already done 30 mins on the cross trainer this morning. I have just read an article where it says you should do your cardio vascular (sp???) work first thing in the morning on an empty stomach if you want to lost fat as our bodies will be depleted of glycogen, which means our body will use our stored body fat quicker, which I have plenty off of at the minute !!! Millie is doing really well, I cant believe she will be 6 months this week. Mind you really pleased as it means I can put in the next car seat, which will make it a lot easier getting her in and out and she will be facing forward just like the rest of us !! Washing machine wont work this morning, I really hope DH can fix it tonight as we have not got any spare money to buy a washing machine. well better go Take Care Emma
