Hi everyone, Well am in sunny Cyprus is not mega hot but just nice, Eloise was a little more grumpy on the flight this time but not too bad. Char, not started Eloise on any solids yet she is probably nearly ready but not sure I want to start it whilst we are away!, last time she was weighed she was 14lb 2 1/2 oz so she is only tiny but following her weight line ok. Vicki, thanks for the message the other day. Nicki, glad to "see" you back! Well Eloise is no where near sitting she much prefers to be held taking her weight on her feet also no where near crawling either but thats just fine with me!! Anyway best be off Take care girls Sab x

Hi, Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm now home, op went to plan. I have four holes in my stomache and they hurt!! I'm gonna enjoy the next week with Hubby at home, helping tp look after Jayden! So is he, I think!!!
Anyway, gonna go now, and sit on sofa and watch Jayden on the floor, I've tried to hold him, and if he was to sit still he'd be ok, but he's too lively!! Bless him. I really did miss him last night, the first time I've ever been away from him!
Will post again soon Jo

Hi All, Sab, I dont think Eloise is behind in her weight. Ney was 16lb 5oz (2 weeks ago) and she's WAY above that average line in the red book, so Eloise is probably right on it. As for the no where near crawling and sitting up, Ney's the same. Dont even try to put her on her belly (she looks like she's tryna fly) hasnt quite mastered that you have to put your arms on the ground & like you, im not bothered. I am definately not in a hurry for her to become mobile!!! Enjoy your hols, and time with your mum x Jo, im glad the op went well & hubbys off so that you can take things easy, make sure that you do! 4 holes dont sound nice so dont over do things. Im sure Jayden's just as happy as you are that your home (after all, i bet his feet havnt been kissed in er how many hours?....... lol). Hope everyone else is ok. Char & Ney xxxx

Hiya ladies, Not having alot of luck are you Emma!!!lolxx Jo, I'm glad the op went well, get lots of rest. Hope dh is doing lots for you. Take care hun xx Ps how's your mil? Rach, So nice to see you back again, how's everything going with the moving? Bet it's chaos at yours !!! Sab, hope your enjoying your hol, you lucky thing you. Char, glad you're ok hun, lol at Ney looking like she's trying to fly....so does Katie, she hasn't a clue!!! I'm not in a hurry for her to grow up either, especially as she's the last one. I want to make the most of her being a baby, I was in too much of a hurry with Ben to get him to do the next thing. She does enjoy being starkers though and laying on a mat kicking her legs, sooo cute!! As for crawling.....not for a while I hope.. Ben was 9 months, thats plenty early enough for me!! Hells, You're right, organising the christening has been a nightmare... we are having a party back at my mum and dads, they have alot of land (my grandad had a market garden years ago, they have 5 acres!!) So we are having a couple of marquees and a bouncy castle for the children. We are doing all food etc ourselves for about 80 people!!! The numbers keep going up!! It's getting so expensive too. As long as the weathers nice I don't care!!!! Hope the underwater photo goes well, can you post it on msn? Would love to see it. xx Have thought about weaning, but not started yet, she's only 15 weeks. But I think she's a bit interested...she watches you when you eat now!! Ben I started at 14 weeks, (I know I know) but he was never satisfied, and he started waking at night!! Katie hasn't slept through yet, so I can't use that sign!!lol Right better go sort tea, Ben goes back to school tomorrow, I'll miss him loads, but it will be nice to have a tidy house again!! Love to all mums and babies. xx Nicki xx Ps, have you seen the maddness on pregnancy site? Sad isn't it, I thought it was a site for support not being childish and petty!! I'm glad I'm over here now. xx

Nicki, Thanks, Yeah Hubby is looking after me and Jayden really well, bless him, He's doing the night feed, as I can't hold Jayden, he's too big for my lap at the minute!!! I'm not allowed to lift him either, so I'm feeling a little bit useless! I do as much as I can with Jayden.
MIL is doing well, Sadly she lost all her hair within a week of first chemo session, but had already been to pick a wig before she started chemo. It really suits her, and we all think it looks better than her hair!!! She's had a few nasty colds, which have left her feeling like crap and with no energy. We've also had a few colds in the last month, which means that we can't go to see her, so she's missing Jayden!! But mum and Dad are coming to look after me and Jayden for the morning tomorrow, as hubby has to pop to work for a few hours, so I'm sure she will love having lots of cuddles with him. As will Jayden!!
Thanks again for asking, and after me. Jo & jayden

Right lets try again . . . . We are all doing ok, Millie is doing really well and turns onto her side then rolls back again. She giggles, laughs and "talks" which all makes us laugh. In the past few weeks I have started to introduce a small amount of food to Millie and she is loving it. The main reasons for doing this were, chewing her hands constantly, reducing her bottle times to every 2-3hrs, instead of 3-4hrs, waking in the night and she would watch the rest of us eat and if close by she started to reach out to get some food off the plate. So she now has Heinz sunrise banana breakfast and I have tried her with a little carrot and banana. I used to give her the breakfast at lunch but in the last couple of days I have moved the breakfast to around 9am and then at around 2pm she has some banana or carrot. I have not reduced her bottles and she is still on 5 a day but she does seem a lot happier, is sleeping better and is leaving her hand alone. I know she has only just turned 4 months, but I think she needed some food introduced to her now and it does not seem to have affected her in a bad way atall. Have started to look into childcare options for when I return to work, our eldest DD starts school in September so we will only need after school and then Millie will need full time care. I have approcahed on of the nursery girls where eldest went who is fully qualified and we have briefly spoken about her becomming our nanny and looking after dd no2 and picking dd no1 from school. Or finding a childminder, have spoken to a really nice one but need to wait until mid July before she will know if she will have any places. Then there is a nursery for DD2 and finding other arrangements for DD1 after school, god its complicated !!! Jo - Im glad your op went well and you are recoverying ok. I hope Jayden is well and enjoying have Daddy at home this week. I hope you MIL treatment is 100% successful. Nickif & Rachel - Its good to see you, I hope you are both well. Rachel - Are you back in the states yet or is that soon? Sab - I hope you are having a great time in Cyprus, I bet the weather is much better there than here. Enjoy spending time with your mum Nickif - Re the pregnancy site, I know what you mean. Question - Is anyone else feeling really annoyed with there DH all the time? For me it has been for the past couple of months but even more so in the past few weeks, everything he does is just annoying me. If I ask him to do something I have to ask a million times, yet if a friend asks him he is off helping them out. It was out 6th Anniversary last Sat and he made no effort atall. Now I know money is tight and we cant really afforf to do anything but he made no effort. Plus I had the winner on the Grand National on Saturday and won £20, DH said lets treat ourselves and go for a Pizza with the girls, which I thought great, then he invited some friends !! I have been really thinking about if I caould be a single Mum and handle it all, I have never done this before. Hopefully its just a phase and I hope it passes soon. Right Im off for a hot bath and bed. Take Care Emma

Hi All, Rach, glad you & Chloe are doing well. Ive started Ney on solids (really gradually, but she has some form of solids every day now). Its going really well. Nicki, im glad Ney isnt on her own with the flying and Katie is doing it too . I do try ever so hard not to laugh at her when she does it. Jo, im glad hubby is taking care of you and your getting lots of rest in. Here's to a speedy recovery for you luv xx Emma, sorry i had to laugh. Your reasons for starting Millie on solids mirror mine exactly!!! (eating of the hands, watching us all eat, sleeping for less time) Ooh how weird is that eh? and they say dont start them till 6 months!!! Well i did try to wait till 6 months, but each baby is individual, i think sometimes you have to do whats best for the child in question. As for us and starting Ney on solids, well it was the best move possible. Not only is she a more content child, but so are Mummy and Daddy. Ney actually goes through the night.........can you believe that. I never thought id be writing that. Lol & yes it isnt all about going through the night, but if it can be believed Ney really was starting to be a whingy child before she started on solids (not joking) she was getting really clingy and just in general not really a happy child. Milk definately run its course for Ney, she was definately ready for something more. Anyway, those of you thinking of doing it, dont feel bad about the rules and regulations that you will be made to feel like your breaking if you do start solids a happy baby is a happy Mummy after all. Oh may i add (i still havnt plucked up the courage to tell the HV ive started solids yet) so, so much for my big lecture to you guys eh!!! Lol. Bye for now Char & Ney xxx

Hey Everyone Well, I'm writing this post whilst Jake is screaming like a trooper in his cot. He has turned into a little monkey and keeps waking every 45 mins to an hour during the night crying, for no reason, as soon as either me or dh goes in he smiles and stops! Plus I'm getting reaaly nervous about him giong to nursery and him not being able to get himself off to sleep at naptime, so we started controlled crying last night , it wasn't so bad last night, he cried for 5 mins then 10 (really hard to deal with) but then gave up a bit of the way into the 15 mins, then during the night I waited for 5 mins at each cry and he seemed to settle back to sleep before I went in....this morning however, has not been so great...we are halfway through 20 minutes and I'm losing the will to continue but i know it will be for the best....eventually.... Anyway, Sab, glad you're enjoying your hols and spending time with your mum especially in the sunshine..its raining here Jo, glad the op went ok, sounds like dh is taking good care of you and Jayden Char, i'm glad that Ney is enjoying her food, Jake has really gone off his milk, I have dropped him down to 5oz during the day and a 7oz before bed, but he generally just messes about with it! Emma, sorry things aren't going too well with DH at the mo, have you tried telling him how you feel, you know what men are like they really dont get it when we are feeling down (well my dh doesn't) or when they are annoying us Or maybe speak to your health visitor, could you perhaps be a little down yourself? I really hope things get better.. Rachel, good to hear from you. Hope everyone else is okay Bye for now Hells xx

Hi all, Well can you believe it rain in Cyprus whatever next! I better not come home after three weeks looking as white as when I went I won't be happy ! Jo, Glad hubby is looking after you, how you feeling? Emma, finding childcare is such a nightmare isn't it where I live they don't really have much after school provision and I found it really difficult to find someone to look after my eldest two, I don't even want to think about going back to work , it will be September if I do go back. How are things with your DH? My DH and I have our ups and downs and do tend to argue most at three in the morning!!! Rachel, glad things are going well, i'm sure you have told us but my brain being like a sieve when is it you are moving? Char, yeah i'm with you as well on not wanting them to grow up to fast, as like Nicki said with the eldest ones you are always wanting them to get to the next stage but with Eloise i'm happy for her to go at her own pace and want her to stay little for as long as possible can' believe she is going to be five months in a few days, where has all the time gone already?! Hells, hows the controlled crying thing going? hopefully Jake is more settled now as he was going through the night wasn't he? Well we are all ok although Eloise has a little sniffle and hasn't been wanting to have much milk and only feeding for about five minutes at a time, she seems ok in herself so am trying not to worry about it! I'm getting really fed up with my family and DH going on at me about weaning Eloise, my dd can't wait and everyday asks are we going to give her her baby rice today hmmm I just don't want to yet as Eloise seems quite content after each feed and only wakes once for food during the night, it's all so confusing and i've done it twice before! Anyway girls enough of my ramblings Take care Sab x
