Hi there I know it is normal for children to put everything in their mouths, however my youngest is still putting everything in his mouth and loves it! I find it quite odd when he sneaks the diaper rash ointment and puts some in his mouth and says "yum yum" I did try it and believe me it is not yummy!![Razzer] He is teething quite steadly and I understand his need to chew but to eat and enjoy disgusting things like lady bugs etc. Is this normal? My daughter never did these things.

hi ya, i dont know if its "normal" but i used to eat bugs when i was younger, my mum used to always catch me with snails in my mouth [:I] lol, the only thing ild worry about is if he got a tummy upset or ate something that wouldnt agree with him, why not mention it to your health visitor/doctor im sure they hear about this kind of thing all the time.
good luck with it

My dd would eat snails aswell, shell and all and would clamp her teeth so you couldnt remove it, my niece would eat red brick and lick concrete slaps and eventually they both grew out of it.

Oh good it's always nice to hear that your kids aren't freaks!! I think I will ask the dr about it just to be safe. Poor little guy has a bulls eye on his back! I always do a tick check after playing outside, somehow I think I may have missed one and I'm freaking out. Hopefully it isn't a tick bite!
