hi everyone! We had a gorgeous service - really nice readings and DS1 was a little darling carrying the rings down on a ring cushion bless him. DS2 on the other hand was a right little monkey! He screamed all the way through the vows (even tho I fed him literally as we were walking out the door and the service was only 30 mins!!! Wyatts godmother and her husband are related to a professional photographer and as a surprise they arranged for him to come and do proper wedding photos which was a real surprise - how lovely a gesture is that? And my other witness who is a good friend too has a wonderful camera and took some AMAZING photos in black and white and sepia - oh wow she caught some stunners! As the prof guy was doing the usual "posed shots" she was snapping away through the whole service and has some lovely natural ones of us as a family - I am so chuffed! Can't wait to get the disk so that I can share on MSN! My dad and step mum gave us a generous cheque so we went out on Saturday and bought a snazzy new digi camera and my mum bought us a new cooker and a little wedding cake! I am really overwhelmed by my friends and family being so lovely - and noone except possibly DH's (!!!) little sister was put out or upset that we did it alone. HAd some people turn up at the house - family and friends and we stayed up til late enjoying sausage rolls and chatting and generally having a nice evening. The only fly in the ointment was Wyatt being so unsettled - he was very upset most of the evening and we have had the same experience both sat and today so we think we have an official "witching hour" that lasts from about 4-5pm til about 8-9pm. Nightmare. Does anyone else's little cherub play up in the evening and just want to be held and "shushed"? We think he has tummy ache but its not colic as he doesn't draw his knees up - we wondered if it was because we've dropped in a couple of formula feeds?....My milk supply can only keep up if I sit around all day eating and drinking and not doing anything strenuous - as soon as I start cleaning or washing etc it seems to stop producing. The HV advice of course is to sit and do nothing - but poor DS1 needs me too and I won't let him suffer needlessly. What do you guys think? DH wondered if perhaps the mixed feeding was upsetting his tummy as the HV did say at parentcraft before Wyatt arrived that mixed feeding isn't good for their chemical balances in their tummies? He suggested stopping the BF altogether and just doign formula....I'm reluctant to give up BF though due to all these supposed benefits he will get. ARRGGH - the guilt and uncertainty is doing my head in! Sorry for the mega ME post but the feeding issues are really getting to me - I feel totally inadequate. I can't believe Nicnak has managed to get 60oz in the freezer! I can barely keep up with just the daily demands - howmany times a day do you express girl for heavens sake! Those doign formula feeding - how old did you make the switch? i can't remember anyone's due dates now we're off the pregnancy forum! Wierd isn't it? Right going to go now before I start getting broody again! Zxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Zoe - Wow, your wedding day sounds like it was lovely! how wonderful your friends & family are. My dd1 was awful in the evenings like Wyatt, she didnt have colic either. She just wanted to be "cluster" fed, with cuddles in between. i found it was the best time for her bath, as that calmed her down. Im still mixed feeding, never heard before that it could be bad! Checked my ultimate resource, mumsnet (does anyone else use that site?) and cant find anything about it either. The only thing similar is upsetting the "virgin gut", but on bottle is enough to do that, and i dont think it actually hurts them in any way. Josh seems to be fine with mixed feeding. He prefers my boob milk, but happily takes a bottle too. So i give him a bottle first (2-3 oz) then top up with my milk. Seems like the best of both worlds to me, and he doesnt have marathon breast feeds because he is already quite full from the formula. LOL hope you understand all that, Ive rambled slightly! We could probably do with a baby chart, with mum, baby & baby age on it, so its easier to see what stage everyone is at! Josh has his 2nd lot of injections today, not looking forward to it. Where has the last 12 weeks gone? My baby is almost 3 months - argh!

Good Morning Mummies!! Sory ive been a bit absent over the weekend have been checking in but just not had any time to post. Zoe- You wedding day sounds wonderful bless ds1 carrying the rings how cute cant wait to see some pics. How great do your friends and family sound god when we told ours that we just wanted a small affair it was like ww3 hahaha im so glad you got the day you wanted! Poor baby wyatt sounds like he has a poorly tummy. Im not sure aboutthe mixed feeding there is a lady who comes on here think her name is baby USA and she is great with bf advice maybe she mite know if thats what is causing wyatts poorly tummy. Riley does have a wingy timeat about 8 is till about 10 ish wherre he just ant to be cuddled which is not ideal as this is when i have to get dd to bed so i have to be brutally honest while im sorting her out i do ust put him in his moses basket and let him have a cry then go see tohim as soon as she is settled in bed(how crule am i. jenni- 12 weeks old omg where has that time ggone the weeks are going by so fast im dreading november coming round cuz i got to go back to work on the faaster flow teat thing if hes sucking really hard on the bottle ans dont seem to be getting very far or getting frustrated with it then you could try moving him up a size if its too fast for him it will just gush out of the sides of his mouths. with the tommee tippee bottles they do a vari flo teat which are quite good from 12 weeks they can control how fast or slow they want the milk to come out. J- I am so jelouse of your weight loss you lucky minx. im so ashamed of myself at the mo cant even look in the mirror i need to loose about a stone and a half to get back to pre preggy weight any tipss im eating healthy but its just not shifting. also wat sort of eercises can i do to try and reduce my mummy bulge that just seems to hang like an apron. Great to hear that Lincoln is doing so well. Lea- you too im well done on getting back t weight. how is billy? lol @ being jelous of my sleep it was a complete one off ive been up every 3 h ours since hahaha i cant last much longer can it !?! nik- hope you and alanna are well!! nat- hows your dad doing hun?? BIG WAVES to all our other mummies. I know your probably reading but not able to post check in and let us know how your getting on!! We took dd to a petting zoo yesterday shees such a girl its so funny she hated the smell of poo there. she loveed the play area though so w e had a lovely picnic while she burnt off some energy. when we got home she was knackered and went to bed no problem me and dh have figured out that maybe shes not burnong as much energy since riley has arrived because so much of my time is taken up by him (which i feel ver guilty about at the mo) and thats why she has been playing up. noot sure how im gonna fix it any suggestion???

hi girlies, quick thank you before personals, to zoe for bumpping the bf thead and rach for suggesting it, i had a good read through the thread and links and have had lots of questions answered. jen, i wish i could exercise but due to my split tummy muscles i am very limited to what i can do just now, i am also walking loads too, alanna and i are going for a long walk together everyday (weather permiting), i am not dieting but i am starting to watch what i eat. no more crisps and cakes for me. zoe, congrats on becoming a mrs!!! so glad you had a nice day. what a monkey little wyatt is, alanna is being a lil fuss pot just now too, interesting about the growth spurt!!! it dosen't seem to be restricted to evenings though, she seems to be pretty clingy and whingy through-out her awake hours!! i'm only expressing 5-6 times aday, but often getting more than she needs, i might express 6oz but only fed her 5oz, so all those 1oz are adding up. can i just had about the mix feeding that in alanna's red, development book, under feeding it says that " if you give any formula, it takes 3 days for the bowel to regain the ability to protect against infectons" but thats the only info i can find against mix feeding, i can't see that it might actually upset their tummies. but i read your post on bf thread and so pleased your going to try and maintain the bf. alanna is still exculsivly on breastmilk in a bottle but has a breastfed every now and then, can't seem to get into a routine without expressing though. i think a chart would be a nice idea too, even if it was only updated once a week, i don't have much trouble remembering how old all the babies are, but i maintained the due dates chart for quite a while. jenpen, god knows where the time has gone, hope josh didn't mind his jags too much, i got alanna appt card for her fisrt jags today!!! rach, i've been the same, reading but been unable to post, i have actually been trying to type this post, all day long!! sorry can't really suggest anything to help with dd since i'm only on dd1 but i'm sure some of our 2nd and 3rd time mummies can help you out. got me and alanna both weighed today. i need to lose 45lbs!!! and alanna is now 9lb 7oz, she's put on11oz in 10days.

hi girls mrs zoe - your wedding day sounds absolutely fantastic and so pleased it all went well for you. Can't wait to see some photos. Lochlan has a similar thing to little Wyatt in the evenings - his time seems to be from 7pm til about 11pm where he just screams to be fed ALL the time and seems to have really bad tummy ache. we have taken to giving him a dummy around 10pm to give me an hour off feeding and build up my supply as i have nothing left. i was going to give him a bottle the other night but just couldn't. sounds stupid i know but i just don't want to put him on formula yet. Lochlan is still only doing one big poo a day which i think is part of his problem! i have the midwife coming for her final visit tomorrow so will talk to her about it then. there's so much i've forgotten since last time and it's only been 17 months!!! RJ i feel guilty too that i can't devote as much time to dd - have u a garden she can run around in while you feed etc? my dh is still off work so think dd is going to get such a shock next week when he's not around - mind you, think i am too! best go as am doing this one-handed!! loocyx [

Nat - sorry to hear your dad is still poorly. I have been rooting for you all and hope things improve. Wow, good for you for booking a holiday. St Ives is just down the road from me. You will love it! Have a lovely time. When do you come down? Way to go Bethany! I am so jealous. Loocy - Cora has the same issue at night too. Constant feeding between 6pm-10pm and just generally uncomfortable. Not really screaming just not settled. I must admit, i have contemplated a bottle too so don't feel bad. I am constantly feeding - so sore and just shattered. Let me know how your appointment goes and whether she has any useful advice you can share. Zoe - HUGE congrats. Can't wait to see some pics Nic - Cora is really clingy too. I can't seem to pass her to anyone to get a break. She is a real mummies girl! Well done on the expressing. I will be starting that in a few weeks. I need a break! DH needs to feed too! RJ - Billy is doing ok thanks. He loves her but being a naughty so and so. Testing us constantly. He is more tiring than she is. I feel so guilty shouting at him but have to else he will run riot. I also feel guilty about the spilt in time spent with Billy but it is normal and things will get easier I am assured :/ Jenni - 12 weeks! OMG! I can't believe it has been that long since Josh arrived. I think a chart is a good idea too. Well, we had our last midwife visit today. I was really disappointed to hear that Cora has gained no weight since her 5 day weigh in. She was exactly the same. She has to be weighed again on Friday. I have been worrying about her feeding and my failure to satisfy her and today just solidified that :-( Did anyone elses baby fail to gain between day 5 and 10? Cora is still constantly feeding and I am up every 2 hours in the night topping her up. I can't wait until things settle down a little. Hello to everyone else who may be reading this. I hope you are all ok :-)

Josh lost weight while in SCBU, but he wasnt getting milk so its not really comparable, sorry im no help! Nat - really sorry your dad is still poorly. OHs mum isnt getting any better, and the chemo isnt shrinking her tumours. Fingers crossed for your dad xx

nat, hope your dad gets his chin up too, how nice to have a holiday to look forward too. alanna loves her bath too, she could be screaming bloody murder but as soon as the water touches her skins she is silent and kicks about like mad. shesso chilled out afterwards too and normally falls asleep. rach-jade, dh and i got back too it after 4 weeks but my bleeding had only just stopped and it then started again, ( sorry about the tmi) so we tried again after 5 weeks and we're about back to normal now. don't worry about not feeling like it, i'm still not overly enthusiastic, and it's only been twice!!!!!! abbout the af... im bf so assuming it could be a while, no signs of her yet although my postnatel bleeding only properly stopped 4 days ago. jenpen, you and df didn't waste any time, you randy so and sos. i'll add myself into the chart but don't have time to do anyone else either, so if your baby came before mine, just slot him/her in before alanna
