wow you lot have been chatty today glad to see we're all getting back to normal, bunch of motormouths that we are.

i'm glad everyone had a giggle at my breast pump incident, i've been laughing about it too since i know i'm getting a free replacment. can't wait for dh to come home and go completly mental at me for being a daft cow and then i can tell him all is well!!!

zoe, so sorry to hear about your sister how totally devestating, mkes you realise how lucky we all have been. your wedding plans sound great, i also can't wait to see some piccies. interseting development on the manual pump vs electic, i normally only get 5oz with the electric but just got a whooping 8 oz with the manual, will let you know how it goes over the next couple of days but manual might actually be a bit more productive.
oh and i love 'truly madly deeply, btw.

looocy glad lochlan is getting on well and your dd sounds so sweet, my 12 month old nephew wants to smoother alanna all the time too it's so cute they don't get how fragile the newborns are. love your pics btw what a lovely family you have.

nat ,i got a laugh in return with your garden furniture, WTF indeed, everyone round to nats for a bbq then. hope your dads doing ok.

jenpen, lol at poor wee josh peeing in his mouth, how old was he when he smiled, i'm convinced alanna will do it soon, she looks like she's smiling with her eyes if you know what i mean, it's like her wee face lights up, but i've yet to get a proper smile out of her.

rach, re contraception, i'm with you on not going on the pill, took me 12 months to conceive alanna after coming off the pill, so not doing that until our family is complete, as we're planning another baby in a couple of years we're just going on to condoms just now as we don't want a long term fix that could delay futer baby making, sorry just relised that probably dosen't help at all!!!!

thanks to everyone who asked about alanna's arm, she is doing realy well from what we can see she pretty much uses both arms equally now and it seems to be all better, she has another physio appt on the 4th july so fingers crossed she is dicharged and given a clean bill of health.

Nic - Josh was 10 weeks when he smiled properly, but his development is delayed by around 4/5 weeks because of his prematurity. Most babies smile at 5 or 6 weeks (both my girls did) so i bet she will give you a proper smile any day now!

Ooo yeah looks like we're back to normal on the posting front!! I've missed loads in an afternoon!

Right then...

Rach - are you absolutely sure you don't want another baby? TBH no contraception is any good if you want to conceive again in the future except condoms and the rhythm method (although not many HVs would recommend that as it's open to human error!). If you are sure then go for whatever you like. Personally I can't use the coil - and I have no issues with other people using it - but the nature in which it "acts" gives me the heebi-jeebies!! Forgive me but I'm not sure what DHs health issues are - I must have forgotten/missed the early postings on that. What is the problem? Sorry it sounds like he needs further tests - hope all comes out well. Keep us posted xx Oh BTW - I bought a new iron when I was about 30 weeks or so pregnant - a phillips snazzy one that should have been £70 and was reduced to 29.99 - it halved my ironing time overnight and I find it so easy now I actually quite like it - especially doing it in the afternoon in front of Diagnosis Murder or ER!!!!

Nic - I am convinced Wyatt has smiled already - his whole face lights up and its totally unrelated to feeding times so I'm positive it can't be wind! he is 5 weeks old tomorrow so its totally reasonable to think he's really smiling - bet Alanna is too - as they are exactly the same age! Wierd about the manual pump hey? be interesting to see how you go with that.

Loocy - when my milk came in I cried constantly over nothing for about 3 days! DP didn't know what to do with me!! It'll go chick xx

Going to have to finish this later wyatt is really unsettled and won't stop crying Frowner

Oh my God Bethany is transfixed with the baby chanel on sky, prob not the best thing to do stick a newborn in front of the telly - oh well!!

Zoe - Im so sorry about your sisters baby its awful what happened. I no what you mean about feeling guilty aboout being happy, i no its different with my dad but thats i feel.

Jenpen - Going to watch the video of Josh after this, cant wait xx

Nic - Bethany has only just started smiling and it really annoys me when people say its wind - its not shes smiling Smiler

Rach - I dont want to go on the pill either as it took me ages to get it out my system and fall pregnant but i dont mind if i get pregnant again Eeker

Cant remember who asked about my dad but hes not doing to well for some reason. Im taking him to the hospital tomorrow but he says he is not having chemo, i just hope he is not giving up especially after the good results Frowner

Any way have to go and steralize and make up madames bottles.

Ill be back on tomorrow.

Nat xx

Oh Nat hope he stays positive - he was doing so well with the PMA - lots of (((hugs))) hun x BTW do you make Bethany's bottles in advance? How long can you keep them in the fridge? She's on Aptamil isn't she? Wyatt is gaining weight really well on my milk but I am ashamed to admit that not being able to keep on top of things is really stressing me out - all very well reading all the breastfeeding advice which tells you to ignore the housework and get on with just feeding - but they don't have to worry about getting DS1 to school on time and in clean, ironed uniform!! LOL at you not minding if you fall pg again - I am so glad someone else is broody again already!!!! I thought I was a freak! I just keep thinking about the hyperemisis - be alot easier to handle it if Wyatt is still small..... Wink

Jenpen - I'm off to check out Josh's debut appearance on film! I am gobsmacked how quickly he's growing - and I think he's doing fab for a premie - you'd never think it even when he was born he didn't look from the photos like he was lacking in any way!!!

Can what I eat have given Wyatt a bit of a blockage? He had a real crying fit this am but he wasn't hungry he was straining like he needed a poo bless him and nothing was happening - so I wondered if he was constipated?...Got some photos back that I took on a disposable camera when he was born and I am shocked at how much he has changed already - he is like a different baby!! I'll have to update MSN - his nose is different (he now clearly has my nose not DPs as we originally thought!!)

Does any one know when baby eyes change colour? And how it happens - like is it gradual or overnight? I have blue eyes and DP has brown and at the moment Wyatt has very blue eyes and we're wondering if they will stay that way or not. DS1 is blonde and blue eyed although he has loads of random black hairs in his head so I guess he'll be darker when hes a bit older. Just curious...might try out that freaky babypredicter thing on DHH home page!!

Right got to venture off to Asda now I think get the groceries....what a faff. Might just do a tesco order - too hot to go out really....

Morning Zoe! Josh is doing brilliantly, i agree Big Grin The first week of his life was so scary & stressful, im just so grateful he is fine now! and no, you cant tell by looking at him that he was a wee bit early.

As for eye colour, DD1s eyes started to go brownish/greenish at about 4 months(shes 8 now, and still doesnt have a set eye colour though!), DD2 stayed blue (started off dark blue but got lighter over time) and Josh has got bluer, so im assuming he will stay blue too. I have brown eyes, but have yet to have a brown eyed child!

Onions& oranges can have a slight effect on your milk, but probably only in taste, not enough to "block" him up. Give his tummy a wee massage and see if that helps.

good afternoon mummies!!!

page 3 already haha nice to see were back in our old ways lol

zoe- Massive good luck for tomorrow hun im sure that you will have an amazing day and i cant wait to see the pics. re dh illness about 18 months ago he was diagnosed with tesstiacular cancer but it was a very agressive tumor had it removed a bit of chemo and he IS clear. we just have to go back to hospital every 3 months for te routine tests. Im sure everything will be fine but thats easy for me to say he freaks out when this sort of thing happens. I suppose with the baby thing you can never say never and if we had another wonderful accident then so be it but at the moment i feel like our family is complete. dd was a complete accident i was on the pill with her and it took us 12 months to concieve riley and the chances of us having another is quite slim anyway but i stillw ant something a it more concrete. dh was gonna look into the snip my gp has said tat they wont sterilse me because im young - 24 but i feel 34 at the mo lol. Wahoo on the new iron they are worth it to spend a few extra quid on i love just doing mine with my music on in my own little world haha

nat- lol @ bethany being a tv addict ive not shown riley it yet he seems to like balck and white and shadows if i put the cceiling fan on and the light it moves shadows all across our ceiling he watces it for what seems like ages. I reall hope your dad keeps up his PMA hun sending you lots of HUGS xxxxxxxxx

Nik- what did dh say about the pump. my god to getting 8 ozs your bb's must be humungous lol. I think me dd smiled at about 6 weeks. riley will look at you and get really excited and his eyes just light up so im just waiting for him to beam at me i love the first gummy smiles so cute.

jenpen- josh does look fab wat a big boy aswell. hes gorgeous. hows the house doing?

loocy- 57cm long my god how did he fit inside you bless him. glad to hear your getting on great dd sounds gorgeous.

lea/j- hope your doing ok!

Big waves to all our MIA mums!!!

aww thanks girls...got to head out in a minute for confession (has to be done before the big day....) but I am struggling to think what I can say Eeker
Not that i am a saint or anything (which I'm sure will surprise you all!! Big Grin) but this past few weeks I've been really good!!!!

Wonder how long I will keep forgetting to write DH instead of DP after tomorrow!

Oh BTW - nipped over to check out that new site kate made - been meaning to for months but kept forgetting - its really cool I liked it. Plus I found out where all the old 2wwers like mich sj and my old "lonely so lonely" pals went to! Bizarre! If you fancy it its www.bumples.co.uk (I think).

Rach - gosh didn't realise it was that serious hun - great that he's all clear tho - but men are V sensitive of their tackle so I guess its jno surprise he freaks out when he needs tests etc to check him out these days. You are lucky to have one of each - nice to exoerience both! Mindyou I wouldn't mind if I had 3 or 4 boys to be honest - just happy to have anything at all with my track record!

Nic - thanks for popping on just for lil ol me!!! Big Grin how's the RSI?!!

Jen - interesting about the eyes.....can't wait to see how Wyatt changes over the next couple months - although I have to say I am broody as hell already - he's just so adorable! They only get better looking as they grow don't they bless them so god knows hwo broody I'll get by the time he's 4 months old!!

Right off to be holy.....see you guys later!

hi girls i made it back, we've been out in the car today so alanna is now in the land of nod!!!

nat, i checked out the baby channel after reading your post last night out of curiousity, alanna was not interested in the slightest, i don't think she realises we even have a tv at this point, but dh was quite messmerised with a bouncing beach ball for a while. Roll Eyes

zoe, howd you get on with the pedictor,i tried it when i was pregnant and i remember it looked very weird. hope you thought of something to confess, i'm sure you've not been that good!! the RSI is ok just now, my new parts for my electic pump arrived this morning, but it was the wrong parts!!!! so looks like i'm back to the manual for at least another day.

jenpen, your great to have around you are a wealth of knowledge, where else would i have founf out that onions and oranges are not so good for my milk!!!

rach, when i tld dh i had done something awful he thought i'd smashed the car, so it was a bit of an anti-climax but i did get him going for a while, i m so sad, this is what comes of being on your own with a baby all day.

been a bit quiter on here today, where are all our pregnancy buddies, ali, cherie, ange, teri, pop on and let us know your all ok pleasssssssse.

Afternoon chatterers! I have no idea where you find the time!!! I don't know what I'm going to do when DH goes back to work - still, I have another week of him being here and DD is just loving having him around so much!

Nat - lots and lots of PMA and hugs to your Dad. i guess he will just go up and down and have good days and bad days, but we will all be sending you 'don't give up'vibes to pass on to him.

zoe - have a fabulous day tomorrow. I bet you will look fantastic and can't wait to see photos.

Just wondering about wee man's pooing? he doesn't seem to poo much and it seems to take him forever and a lot of screaming to do anything. I didn't think breastfed babies could get constipated and was wondering if it's just coz my milk's just come in and he's just adjusting to having stuff in his wee system? he screamed last night as if he had colic for about 4 hours but my book says colic doesn't kick in til about 2 weeks?? But, then, bless him he slept for 5 hours and I got some peace and a long sleep hurrah!!!

Let's hope some of the other mummies post on here soon - Lea would be good to hear how you are getting on and how DS his adapting to his wee sister!

love
Loocy xxx

looocy, alanna didn't poo for 3 days once she got rid of the tarry stuff (about days 3-6), don't know if thats because shes breastfed or not, but she got back on track. oh boy did she!

loocy - Wyatt was the same - didn't poo for a few days! Oh and if you remember i went AWOL for about 4 weeks - only just getting time to post now cos Wyatt is going a little longer between feeds and I am a little more organised!

nicnak - it didn't work - how annoying! As for confession - told the priest I had nothing really to report so we sat and gossiped for half and hour Big Grin

Right thats me for the night I am HANGING! SO sleepy!

Love to all xxxxx
