Gorgeous day! Me and DS1 have loved being at the school picnic in the sunshine but Wyatt was grizzly as hell - he obviously doesn't do heat bless him - neither does his daddy so must be a family thing!

Jenpen - I am astounded at your genius! Cool idea! I am so going to do that if I ever have to go very far! I am confused tho - why is Josh doing really well weight wise a problem? Surely the HV should be happy?...

Nic - yes the advice is to change dummies monthly but good point about the bottle teats hadn't thought about that...5lb is loads! What are you doing just eating salad or something? I was tempted to do that Special K diet for a week or 2 - especially if its going to be hot - won't want much more than a bowl of cereal for lunch. Anyway now I have my allotment (yeah! been waiting 2 years on a list for one!!!) I will lose loads digging it over!!

rach/nic - did hpt by the way last week before my brothers wedding as wanted to be sure I was ok to have a few wines...bfn so guess i'm no pg anyway - suppose I could do another using fmu but don't want to waste a test to be honest!!!!

looocy - what a nightmare having to get the bus on a day like today!! I love that age too - its the best!

teri - you are a lifesaver and officially DH's fave person today! Will PM you after this x

well had cramps for a spell earlier but now they've gone again - so wierd this. Mind you I've forgotten what af is like its been so long!!!

Hope everyone well and not wilting in the heat! Love to all xx

teri, well done you getting your root canal, here's a big pat on the back!!! why are you paying for treatment, we get it free until the babies are 1 year old!! Confused

jen, don't worry about josh's weight if he's happy leave him be, in my limited experiance i've found hv to be a complete waste of space, only exception being when she suggested i put alanna back on the boob!

rach your right i have been playing with my wii, but haven't really had much chance alanna is like all the other babies and not liking the heat very much, shes tossing and turning all night so nobody getting much sleep, she just takes her dummy and goes back to sleep though. i was going to start a powermums class this morning, (postnatal fitness that you take your baby to) but alanna and i were both shattered from her restless night so will try and g next week.

zoe i am eatting, honest, just being very careful about what i eat and getting lots of excercise too, i walked 4 miles in the heat yesterday up a massive hill and all, felt like i was going to die by the time i got home, your cramps seem odd if you've had a bfn ad no af, keep us posted !!

loocy yay to lochlan sleeping 7 hours that great i hope he keeps it up, lol at your dd was a wee monster.

nat hope your ok, thinking about you chick. xxxxxxxxxx

right of to bed

we're all suffering in this heat too - Lochlan is right grizzly all day at the minute constantly wanting to feed. My poor little boobs are getting sucked dry!!

jen can't believe your HV has told you off about josh's weight - by the end of the first year my DD had gone from the 25th to 75th centile and they didn't say anything - each HV is different I guess but it's not fair making you feel guilty and trying to get you to put up with a cranky baby. Don't blame you for not telling her about the mush - he'll probably cut down on his milk a bit now anyway if he's taking in some mush!

zoe it is a lovely age but I just feel like I am constantly saying 'no' to her all the time -she must think i'm the biggest bore in the world constantly spoiling all her fun!!!!

teri well done for getting the treatment - I really must phone my dentist and get both me and DD checked - i've never taken her before - oops.

love to all
Loocy xx

Hi all just a quickie as the start of the holls has been frantic! 2 parties today and we've a busy flurry of play dates starting tomorrow and off to Cricket St Thomas sunday - when I'm going to get time to put up my new shed at the allotment god knows! DS1 is thrilled to have his own patch that he announced he is going to fill with pumpkins....fair enough! He was also amazed with the number of baby frogs hopping about the place - he was loving it!

Found out this evening Wyatt has been exposed to measles - several times - without anyone knowing. I am torn between panic and not worrying about it - if he catches it can he not have the MMR in the future? I understod measles was a big deal - anyone enlighten me?

Sorry for lack of personals but lots to do and early start in the morning as off to the allotment before flying off to lunchtime play date and my dads in the evening - manic!

The heat not too bad for us as we on a hill and its loving and windy! Love to all xxx

hi girlies,

been quite on here this week, hope all our awol mummies are ok... cherie, ange, jen, mantha, ellie, oh there are so many of you not posted for a while i could go on all day, i hope your little munchkins aren't keeping you too busy.

not much happening here, i'm feeling rather bored today, dh has buggered off fishing all weekend and alanna is having one of her lazy days and been asleep for most of it, so afetr cleaning, shopping and visiting my gran i've got nothing left to do!!!

teri, boo to having to pay for the treatment but if thats what it takes.. nothing wrong with being a wimp, fortunatly i have never needing root canal treatment but have heard it one of the worst dental procedures you can have so well done you.

loocy hope lochlan is feeling a better and your boos are getting a bit of a rest, alanna is feeling a bit better but it is cooler here today she got a good nights sleep last night. yipee.

zoe, how ar you getting on with the whole measles scare thing? my nephew had measles when alanna was born so my sil didn't get to see her until she was 2 weeks old. hope you've had a nice weekend and not too rushed off your feet.

oh well better go alanna is waking up, just in time for dinner. Roll Eyes

well this thread has just gone all quiet all of a sudden........

Teri - thanks for that info hun -really useful. In theory Wyatt should be immune as mum thinks I may have had it myself but shes had that many children I don't think she can keep up!!

Nic - its suddenly becoming really common...shame really as its easily avoided with the vaccine but everyone got a bit scared with the mmr and all that didn't they?

Well you lot are all boring so off to watch a dvd and stuff myself with snack a jacks!!!!

Morning girls....I am so excited - I ordered my Wii Fit yesterday Big Grin No excuse for being a pig now hey? I will be joining you all in the weight loss challenge as soon as it arrives.

Nic - thanks for the heads up on the pics....I took a peek Big Grin Claire she is SOOO CUTE! I love her hair Big Grin What a sweetie pie you have there. I hope you are both doing well but it looks like she is thriving. All 3 of your girls are beautiful.

Nic - how you doing? Have you got Wii fit yet? I just spent 3 days with the wii consoles site permanently on and it came in stock from sendit.com for 69.99 and was in stock for ages so i nabbed it! Never heard of them before so it had better arrive lol. I am so excited Big Grin

Zoe - sorry to hear about the measles scare. I am sure everything will be ok but I understand your worry. I would be too. There are measles around here too and Billy goes to nursery so I do worry about it too. Enjoy your snack-a-jacks! I hope you are managing to stay sane with the school holidays in full throw ;-)

Teri - sorry you have to have the treatment! What a brave one you are though. I hate the dentist too! I hate check ups let alone something like that. Go you!

Loocy - how you doing? Cora is feeding constantly too. It is so draining isn't it? I guess they are just thirsty. She seems to feed constantly throughout the day (and stays on for 5-10 minutes) but if we go out she will last longer. She feeds at around 9pm and then lasts 6 hours until 3am..then goes down from around 3:45am until 6am so not too bad. By the way, Billy's middle name in NO lol.

Jen - you have a thriving little boy there hey? How can they say he is too big? Cheeky buggers. You are doing a great job!

RJ - Go Riley! What a good weight :-) Cora is 5 weeks now and still only 9lbs 10ozs and she was born 8lbs 13oz. She is a slow starter :-(

Anyway, all is going ok here. I had a few down days hence why I have not been around. I am just drained and all my joints and muscles are aching me. DS has been really testing me and I have found it quite tough and lost my temper a couple of times (never with him...just myself lol). I feel a little better today though. Cora was weighed on Thursday and she only gained 3ozs last week. Her weight gain is so slow. She is 5 weeks now and has only gone from 8lbs 13ozs to 9lbs 10ozs. I am starting to get a little concerned. I am having her weighed again this Thursday and just hope she has gained more than just a couple of ounces. We are lucky she was a big girl to begin with lol.

Right of to get some brekky for DS before madame wakes up (she is upstairs sleeping with Daddy...he does not have boobs so won't last long ;-))

Have a good Sunday everyone.

I forgot to brag....

After 1 day I think DS is potty trained Big Grin He has been in pants all day since Wednesday and he is doing great. He asks to go to the potty and everything. We took him out for the first time yesterday and he asked to use the toilet 3 times....no accidents :-) Although saying that he refuses to do a poo in it so last night we did have a number 2 accident lol. He wears a nappy at night but will get up in the morning, take it off, have a wee on the potty and then empty it in the toilet. He is doing so well. I can't believe I managed to potty train him with a newborn. I feel so prod of myself.

Anyway, enough bragging! Bye x

Lea yea to Billy being potty trained you clever mum you!!! I'm so glad that you've mentioned that as some of my DD's little friends have started potty training and they are only 18 months old Eeker And i am so not starting until I'm sure DD is completely ready!!! One of my friends has been potty training since her son was 15 months and 3 months later she's still no further on - I wonder why she's bothering!!!!

Glad things are settling down with Cora. can i ask a TMI question - are you back on the ol' BD bandwagon yet??? Red Face I just don't see how we've got time at the minute but I'm feeling more and more ready for it - we're moving Lochlan into his room this week as he's sleeping well but keeping me awake with all his grunting, groaning, farting LOL Wink. Perhaps once he's out the room it will be easier!!?!?! Will let you know but was just wondering if i'm the last to get 'back to normal with DH'!!!!!

hope everyone is well

love to all mummies and babies - hope all our AWOL mummies are doing well too - would be lovely to hear from you

xx
