I wrote a big long post last night and lost it :-( I don't have time to do it again...sorry.

I just wanted to send this to Rach. Our health service were really pushing us to get her tongue tie cut. The drs, midwives, breastfeeding councillor and HV. They have been great. I did not really want it done but did so on their advice and due to BFing issues. We took her in today and they wrapped her in a blanket. DH held her shoulders and head and she literally held her tongue up with one hand and cut it with the other using surgical scissors. There was no blood or screams and it was over in a matter of seconds. She got more discomfort from being wrapped up! Her tie was 50% so she had use of 50% of her tongue. Now I can see a huge difference. Her tongue moves properly!

After Cora had hers done a little boy came to have his done (he was a week older than her). His tie was almost 100%! Same procedure and same result.

I really hope you can get Riley's done. It can cause so many problems with feeding etc. If you want it sorted just keep on pushing. How old was DD?

I have a quick question for those feeding formula....which one are you using? I bought Aptimil Easy digest yesterday. She had one tiny feed before bed last night and she was not sick after it. She was sick after her SMA gold. WHich are you using?

Hello to everyone and all please try to imagine my post to you ;-) silly site drives me mad sometimes lol

Lea - We used Aptimil easy digest for Josh, but it really didnt agree with him, he would cry whilst feeding, and seem really unsettled between feeds, even while he was asleep. My Dr told me to change his milk, so now he has Hipp Organic and he changed overnight! He is really settled and enjoys drinking his milk again Smiler

im doing this one handed so not going to be best post.

Lea - i use aptamil and get on well with it i was using sma but it made beth constipated.

zoe- how did you get on making up the bottles of water? I recommend buying powder dispenser so you can measure it out in advance and its easy to take out and about. £2.99 mothercare.

We live in farnborough hants and we have an airshow every 2 years and its started this week, you would not beleive the noise the planes make and bethany just sleeps through them (but woke up the other night when paul sneezed?)

When i got bethany weighed this week she was 11lbs 15oz!!!

Any way gotta go i can smell something fruity!!

Teri - I weaned both my girls at 14 weeks (as was advised at 4 months then) and that is how old Josh is, but he has no interest at all! My DDs were watching us eat, like you say Zak does, and were not satisfied with just milk. Josh is perfectly content with milk, and i even put a dab of bean juice on his lips, and he looked at me like id tried to poison him LOL

RJ - i have the mirena coil in, its not the copper one! Ive heard the copper one can make periods heavier, whereas my mirena stops them completely (which is bliss!) Its supposed to be the safest contracptive (even safer than female sterilisation!!!) but i fell pregnant with Josh with one in Eeker

Well, today i bundled up all Josh's 0-3 months clothes Frowner Was a little sad, but he has some awesome 3-6 months clothes, so its not all bad!

Hows everyones little ones doing on their fronts? Josh really hates it, and is quite crap at holding him, self up to look about. Getting a bit worried about it now!

hi girlies,

zoe wyatt is putting on soem good weight, he's cathing up to alanna, there is only 10 oz between them now and there was 16 oz at birth.

lea, glad cora's tounge tie got sorted out quickly, hows the formula feeding going? i was told by a scbu nuse that they use aptimel on the scb, but i agree with everyone else you should use whatever suits cora. i used aptimel for the couple of bottles i gave alanna and plan on using it as a follow on milk also.

nat, wow bethany is getting big, you'll have to post some recent pictures and let us see how she's getting on.

jenpen, teri, weaning?!?!?! Eeker haven't even thought of that, i forget that your boys were so early and are so far along.

rach, lol at riley peeing on the hv, she must be use to that by now, alanna peed all over the changing mat first time we took her to the baby clinic. good luck with the weigh in tomorrow, let me know how you get on.

well not much to report, alanna is wearing me out slightly with her being awake all the live long day!!!!! at least i can sleep at night but she is exhusting through-out the day.

where are all you other mummies, moomoo, lisa, jen, ali, cherie we need updates on all these wonderful babies, hope you can pop on soon.

Hello everyone

Hope you have all had good weekends?

Just a quick question from me to all those of you who bought the silvercross 3d pram........ Do you like it? I hate it. I find it annoying to put car seat in car, i cant steer it very well because its heavy and the handles feel flimsy. the rain cover doesnt seem to fit properly and if you have to go over any bumps it stops and you almost have to lift it up and over. We have decided to sell it and but a new one. Any recommendations??

Nic - Sorry your so knackered but thank god she sleeps at night.

Jen - Bethany hats it on her front to she looks really uncomfortable on her front. How often and for how long do you put him on his front?

Dont know who was talking about house prices but a 3 bed semi where i live goes on average for about £250 - bloody stupid money.

Where is everyone??

Nat xx

Evening!

Nic - Im not planning on weaning Josh just yet, though he is starting to be very very hungry! Think im going to have to move onto milk for hungrier babies. He has had 4 bottles today, each 4oz and he usually only has 2 bottles, each 2oz! He also had 4 breast feeds! Ill try the hungrier milk, and that should keep us from thinking about weaning for awhile. I really want to try baby-led weaning, and you cant really do that til 6 months anyway. Josh is awake a lot during the day now too, its lovely that he is getting so vocal & moving about. he almost toppled out of his baby bath support today! and when you lay him on the floor, 10 mins later he is across the room, as he shuffles himself upwards lol. Theres a new vid of him on Bebo.

Nat - We try to put Josh on his front for 2 mins, 2 times a day. Im sure thats what i read somewhere. he hates it though, and cries after a minute. He is starting to lift his head a little now though. Sorry, i dont have a silver cross 3d, so no advice here! We have the Graco Quattro, and a stroller thats suitable from birth for travelling.

Is anybodies babies grasping at toys/rattles yet? Josh isnt, but im sure they are supposed to be trying by now!

Jen - I was told to put Bethany on her front for 2 mins 2 times a day so i think we are doing it right. Bethany has started touching her toys that hang from her baby gym, when she touchs them they make a noise and she giggles. She doesnt do it all the time and to be honest i dont even think she knows what shes doing - it could just be a fluke or my imagination.

Well the air show starts properly today so its going to be REALLY noisy here today and for the rest of the week and the traffics going to be terrible!

Hello to everyone else xx

Hi all - manic weekend (again!) as it was my brother's wedding. Had a lovely time and both boys were immaculately behaved (shame the same couldn't be said for our own wedding!!)

Wyatt is really unsettled this morning - I've got nothing done and even now he's in his cot not crying but just "cribbing" from time to time if you know what I mean.

Re formula - Wyatt is on Aptamil - we wanted him to have Hipp Organic but it didn't agree with him - he had projectile vomit and cried constantly so we abandoned it and tried Aptamil - he loves it...but he is having 5 oz every 2.5-3 hours (piggy!) instead of 5oz every 4-5 hours so when this box runs out in the next day or so I'm going to buy the hungry baby one - at the moment he just has the normal First stage one - Lea where are you finding the easy to digest one? Sounds like that could work for Wyatt as he has real tummy trouble bless him.

Nicnak - Alanna and Wyatt seem to be doing the same things which is good to know seeing as they share a birthday - Wyatt is very wakeful throughout the day and wants lots of attention - which is great on one hand but on the other DS1 is obviously feeling a bit put out as he's started to be really naughty at school....I have been called in to see the head later and I am bricking it!

Nat - we live near Yeovilton so I totally hear you on the jets at air show time!! We also seem to have the air ambulance loads lately - it hovers really low over our house looking for places to land - its haorrible to think they are trying to save someone's life and can't bloody land anywhere!! Bottles going really well actually - thinking of getting an electric steraliser tho cos we currently use cold water with milton and that takes 30 mins....with DS1 I always made his feeds for the day in advance and stored them in the fridge - don't see why they have to keep changing the advice they give us!!! It was alot easier with him!

jen/teri - wow your boys are growing up so fast!!! Jen - Wyatt has been very strong with his neck even from birth, the MW and GP thought it was well freaky! Anyway - he lifts his head alot even when we are trying to burb him over the shoulder - he doesn't much like being on his front tho - I think because he has bad tummy alot it probably isn't very comfortable.

Whats the weather doing for you lot? Its really cold here its weird cos on the school run it was BOILING! Now its really chilly. HJoppe it doesn't rain I am so behind with my washing!

ANyone else feeling really emotional at the moment? I am struggling to be honest today - I just want to cry! Eeker I just feel like I don't have enough hours int he day to keep on top of the basics - I am behind big style with the ironing and washing (the weather hasn't helped to be fair) and DS1's bedroom is like a bomb went off in it. Its all just cack. To top it all DH has just informed me that he needs the car tomorrow cos he hasn't got the van as usual so I will have to either try and fit the butchers etc into today's schedule or walk there tomorrow - which takes ages as its the other side of town..... Frowner sorry its all moan moan moan today - I am terrified that I am losing my grip on everything - doesn'ty help that I am worried sick about DS1 - I really think a move is the last thing the poor little guy needs at the moment as he's had to deal with loads recently. AGGGH Eeker why do I feel so crap?!!

Zoe - boo to you feeling so crap! But to be honest, it sounds to me like you are doing too much & expecting everything to be too perfect. So what if Ds room is a bit messy? Get him to tidy it to the best of his ability, then let the rest slide whilst you get a better routine going. Wash the essentials just now, do the rest when you have TIME lol. Thats how i am doing it just now, or else id have a break down! To me, things dont have to be perfect, as long as we are all happy & healthy Smiler I know everyones standards are different, but maybe you should go easy on yourslef just for a little while. Hope i havent offended you!

Josh canhold his head up lovely, he can even sit in his Bumbo now. It just seems to be his chest/trunk muscles, he cant push himslef up very far when on his front.

Anyway, hope you are feeling happier soon! x

I know you are probably right but I just seem to have this morbid fear that if the house looks like a shite tip people will immediately judge that I'm not coping, because my house is always so bloody tidy Pre-baby (when I was bored shitless with nothing to do!) I am not doing that much to be honest - but worrying about not doing it is causing me more problems I think - I'd be better if I got off my backside and got on with it! DH is messy by nature anyway so whatever I do he always comes home and trashes it anyway bless him!!

Get Josh in his Bumbo! How cool!! There's plenty of time for him to do the tummy thing - sounds like he's doing fantastic job as he is! And I guess we should remember he wasn't meant to be quite so early so if he takes his time over somethign thats fair enough right?

Thanks for the honest response! x
