Hi All

Kate1977 - glad your pregnancy is progressing well. Have you got to the stage where they can rule out the intestine protrusion that Ben had? I hope all is well.

We are fine. Anna has been a bit sad when being handed over to the nanny for the past week. Usually she loves going to the nanny but recently she starts to cry in a really sad defeated way, as if she knows there is no point making a real fuss because she will have to go anyway. She just sticks her bottom lip out and sobs quietly. It breaks my heart. However, she seems really happy with the nanny whenever I get home.

Anna has also dropped all her naps except for one 25 min sleep in her pram if I take her out. She never sleeps in her cot in the day (hates it) and never sleeps longer than 25mins in the pram or car. She does not seem tired in the afternoons so I guess that is all she needs. It seems strage though as it feels like EVERYONE elses' babies nap for about 2 hours. She sleeps about 11.5 hours at night. Is this less sleep overall than other babies?

Better go as am at work.

xx

Hi everyone,

Never seem to have time to check in these days.
PJ girl and Kate - hope you are both keeping ok.
I am fine after my miscarraige but it has probably made me even more broody. DH still adament we are not having anymore so lets hope I grow out of this and am not still broody at 60!
Charlie is great. An absolute monkey - climbs on everything and up to mischief all the time. He still has a nap around lunch time for about an hour and sleeps about 11hrs a night so not bad really.

Hope everyone else is well!

Hey girls!

Hope everyone is doing ok?

Kate and pj girl, hope you're both keeping well and have some lovely bumps growing!
Pics please!!! lol

I held my friends 12 week old yesterday and actually didn't feel broody! phew!!!

Fleur is scrummy yummy.....
Goes to bed at 8pm and wakes at 6:30-7:30am and will have a 1-2 hour nap in the day too, so very lucky Big Grin

She has suddenly started talking, saying 'mummy' 'daddy' 'kiss' 'shut' 'please' 'all gone' etc.... it's so cute
She is just cutting her 4th tooth, so has been a little miserable the last couple of days.

Still breastfeeding in the mornings, she will not give it up! lol

As for me have been on a weight loss mission and have now lost 20lbs and also go to the gym 2-3 times a week, so nice to feel like i'm comfortable in my own skin again! would like another stone off, but am sure some toning up is what is needed now!

right will keep checking in, it's lovely to hear from everyone.

bubbly x x

hey there

Thought i would pop on and say hello! Good to hear peoples news although you can definately tell we have toddlers now, no-one gets the time to write these days!

Sam is good...still cheeky but the tantrums have calmed down a bit - for now! He is also crying when I leave him at nursery at the moment - its horrible - but when i get there he is not fussed. And i spend all day feeling soooo guilty!

We are still ttc...was really late last month so i think my cycles are a bit screwed up after the pill this time. Its frustrating but now i have sam I am more relaxed about when we have another. I don't think i am ovulating yet though so i think we are having lots od bding for no good reason!!!! never mind....it will happen eventually I hope.

Work is good but the days are so long i feel guilty about sam, but there is not much I can do as I have to do my share of on-call etc. I still feel pretty rusty after maternity leave - i think it is harder keeping on top of things working part time. Andy is still knackered and fed up with work - he managed to crash his car badly last weekend which gave us a scare, thankfully he wasn't hurt even though the car was written off (i will be buying volvos from now on!) and sam was not in the car, thank god. He managed to plough through a lamppost and across the oncoming traffic, and hit a bollard which stopped him from plummeting into a 10 foot drop into a flooded field. He is having the worst 6 months, i feel so sorry for him.

Anyway, he was lucky and I am just grateful he was ok.

Right - more deadlines for my course so i should stop faffing around and do some work really!!

Tallgirl xxxx

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok. Had my scan a week ago and everything was fine. Baby was wriggling about and everything looked good, had nuchal scan and the measurement was nice and low but my blood test wasn't great so my downs risk isn't as low as it could have been however I'm still classed as low risk. Got triple test in 2 weeks so hopefully that will confirm low risk too.

Hope you're all well. Ben is fine, he's coming on leaps and bounds with learning new words. I use those picture cards and he must know about 50 words now. He still talks his jibberish sentences most of the time though lol!

Now I am having to rescue us too. Where is everybody?

Kate1977 - glad your 12 week scan went well. I hope you can enjoy a stress free pregnancy this time. How is Ben doing?

We are all fine. Our beg news is that we have started TTC. Having "ummed" and "ahhed" for months it suddenly felt right. Before I kept wondering if I was ready and then suddenly I felt ready. There are lots of practical reasons to wait until April but we don't have the patience! So I ovulated yesterday and we BD'd at all the right times and now its just the waiting game. It may well take until April (or beyond) anyway so there is no point trying to micro-manage dates.

Anna is lovely. Kissing and hugging us lots. Chatting away ("elboooow" "kneeeee" "toe-toe" "tum-tum" and "eyyyyeeeee" are her fav words today). She is totally settled with her nanny now which gives me much more freedom. The poor little thing has had antibiotics for the first time this week due to antibiotics, but she seems to be getting better.

Just a quickie to say good luck to Tallgirl and Chloe on the TTC front. Sending lots of baby dust to you x x x x x

I do not seem to get a minute these days Daniel is into everything but just to update you as to pregnancy developments all well 20 week scan today and all seems fine save for a low lying placenta - hope that shifts and doesnt ruin chance of VBAC Mad Also tech seemed to think it was a girl!!!!!!!! I said I would never find out as I loved the surprise last time but I caved in last minute. I was 80% convinced it was a boy.

Hope everyone else is well.

Hi

Sorry I haven't been on for such a long time! We are good here, Abbie is a proper chatterbox! tries to copy everything we say! which is very funny! She is into everything and wants to try to do everything. We went to the park last week and she insisted on going down the 'big kids' slide! She is no longer content with the small toddler things!! lol!

We have been having problems with tantrums though. If she doesnt want to do something (get dressed, nappy change, get in the pushchair/carseat etc etc!) we have a full blown tantrum! it is quite hardgoing and very tiring and I have realised how little patience I have sometimes! I am beginning to learn how to ignore them and she does calm quicker than if I try to intervene! She has\ such a personality on her and a strong mind! Think the teenage years will be fun......

I must admit though, Abbie's tantrums are putting us off thinking about ttc! I just don't know if I could handle Abbie and a new baby at the moment! Think we wilkl wait until the summer (as was the original plan!) and see how we feel then! Really would like her to have a sibling, but dont know if I could cope!!!

PJ Girl - congratulations on your probable pink bump! How exciting!! Have you got any name ideas yet?

Kate - good to hear you are also doing well. Hope your triple test went ok

Chloekate & tallgirl- good luck with ttc! who will be the 3rd bfp!?

Bubbly - well done on your weight loss! I really need to make an effort but just can't stop eating chocolate!! I'm rubbish!!

Well I best go get all the things ready for tomorrow. I promnise to be back soon!!

Take care all

Lynn & Abbie xx

PJ - congratulations on your pink bump. Girls rock. I am really pleased for you.

Kate77 - I saw on yr pregnancy thread that you had a good amnio result and are also having a girl. I am so pleased for you.

Lynnnnn - the tantrums are hard to handle aren't they? Anna is also very strong willed and she totally rules DH and I. We are twisted around her little finger! She is sweet and adorable but also a little tyrant. Half the time I just laugh at her as she screams ans writhes around in fury.

I had forgotten how frustrating TTC is. Its soooo hard waiting to know whether you have been successful. I am obsessing in a way that I thought I wouldn't with my second. I usually have 10 days btw ov and AF. 12 days ago I got ov pains, 11 days ago I got a positive OPK. Presuming I ovulated on the day of the OPK I am now 11 days DPO. I usually only make it to 10 days DPO - AF is one day late. I tested this morning and got BFN.

I have cramps that make me think AF is on its way. But usually these last a couple of hours and then I start bleeding. I have had them for days. Sooooo I am still grasping onto the faint hope that I am pregnant despite the BFN. The box says the tests are 99% effective on day AF is due so I appreciate the hope is faint. Only time will tell.

I wish I could just relax about it....

Hi ladies, its nice to have a little chit chat on here!

Bubbly, Lynn and Chloe thanks for the well wishes re the amnio.

For those who haven't seen on the pg thread my triple test gave a risk of 1:87 for downs although I'd had a good nuchal scan. Anyway I had an amnio on Mon which was fine, the build up was far more scary. And baby is fine and is a GIRL! just taking it easy as have been quite achey. Thank god for my doppler!

Ben is fine, is doing great with his words, no sentences yet. He too has tantrums, they are not too bad and can be funny at times. He's a mad postman pat fan and wants to watch the dvd's all the time. As soon as he wakes in the morning you can hear him saying powman pat its so cute!

Good luck to tallgirl and Chloe ttc, I keep coming on here to check for news.

Take care all

Kate x
