hi everyone,it's nice to this thread is getting busier now everyones settled their little ones in. PJ - My baby was like that at night untill about 4 weeks old, now she sometimes sleeps from 11pm till 5.30am. I just read that theirs no point trying to get into a routine untill 6weeks old as they are still so tiny they need the feed at night. I have still been doing the breastfeeding, at first I only wanted to do it up till 6wks, but now I have got used to it and it's a lot easier, so I'll just carry on for now. Amelia likes it and she is growing well, she is a vey happy little girl. I'm nerly due for my 6wk check, does anyone know what this involves? cris x

Kate - you asked how i keep Katie awake - i don't !!!!! She will often sleep for the majority of the day but then has a wakey time in the evening - if she does then she tends to go off easily after her 10pm bottle and then has a good sleep. If she sleeps before that feed then she seems to want to be awake for the 10pm - 2am stint which is not so good!!!!! Like you say with Ben if she wants to sleep there is nothing i can do to keep her awake! A couple of times we have been out during the day and she has been due a feed whilst out in her carseat on the buggy chassis. It seems that once she is in the seat she just won't wake up!! Twice she has gone nearly 3 hours over her feed time despite me trying to wake her! We have had her out of the seat and changing her and doing all sorts but she just seems to be out for the count! She makes up for it later in the day though by cramming in an extra feed! Lynn - Katie has been a little constipated too - my HV last week said to give cooled boiled water with a drop of our normal apple juice in it - she said 2oz water to one teaspoon apple juice. This does seem to have helped her a little - i've been giving her some mid morning and again mid afternoon - hope this helps! Anyway as i have said on the pg site, I may not be around for a while as the computer has a major problem with it and it isn't working properly! The only thing i can get on am the mo is the internet! So anyway it is going off to DH's office computer team to decide whether it can be fixed (again) or whether it is to be condemned and another one ordered!!! So either way it will be gone for a couple of weeks probably! I'll be totally suicidal by then as somedays it is the only way i get to speak to a grown up at the moment!!!! Love to all Karen and a 5 week old Katie!!!!! xxxxx

Hi girls, Sorry not been around for a while. I have got mastitis and feel really poorly. I have also been having a few computer problems. I have tried to catch up as best I can but I have probably missed loads. Carla - I have looked at my bits too - yuk! When do they go back to normal? I am also still bleeding on and off did not bleed 4 so long with ds1. Charlie is great but not letting me have much sleep at night. He is also very windy and I cannot get any wind up at all in the night. I am thinking of looking into cranial massage I have heard that it works for colic. Will try 2 keep in touch! Chele

Hi! Chele, sorry to hear you have mastitis, you poor thing, it's horrid. I've been really paranoid about getting it as i had it with both my boys and was quite poorly too. Hope you feel better soon, big hugs. Karen, Hope you get your computer fixed soon! I don't know what i'd do without you girls and no computer! Lynn, my dh went back to work today too! I really didn't want him to go and he didn't either! he has been such a great help since the arrival of fleur, it makes me wonder how i'm gonna cope?! Ethan is at nursery until 12:30 so thats something and fleur is sleeping at the mo, i've done my washing up and put a load in the washing machine, but doubt very much anything else will get done today. You should be taking it easy anyway after having a c-section! go and put your feet up!! It makes me laugh when i hear what fab weights all your little ones are at, but my little one is so big!! On day 11 she was 10lb 3oz!! she really is a porky madame, my mum says i was exactly the same! Carla, it isn't a pretty sight down there! lol I had a prolapse with ethan (no2) so will be having a internal check at 6 weeks incase anything needs stiching up, but really have to work hard at those pelvic floor exercises!! i've been refered to a physio to help and see if i can control things without anyone having to do stiches! i really hope i can do it. Just keep exercising!!!! lol Hi to everyone else, hope to be back on later. Oh and has anyone shopped online with Kiddicare before?? I have seen some bits i want to order, but feel quite paranoid after all the trouble people have had with other companies. Any info would be great! take care all, bubbly and fleur x

Hi all Hope all new babies doing well. Just copyiong post I have left on August thread.... No developments as yet. Midwife came yesterday and took blood pressure again and it had gone up, protein in urine and I had suffered headaches so she referred me to hospital. Protein had increased when got there, blood pressure still high so they had consultant see me to see if cervix was favourable for induction. He did internal and membrane sweep {Oooooouchhhhhhh} that was not leasant. Luckily I did not have to stay in but they have booked me in for a scan this morning to check bean ok, and want to check urine, blood pressure and they should have blood tests back they took yesterday. If blood pressure still high and protein etc... then will need to see another consultant to see if they are prepared to induce me or leave me for a few more days. I am hoping either way that the membrane sweep might take effect iof they are not prepared to incduce me. I have it at about 6.30 yesterday. For anyone else that had this how long did it take? I know you had it Jay did it take a while? Anyhoo thats up to date from me. Got scan at 2.40 so will just be taking it as it comes - hoping some developments one way or another. Hope everyone else if ok. Dont think starlite been on for while - are you off having your baby????? Good luck if so. Will keep you posted PJ Girl x

Cele, I was finding it hard getting Ben's wind up too, I fould infacol really helps, he does some really impressive burps!!! I still have to take a long time winding him, usually 5 mins in the middle of a feed and 10 mins after. Sorry you have mastitis, I'm paranoid about that too. Bubbly, I keep forgetting to do my pelvic floor exercises, I kept forgetting when I was pg too. How is everyone else getting on with them? PJ girl, good luck for the scan, hope the sweep gets things going. The day before my induction when I had an internal exam it sent me into very early labour and I dilated 2-3 cms overnight without really realising so there's hope. Carla, how is your dog getting on with mason being in the house? Sid is great, after the initial interest he's now great. He keeps popping his head over the side of the moses basket to check Ben is ok! Hi to everyone else, well had a good night last night, Ben slept 12-3.45am, 4.30-6.30am and 7.15-8.45am and went down no probs after each feed. Sunday night was horrendous though and we didn't get him to sleep until 3.45am! I wonder what tonight will bring!!!
