hi everyone
grow bag egg, forgot to say, i have one. mine is usually orange and it sometimes turn red, but even when it seems cold it never turns yellow. but Amelia only has a thin fleece blanket so she is not too hot. At first she was too hot and got a spotty rash but it is going now, but the HV said it was caused by the hormones not the heat.
anyway, last night i was so ill, did a breast feed, left boob was so painful, carryed on anyway. after the feed the boob blew up and was hard, I was shivering and the pain was so bad I could not hold my baby - this really upset me and i couldn't stop crying. then i expressed some milk and went to sleep. dh gave her milk in a bottle. i feel a bit better now but my boob is really red and sore. looks like an infection, i dunno what to do...?
oh and it is about 2 cup sizes bigger than the other boob now.
hope you guys are all ok.

Hi Cris hun, Just read your post sounds like you have mastitis hunny you need to see docs asoon as possible as you will need tratment untill then you could you use cold flannels and best recommended by midwives is cabbage leaves not sure why but they sware by them but you really do need to see doctoras you may need antibiotics. Mastis is caused by blocked duct so you really do need to empty the breast so if you cannot feed on it put some warm flannels on the breast and express the warm flanel helps your let down of milk, and massage the breast all round whiile expressing to amke sure the milk sacxks are empty when you have finished use cold flannel on you breast to releive inflamation and swelling hopw you read this and hope it helps you but do see a doctor soon take care hun love sharonxxxxx

Hi ladies, Sorry I have not been around I just never seem to have time. Charlie is still a nightmare at night so I am really trying to catch up on some sleep during the day but it never seems to work! Believe it or not he now weighs 12lb 4oz. He is already in 3-6mth clothes. What happened to my little baby? He is still in proportion though so doesn't look like too much of a whopper just yet - he is very long. Cris - I had mastitis 3 times with ds1 and I was so poorly. I ended up with antibiotics each time. I thought I could fight it myself the last time and it seemed to disappear at first but came back twice as bad so just be careful - I would see a doctor if I was you. Charlie also farts like a trouper and poohs for England. He gets really bad wind and keeps drawing his feet up and straining. I have heard that drinking fizzy drinks whilst b feeding can cause wind - has anyone else heard this? I can't get on msn at the moment, it keeps saying my password is wrong, I have even reset it but it won't work! My laptop is really playing up at moment but I have checked it for virus's. Carla - hope Mason's ear is better Speak soon Chele

Hi Chele, Very quet on here at mo you can tell everyone is rushed off their feet with babies. Are you eating a lot of onions or garlic as my midwife told be these are a big contributer to wind problems in babies and that they should only be consumed minimum also spicy foods too, not heard about the fizzy pop though. Charlie sounds to be doing really well have you tried to introduce a bottle for his last feed on evening he may settle and not have you up so much plus dh could feed charlie it and give you a rest you must be shattered though i do envy you for your peresaverence you have done extreamly well. There is many times when breast feeding that women express milk for a bottle feed ie when they go to work or even if you were going out for a drink so it is fine for him to have the odd bottle feed. Leland is doing well though def more settle on bottles takes 4 1/2 oz feeds i do sometimes top up with breast and he still does have the occasional comfort feed so i am still doing a bit my self and expressing some too to keep my milk in but i am happy to do that at the mo, not sure how much he weighs at the mo he is getting weighted on 28th but he seems to be filling out in the face alittle and def feels heavier so we will see . Other than that all is well still bleeding though which surprizes me has i have never bled this long but i am well in my self just rushed off my feet with the kids been on hols so roll on school as they are all getting fed up bored and fighting alot at the mo which is driving me nuts. anyhoos take care will catch up soon sorry for long post or essay should i say ..lol Love

Hiya, Sharon & Chele, it has been quiet on here, but I think you are right, everyone is rushed off their feet looking after the babies. Little Joe is MUCH more settled now we are mainly bottle feeding. Still doing the boob morning, tea time and sometimes at night. Sharon, you say you are expressing to keep your milk, does this work? I am thinking of doing it as I am sure I am making even less milk now. Sometimes get sharp pains in nipples too??? Was so stressed in pregnancy over Dad and everything, I really dod not do that much baby shopping, but made up for it yesterday in the babies r us store. Aftre trying Joe in my friends electric swing, decided against it and got a vibrating boucy chair which he seems to LOVE. Finally got the camera back with photos from the hospital on. I will load a couple on MSN (hopefully today! LOL) Can't beleieve how much he's grown already! Anyway must go, DH home for the day and we are going for lunch somewhere... love silky xxxxxxxx

Hi all
Sorry I haven't been around for a few days, the days just seem to be flying by! By the time we are all up and dressed its almost time for lunch! I couldnt imagine looking after other children at the same time, I'm still learning!
We are getting on really well though, Abbie is now 7lbs 6oz over a pound more tha when she was born. We have upped her feeds to 120mls now and she guzzles it down every 3 hours! She has changed so much since she was born and is getting little chubby cheeks now, so cute!!
Cris - I'm jealous that Amelia is sleeping for such a long time at night! It must be great to get such a long sleep!
Silky - we have a vibrating bouncy chair and she loves it too, it really settles her down
Sharon - I'm still bleeding too, its very slight but I thought it would have well gone by now, especially since I had a c/section!
We have a room thermometer in the nursery and even when it seems cool in there to me it says its too warm!
Anyway, m,ust dash, dh is bathing Abbie at the mo and shes screaming the place down, she definitley isnt a water baby!
Love Lynn & Abbie xx
