Hi girls,
Sorry being so quiet. Feeling a bit like a zombie at the moment.. I think the last 6 months is catching up with me now. And the boys are being a bit tricky at the mo and have decided they're not that keen on sleeping in the day.
Still determined to commence weaning tomorrow so am going to get cooking in a bit to get a stash of cubes in the freezer.
Anyone else had probs with teeth and breastfeeding?? Never had any with Daisy and she had about 6 teeth when I was still feeding her. But... Jake has bitten me 3 times in the last 2 days and if he keeps doing it I'll have to give up Frowner I can't tell you how excruciatingly painful it is!

Will have to read back as not had a chance yet.
Glad you had a nice b'day Zoe.. and you got my email ok Smiler
Hope everyone is ok. Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Summer
I had that when Liberty first got her teeth, she bit me a couple of times and it was really sore-there is a link here hopefully for what to do but Liberty stopped after a couple of days or so once she got used to the new teeth. When baby bites

Hopefully that is useful to you, my boys never bit at all, infact the youngest had really no bother at all with his teeth but Liberty is completely different-perhaps its a boy girl diference or just the every baby is diferent thing. i know the 2nd 6 months is proving much harder sleepwise than the first!!!

Hugs x

Hi girls

The meal was lovely thanks..........got a little bit tipsy...but not too badly!!! Red Face Cool.....having said that I did have a bad hangover the next day..........that's red wine for ya!!!.

Summer .sorry the boys are being difficult with their daytime naps......you more than anyone needs a break during the day........don't know how you cope!
Do they tend to sleep at the same times if they do have a sleep during the day?

I had to drop Martin off at Winchester train station this morning and I saw a gorgeous pink floral dress in that little shop window at the bottom of the hill..next to a hairdressers I think ? Any ideas what that shop is like generally? Only saw it as I sailed past but it looked lovely!!!!
Got a thing about pretty dresses at the moment.....can you tell ? Bored of wearing jeans all the time especially when the weather is nice!

Ali....glad your PC is ok........its a real nightmere when they play up isn't it? Mine always has something wrong with it..in fact it finally went a few weeks back and now I have another equally crap one....takes 5 minutes to refresh each page ( slight exaggeration but you get my point! )
Oh I will mail you my email...if that makes sense!

Babyusa....I have to confess I was selfishly on birthday mode all weekend and kind of made little effort with Fathers day for DP....ooops.......well I've always found it so annoying that it's so close to my B'day!!!! tee hee....totally inconsiderate!!!
Luckily the kids made cards at playschool so I didn't bother this year ( was that tight?!!1 ).......though usually I do get cards from each of them.
Sure he will have a few pub trips at our local during the week to make up for it!

Hope everyone else is ok

xxxxxxxxxx

Where is everyone!!!!!

Not much exciting going on here, we went to baby signing again on Monday which was fun, although Liberty was so fascinated by the other babies I don't think she even noticed the whole signing thing!! She is now getting tooth number three coming in at the top and has taken to waking at 2am and will not go back to sleep for an hour-very frustrating but maybe its because of the tooth! She has also learned to play peek a boo herself which is very cute, especially when you can see her peeking as she has completely missed covering one eye!!!

Hope you are all ok-Summer, has the biting eased??? I've had a few nips myself with this new tooth. Eeker

Not sure Baby....where are you girls?!!!

Had a browse last night and saw that I was last person to reply the day before so thought I'd be slightly sad if I replied to myself!!! Big Grin

Anyone sad like me and into Eastenders? I was on the edge of my seat on monday night !!!

Baby.....
Violet slept through all night last night....first time in ages but I'm not counting my breath as she went to bed very late last night ! Roll Eyes
I do think it's all down to the teeth though as Violet started to wake lots during the night and then her two front teeth surfaced. I think it's down to the pain but mostly that they want extra comfort. Hope Liberty settles soon for you.
And what a clever girly playing peek a boo!
We've said ' Ta' to Violet a few times and she's copied us but still not sure if that was a fluke or or not ?

Mabel has her second induction afternoon at primary school today............so she's full of herself right now. Think I'll be mean Mummy and get them into bed earlier tonight as all 3 of them refused to sleep until after 10 last night because we went out in the car late afternoon and all of them slept!!!

Right best go as I have a very grizzly baby on my hands.....milk time I think!

Hi Zoe
thats really cool that Violet is trying to talk too-I can't believe how quickly they pick things up-that was my main reason for trying baby signing as when we go to Seaworld they do a hand waving thing at the Shamu show and Liberty picked it up and does it whenever we say Shamu to her!!! Also we only have to start If you're happy and you know it and she starts to clap!!! I can't believe how quickly she is growing up though Frowner in some ways it does make you broody!!!!-not too much though LOL

Hope you have a great night's sleep again tonight x

Hi girls

Sorry I haven't been round for a while - I'm just cr*p at the moment!!! I seem to be always rushed off my feet and not really sure why!?!?!

Hope everyone is ok - Babysigning sounds fun Baby - I've heard it's really amazing how they pick it all up. I've used certain hand-signals with my dd and ds (like turn around and the like) but that was purely me making it up. Darcey now goes to tumbletots, which she adores and now that she is crawling and starting to cruise around, it gives her a great outlet for all her enthusiasm. She managed to crawl all the way through a pop up tunnel (which must have been about 10ft long) on Wednesday and got given a certificate for it - I was soooo proud of her!!!

Hi Zoe and Summer - hope you are both ok. I'm sorry you're feeling so knackered Summer. Quite how you have managed to get this far and stay sane is incredible!! Does that mean that Mabel is going to start full time in Sept Zoe?? You won't know what to do with yourself with only two kids around during the day!!!

I think our top two teeth are on their way but so far it hasn't effected D's sleeping - plenty of time though! She was really grotty last week though so you never know. She's started saying "dair" (or that's what it sounds like) to everything which I am taking as "there" and she says dada alot - sometimes in context (which I am currently encouraging coz I figure that if she always calls for daddy it lets me off the hook!!).

Anyway - sorry not more personals - hope everyone else is ok and will chat soon.

Take care.

Ali

Hi Girls!

soz i have not posted, i was away at the weekend and it has been really busy at work for the last few weeks. i anticipate it will be for then next couple as well!

zoe, yes i am into eastenders and i know what you mean about edge of your seat stuff! when i hear you lot talking about the probs you had when teeth came through i get really worried. we still don't have a single one yet and i dont want any disrupted nights! it has been fantastic so far and i do worry it could all be the calm before the storm.

baby, arn't they cute when they clap! it is lovely how quickly they learn things. lennon blows kisses, the trouble is he does it whenever you tell him he is a 'good boy'! i must have said that more than saying 'blow kisses' when he was learning it.

summer, hope you have stopped being bitten now! i did not have that prob as there are still no teeth yet and lennon weaned himself off the breast a few weeks ago. i am still waiting to hear when you are in thats life. it cannot be that far of now surley!

hi to everybody else, peardrop, sarah, ali - are we having more comp troubles ali? or is that new crawler stopping you from getting on the comp? it just seems like a long time for you!

well i bought a new toy for lennon to encurrage him st start pulling himself up. his attempts are still only in the bath or when he is sat somewhere softer that the floor. trouble is these are all the more dangerous places, off beds and chairs, or his change table so i cannot really let him be too independent. the new toy seemes to be working a little for the 10 mins he has used it. he reaches further forward than normal and had wound up falling on his tummy a few times.

anyway, off to watch BB (possibly the other reason i have not made it on here as much as i should have.

speak soon

Marie

Hi Marie!!

Tumbletots is a national franchise (look on the internet under Tumbletots UK) which has branches all over the country (or most parts anyway) and goes from 6months (Gymbabes) right up to about six or seven (Gymbobs). There are different classes for different ages and each stage has a slightly different emphasis e.g. Gymbabes is 6mths to walking, then there is walking to 2, 2 to 3 and so on. I did it with both dd and ds all the way up to when they started school and I think it really teaches the children to climb safely (e.g. they are taught how to come down safely by turning around) and co-ordination skills and the like. Also all the groups I've been to (coz of moving around the country a few times) have been really friendly and I am still in touch with friends I made when Rachel started Gymbabes 8 years ago!! Anyway - advert over - the bottom line is that D seems to enjoy it and it's something to do!!

Speak soon.

Morning Ladies
I am so tired, Liberty is now getting BOTH top teeth and last night was really hot and snotty, not sure if it is because of teething or she has got a cold. Anyway she wake evry 45 mins until 4am, then my DH took her for an hour then I fed her again at 5 and she finally let me get nearly 2 hours but needless to say I am feeling really tired now and I have to open our shop in 2 hours as DH has gone to pick up an arcade machine, at least he has taken 2 of the kids with him though-I am just left with 'Kevin and Perry'LOL and Liberty of course.

Be back later x

Hi Ladies
Sorry I have'nt been around for a while but things are really hectic with work & Joel is doing two afternoons a week at Nursery, And I am so shattered at the mo.....

I hope the breastfeeding is sorting itself out Summer!!! & Baby good to hear Liberty is doing so well.

So how many teeth do all the babies have now Joel has 8, 4 on the top 4 on the bottom he cut his quite early on 1st two at 20 weeks & non since middle of April but saying that he doe'snt crawl as yet but claps at every chance LOL... Had our 1st trip to A&E last week & he wears his bruise with pride fell out of his chair but seems totally unaffected by it all I got the grilling of my life from a male nurse but as long as Joel's fine I can cope with things.... I ain't been too good weight still dropping off even though i stopped lemons months ago gp concerned & just had some bloods done dropp 6stone 10lbs since having Joel, apart from feeling shattered I am ok though but I also have two friends at the mo who both have breast cancer & are going through their treatments so I keep strong for them.

Not much else happening here apart from work LOL......

I will try & read some more pages later or at least try & keep up now lol.

I hope everyone else is well Speak soon

Evening all!!!

Goodness Joanne - I can only echo Baby's words - you have done fantastically well with your weight loss. Can I ask what you weighed before and what you weigh now (in stones - can't do kg!!) - if that is terribly personal then please tell me to get lost, but losing 6st is amazing!! I tried the lemons for a while, but got bored and stopped, but I told a friend of mine and she is doing it and swears by it!! Sorry to hear about your friends - that's tough to deal with - and hope your bloods come back ok. Darcey only has two teeth so far and although I always say the next one is on the way, so far we have nothing to report!!!

Hi Baby - I'm not looking forward to D getting the top teeth if she's going do a "Liberty" coz I've got used to sleeping again!! Hope you're feeling a little bit more human now. What kind of shop do you and dh run?? How old are "Kevin and Perry"?? My dss is nearly 12 and is beginning to grunt at us so I guess the teenage years are imminent!!

Anyway - I'm off to bed now - dp is working lates tonight so I get the bed to myself for a while - bliss!!

Take care all.

Hi Ali
Kevin and Perry, otherwise known as Jordan and Thomas are 10 and 11, Jordan is DH's eldest and Thomas is my eldest, there is 11 months between them, then there is Jake who will be 9 next month (DH's) and Tiernan who is 7 (mine). Liberty had a much better night, sleeping a couple of hours at a time and seems much happier this morning-she really seems to suffer when these teeth come through-don't worry though Mosh, Thomas got his first tooth at 15months and none of them ever bothered him, Tiernan's was around 8/9 months I think and you would never have known he was teething either so I guess I was due a bad teether this time.

Our shop is an antiques store which is a joint venture between us an the inlaws, neither DH or I enjoy it and unfortunately we are closing the store at the end of the month as this year the church of Scientology opened a couple of doors down (where we live is Hicksville and the middle of the bible belt so there has been a huge uproar about it) and the year before one of the larger antique markets on the street burned down so the area just isn't working anymore-this now begs the question of what we will do when our visa runs out in November as it was linked to the business.

Got to run now as Liberty id disappearing behind a chair-AGAIN!!!

Back later x
