Hope you all enjoyed your wine the other night girls Lol

Glad to hear that Harry's appointment went well Erica although still scary prospect of surgery when he will still be so little. Sounds like he's a tough little guy though (or not so little now).

How are you feeling now Peardrop? When's your apt with the MH? Hope you are doing ok hun, I do feel for you. Glad the scan went well last week and good on you for resisting the temptation. I would never be able to keep it a secret if I knew, so I would be better off not knowing if I wasn't allowed to tell the world. How's your sickness now?

How was the weekend with out DSS Ali? How was Joseph & Greece. I bet you had a lovely time.

Sorry Mosh I don't know what Tyler's height is although we have an apt next Thurs so should find out then. Is Lennon still wriggling around his cot every night bless him?

How are you getting on with bedtime Zoe? Any better this week?

Hi Baby how are you?

Well we might have bedtime licked but daytime sleeps are driving me mad Tyler sleeps in his pram in the day as he screams if I try to put him in the cot. He has always needed rocking off and although I have periodically tried to get him in the cot in the day, I give up cos it just takes too long and then he only sleeps for 1/2 an hour anyway. For some time now he has been going off to sleep by himself in the pram during the day but recently he has started crying again and needing rocking and it seems to be getting worse. I have just left him crying and he has gone off to sleep after nearly 40 minutes. I am getting really fed up with it cos I seem to spend half my day trying to get him to sleep. I really feel as if I don't get anything done at all as when he is awake he wants my attention all the time. I end up with 3 little half hours in the day to do anything, including shower, prepare meals, clean up etc. I really think if we weren't going away in less than 2 weeks that I would go insane. At least I won't mind if his routine is messed up when we go away will I!

Sorry about that little rant ladies but feeling a bit at the end of my tether this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day.

Hi Sarah
Tyler could be changing the amount of naps he needs? I think its a common age for them to switch to less naps perhaps one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I know Liberty suprised me and changed her naps during the day recently. She has 2 meals a day most days now too-messy jobs though as she is stubborn and has to try to do it herself. She gets really fed up if she has to stay still for too long now. We did baby signing yesterday which she enjoyed although it might have been because she got to terrorise the other babies!!

Summer-am I remembering right that with Daisy she had part of her cord left on that didn't fall off? When I was changing Liberty yesterday it looked like she has a bit left and I couldn't remember what happened about it? Zoe did you have something similar?? I know we talked about it but apart from that I'm a bit clueless!

Enjoyed the wine the other night girls (ok the last 3 nights!!) must do it again sometime!!!

Hope you all had a nice weekend

Morning girls

Exciting day today as Mabel is off to her ' big school' for a few hours this afternoon and for the next three wednesdays!!! Its only for just under 2 hours but she is so excited!!!

Babydust........sorry you are having trouble with Tyler and his naps.......I had the same thing with Mabel.........I used to push her back and forth in her pram in the kitchen until she'd sleep!
He may be getting over tired aswell which makes it harder for him to settle and go to sleep.

As Babyusa mentioned...he may need a little sleep in the morning and one after lunch. When he is crying for ages and not sleeping have you tried him with another warm milk?
Violet has a pattern of wanting to sleep roughly 2-3 hours after waking in the morning.....so if she wakes at 6.30-7 then she'll deffo be ready for a nap at 09.30-10 ish... ( if I didn't ahve to take the kids to playschool at 09.30 I think she's resist going to sleep and then get overtired but luckily the car journey sends her off )

I think you are right to not allow him to sleep in his cot during the day as it may confuse him and he may think it's proper bed time ( if that makes sense ).maybe that's why he doesn't settle....I know Mabel was just the same and its so demorilising (sp? ) to stand there rocking them for ages only for them to only be alseep for half hour!! Eeker Mad

I find that Violet will easily and happily sleep in her buggy if I'm in the garden........especially if I walk her around.
If Tyler keeps crying and won't settle I'd try another warm milk or warm water to soothe him.
If you just leave him to cry as long as he's not crying continuously and getting into a state then I'd leave him for a bit to settle himself........a tired cry is usually one that stops and starts rather than continuous..

What about the car ? Have you got one and could you get him to sleep in that first ( trip round the block )and then bring him in in his car seat for you can get on with things?

Maybe try the ' getting him off to sleep 'process before he starts getting grizzly and over tired....so maybe after 3 hours of being awake in the morning pop him in the buggy ( even if he doesn't appear to be tired ) and have a walk or push him up and down and then see. Violet is really hard to get off to sleep if she is oevr tired.

I know with Mabel I just never recognised when she was tired and that was half the problem!!!

Babyusa....hi hun......I think it was Summer that had the belly button problem with Daisy.........wasn't me I'm afraid so not much use to you!
I know all about the mess hun.....feeding times Eeker Eeker Eeker.........what a mess........especially now I'm still hand washing bibs and tea towels until our washing machine gets fixed!!!

Right off to make tea.....anyone want one?

Back later

Don't drink tea Zoe but I'm making coffee!!!

Poor you handwashing-I could not live without my washing machine-I wash pretty much every day with my lot-sometimes 4 loads a day if I've skipped a day! The washing machines here are much larger and quicker though, about 30mins for a load Smiler

Babydust-I second Zoe on the walk in the buggy to sleep-it won't help you get things done to start with but as you make it routine Tyler would fall asleep quicker in it after a while-not sure if this is an option for you? I used to walk to the shops with one of the boys so got my exercise at the same time!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE

Hope you have a really nice day today-are you doing anything special? Did you get any nice pressies? Good for you doing all that walking-I would love to do some walking but I'd be like mother duck with my lot trailing behind me-not sure I'd get any speed up to do any benefit either, its 90 here by 9am (about 30C) so its also a bit too hot! Maybe i will pop on my treadmill for a bit though.

I second the very quiet on here thing I guess these babies are taking up alot of our time and attention.

Pop back later

Girls, girls, girls

I am soooo sorry I haven't been on for a while - have had major computer stresses (which I now seem to have sorted coz I got so cross I just pulled out the plugs and it seems to be ok now - typical!!)

Anyway.............

HAPPY BELATED 32nd BIRTHDAY ZOE!!! I did try to send you an e-mail but I'm not sure that I have the right address anymore (can you let me have it again please hun??). Glad you had a good day and hope that you have a fab meal out (it's sooo long since I had a meal out without kids that I've forgotten what to do - I'd probably still end up ordering something that I know the kids will pick at rather than something exotic that I actually like!!)

Hope everyone else is ok - sorry for lack of personals but it will take me a while to catch up. Suffice to say that I hope you and the babies are all ok and doing good - xxx

Darcey is now crawling - started on Tuesday and is now doing it a breakneck speed, has started the onslaught on the stairs and is trying to pull up on anything and everything (guess now that she can crawl she has ticked that box and is now ready to move on!!)

Love to all and speak soon.

Ali

Hi Ali-I was wondering where you had got to. Liberty was the same as Darcey with crawling, she started one day and then was only happy when pulling herself up. We don't have stairs thank goodness but she goes and hides round the back of chairs and pulls things up to the stairgates to stand on!!! Did you have a camping themed weekend? How was it? DSS1 went to friends for a sleepover last night and we have had a peaceful day while he stayed there.

What has everyone planned for fathers day? I made a point of getting DH pressies to put the keyring I got to shame LOL and then I think he is going to have a Wii tournament with the kids-should be fun.

Anyway, must go and get something to eat-probably chocolatey as I have major PMT I think-anyone else turn into the b**ch from hell????
