Hi Girls Peardrop-Alfie is so cute and I have to agree you look very glamorous!!! Ali-how's it going? I have been looking at a good breastfeeding site that Bidee from 2WW recomended kellymom.com i think it is? you can get answers and support quite quickly on the forums there. Zoe-they have a lot more shots here, Hep B series and chicken pox are additional to the uk ones. Personally I would worry more about what they can catch if they aren't vaccinated- Liberty comes into contact with school age children through her brothers alot and more so when I start working. Here it is very difficult to get kids ito a regular school if they haven't had their shots!! That said I am dreading her next appointment as she is due her first major round of them!! It has been cold here for the first time this week-I had to put long sleeves and trousers on Liberty for the first time!!! Got to finish now-the milk monster is calling-new pics of her on msn in a minute!!! love Baby usa x

How you all doing?? Reached rock bottom yesterday - D wouldnot settle all day and ended up screaming all evening. Dp got home from work at 11pm by which time i was a snivelling wreck!!!! Then took us until 1am to get her to go to sleep. Upside was that she then slept until 6.30 this morning!! Today it's as if nothing happened and my sweet little girlie has returned!!! Got me completely flummoxed (sp!!!) - hey ho. Still breastfeeding (thanks for the link Baby - the site is very helpful) and today seems to be going well - but it is only 7.45!!!
HV was meant to come today but cancelled as she is sick - just as well I'm not in desparate need (I think she was going to do the pnd questionnaire with me).
DD and DS back today so house is once again noisy and busy - bliss!!!
Hope everyone is ok - talk soon.
Lots of love Ali + Darcey xxx

Afternoon! Love all the gorgeous pics on MSN! All the babes are absolutely adorable. Still not quite able to believe I'll be able to post my own in a few months. Getting very scared about the whole prem baby thing now, and am convinced I definately won't make it past Christmas. Bought some tiny sleepsuits the other day... the early baby ones came in 2 sizes... up to 3lbs or up to 5lbs. So, trying to be optimistic I bought the 5lb ones If by some miracle Tom does make it though I'll have to go back and get some 3lb ones too methinks! (although I guess they don't really wear sleepsuits in the scbu when they're that little anyway ).
Am hoping we'll have more idea of when to expect things to happen after my next scan on Tues and we see what sort of state Tom is in.
I have read everyones posts but I have a severe case of preg brain at the mo (drives mum crazy when she tries to have a conversation about anything at all as everything literally goes in one ear and out the other), so I'm not going to attempt personals as it'll take me probably hours! But... hope all is OK Erica and Autumn... and Claire has been pretty quiet too hasn't she?
Lots of love to all mummies and babies xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi girls sorry I have taken so long to join you, finding it hard to find time to do anything at the moment.
Tyler is doing really well, he gained 13 ounces last week the little starver. I do seem to be feeding him all the time and I worry that he feeds out of boredom as I can't believe he can be hungry again after an hour.
Joanne are you breastfeeding Joel? Sorry I can't remember but wanted to ask as I started giving Tyler Colief yesterday and am wondering how other mums have managed to give it to a breastfed baby every feed. I didn't give it to him for his night feeds last night - bad enough feeding every 1.5 hours without all that performance too. Would be grateful of any info anyone might have.
Glad all you little uns are doing so well.
Thinking of you Summer anf hope its good news at your next scan.
Sorry for lack of personals - not too good at this one handed typing!
Take care all Sarah & Tyler xx

Sarah Liberty is having a similar thing to colief but I tend to give it every couple of feeds as it s a bit of a hassle!! Every 1-2 hours is normal for a breastfed baby-is it like this in clusters?ie are there times when he will go a bit longer? How long will he feed for each time? Does he feed from one side or both? Are you eating and drinking enough? Drink water every time you feed and try breastmilk tea-not sure where you would get it in the uk but if you managed raspberry leaf it's quite similar!! Porridge if you like it is a really good food fr increasing milk supply-hope this helps Baby x x

Sorry I've been away for soooo long, but I was having a nightmare of things. It took me 4 weeks to recover from giving birth! Then I got ear infection in both ears! And my Grandmother was sick and then passed away and then the funeral.
As for Kai, he was constantly feeding to the point where I was using bottle and breast! He would only fall asleep after a feed or if I took him in bed and up most of the night.
Now I've finally put EASY routine into action. Eat Activity Sleep You. It's great. I breastfeed him (at which point I eat and drink). Then I change his nappy and have a little play time. Then I keep an eye out for sleepy signs, when I get it, I give him a nap. This means I'm free to do stuff. At night I just don't do Activity, unless his nappy really needs changing. I do cluster feeds before bed time. But I haven't done dream feed yet, so he's not sleeping through the night, but does go straight to sleep. It's going well and the routine is not strict on time (i.e. I don't have to wake him up at set times e.t.c). Anyway, I'll know I've cracked it when he sleeps through the night. The best thing is he sleeps in his pram and not in my bed!! Yeah.
Kai has his first injections on Thursday!!
ALI Sorry to see you had a tough night. I hope all is going well now. I've had my tearful moments too.
SUMMER How are you and the twins? I'm sorry things have been a tough with your scans and stuff. I've been thinking of you!!
Hi everyone else. Hope everyone is coping well.

Hello! Autumn... just replied on your other thread. Glad things are settling down for you now... what a hectic few weeks you've had. Really sorry to hear about your Grandmother xxxxxxxxxxxx
Zoe... I'm so sorry my love, I completely forgot to say thank you for your post on Jan the other day. Am losing the plot at the mo! How are things with dp at the mo? Have you talked recently about how unhappy you are in that village? Have you considered privately renting elsewhere or would that cause massive probs whe n trying to get back on the housing list? We're still plodding along here even though we can't afford it. Will send in an application once the baby(s) are here. Oh poo. got to dash.. Daisy just projectile vomited in the living room xxxxxxxx

Well were back from our first family holiday & I'm shattered LOL... Joel came 2nd in a halloween fancy dress, But seems to off catched a cold or something very snuffly, Bless him... I put a couple of drops of Karvol on a blanket last night & he slept abit better than i thought he would, but i was worried as Karvol is for babies 3months onwards, Joel is now 10+2. But i only did 2drops instead of 6 as anyone else done this previously.
Sarah (babydust) I give Joel formula but in the info sheet you got with Colief there is a support number call it as they give lots of tips & advice. As I was getting conflcting doses of website, & box so i phoned them.
Sarah W Congrats hun I hope beanie sticks in there, I live in a row of four house, and well I was 1st with Joel, my next door neighbour is 27 weeks & just been told her neighbour is about 11 weeks, I wonder whats in the water LOL,
Back later Joel's woken!!!!!
I hope everyone else is ok...
Take Care Joanne x

Hope everyones well and sorry im not around much, we've had to get our head around things since Harry's heart scan - he has Tetralogy of Fallot and Complete atrio-ventricular septal defect, in a way its good that he has both as otherwise he would need surgery asap but one is stopping the other getting too bad (as u can see I hardley understand!) in another way its really bad (well its awful anyway that he has anything wrong but ykwim) as when He has his surgery its going to be a huge op at Alder Hey and they will fix both problems at the same time. They say there's about a 5% risk, may sound small but when somone puts that risk on your babys life its huge (im sure you all understand that) Im trying to stay strong but have my weepy moments, cant imagine sending him down for major heart surgery, my heart is breaking just thinking about it. Down syndrome is now not on my list of worries - it is nothing compared to the Op. Hopefully he wont need the op til he's about 14months but the heart specialist is seeing him every month to keep an eye on things.
He's a lovely baby, so wll behaved and sleeps through from about 10ish til 6/7am then has a bottle and a nappy change and goes back down til 10:30ish.
Im sorry for the lack of personals but I hope your all doing well, give babys a snuggle from me xxx

I managed to get Kai on a 3 hourly routine. The only problem was, four naps a day was too much because by the time he woke up, it was almost time for his naps. So now I'm trying 4 hourly, so he has three naps. So now he's taking his naps, but he gets hungrey around the old feeding times. So i'll have to give him longer feeds or top him up with some formula, until he's used to the routine. He's still not sleeping between 12am and 4am.
Has anyone had to deal with baby colds yet? How did it go? Kai hasn't got one yet, but I'll be taking him out more and am worried about him catching cold and having to breastfeed with it.
Are there pain killers for babies? I wanted to get some for his injection on Thursday. Otherwise I'll try breastfeeding, as I heard it has natural pain killing properties.
SUMMER Thanks for answering my EASY thread. It's nice to know the dream feed and cluster feeds work. I'm still not having any succsses though. He took ages to go to sleep last night and he woke up crying, just before his dream feed was due. Nightmare! How did you get on when you gave Daisy less naps and feeds as she got older, if you remember? Kai either wakes too early for his new feeding time. Or is hungery when it's nap time. Don't know if you have any tips for that???
JOANNE Sorry to hear Joel has a cold. What is Karvol? Is it like Vicks? Does it work?
MISSC Sorry to hear about Harry's heart problem, but it's good that he's keeping so well!! How did you manage to get him to sleep 10pm to 6am? I've been trying desperatly with Kai. Maybe I sould abandon EASY and learn from you and your baby :-)
Hi everyone else.

Missc sorry to hear about Harry, I can't imagine what you & your family are going through but my thoughts are with you & Harry, And he sounds a fab sleeper...
Autumn Karvol is drops you put on a hanky or blanket which helps them breath easier. Not sure if they have worked but was assured today by Gp they were safe for me to use.
Yes after a hellish night & constant screaming today I took Joel to docs as he has an upset tummy too, He has been put on dioralyte for 24 hours with Paracetamol so I guess its another sleepless night.
Autumn I was told by GP also that Calpol can be given from 7 weeks if baby is a good weight, I think 4kg weight was mentioned. Or at 1st injection if needed, Joels injection has been cancelled so were trying next week to try & get them started then.
So hows everyone else coping!!!
Got to sort Joel out So Take Care
Joanne x
