Loocy - you sound like you're doing great! Must be lovely to have a tiny baby again. I must admit I'm struggling coming to terms with how quickly Alfie's life is flashing before my eyes. I'd love to do it all again but a rerun with Alfie as opposed to another - no turning to the dark side for me

On the speech thing, Alfie can only say half a dozen words, but in the last two/three days he's made an attempt at a few new ones, so I think it suddenly will come in a big burst. He can't say mum but says daddy, daddy, daddy at the top of his lungs all the time! Why is that?

Summer - great to hear from you. Should have realised you'd be up to your eyes in MIL duties. Has she been any help? Will you maybe get a night out with dh?

Well done to Tom on walking, clever boy. Look how far he's come on his incredible journey. All the appts sound positive, hope it continues. Good that your comfortable with all the docs etc. Hope Jake's rash just turns out to be a flash in the pan. xxx

Laura - horrible about HV not knowing, really insensitive. Sound like you're very busy, hope you're taking care of yourself though and not over doing it. Good luck with K's appt when it comes.

Sam - going for number 5??? You're mad lol, but good luck. Glad all went well at hospital.

we had to go to a&e yesterday nathan jammed his fingers in ny neibours van doors and almost chopped them off bless him he has 2 layers of stitches but no brocken bones he blead lots and lots but is fine today as he is off to a scooter rally with his daddy in the caravan
right best go and get some housework done it feels like i havent done anything in ages lol i have but i cant really be bothered today lol

ha ha LOL our thread has been hijacked!!!! Sam sorry to hear about poor nathan hope his fingers are well. I know what you mean about wanting little babies - they are just beautiful when they are tiny and it really does make you broody for more. But don't worry, think DH and I have finished our family..... for now anyway. I reckon if I can ever persuade DH to have another it will take a few years!!!! But that's no problem for me I'm certainly in no mood to go through pregnancy again for a LONG TIME.

Hope everyone is well. It's very quiet on here these days so I hope folks are all just getting on with things. We haven't heard from Vicki in yonks and yonks!?! Hope all well hun.

As for things here, it's great. Eilidh is still being a VERY cheeky monkey but she's just so lovely with it, i can't get angry at her. And Lochlan is sleeping incredibly well, doing 6 hours for his long sleep at night now which is fab. They are both sleeping at the same time just now which is a very rare occurence indeed so thought I'd pop on for a quick catch up!!

just to let you all know i have had to delete myself from facebook as my eldests dad is back on the scene in a big way and i am really distraught about it
he has been seeing my auntie for a few months i only discoverd it on saturday so am still really shakey about the whole situation

hmmmm i dont know where to start with whats been going on around here i am off to the dr tho coz its affecting my sleep and everything i cant believe families can be so cruel sometimes

i had alfie weighed yesterdayand he is now 20 lb 2 ozs still very small but hv thinks he`s just going to be a small one so no referral needed yipeee all these months worrying and the new hv says everything is fine the old one was the one who was thinking of referring him
hes is now rinning around and throws the worst tannies sometimes grrrrrrrrrrr and when you tell him no he throws the nearest thing to him and then starts bashing his head on the floor wtf is that all about lol

on the ttc front its cd 16 today so have been jumping on matt everytime i get the chance pmsl i really want to catch that eggie this month with all thats been going on with my family it would be so nice to forget that and have a baby to concentrate on iv already been buying things i know absolutely mad arent i lol
oh well better go alfie is giggling to himself in the garden about something better go investigate

it's so quiet on here = you lot must be even busier than me!! Things here are going well - we had our 6 week check yesterday - can't believe it's only been six weeks as it feels like Lochlan has been here forever already.

Still breastfeeding and giving him a little bottle of formula at night although he's started spitting it out after about 2oz and acting like I'm trying to choke him when I put it back in. Not sure what's going on there?! I've also got the most immensely sore boobs - I'm expressing like mad to try to prevent mastitis. It's all the HV's fault as she told me to take him off if he's on there for more than half an hour as he doesn't need it - Eilidh was such an efficient feeder and used to only take about 10 minutes each side, whereas Lochlan is on there for AGES. So I followed her advice and have ended up with incredibly painful lumpy boobs because he's not emptying them properly and I'm feeling like sh*t it's the last time i listen to what any HV says. so I'm just nursing and expressing through the pain. poor me!

did any of you go on the mini-pill - my gp prescribed it to me as we definitely want to use contraception (LOL!!!) but I really don't know if I want to take it as my friend put on tons of weight on it - that's the last thing I need!!

Hey there Loocy - it's deathly quiet on here isn't it?

Well done with the b/f, sounds a nightmare. I remember the state I was in trying to keep going through the pain. As you know I failed miserably.

I'm on the mini pill, but I was on it before I ttc. I didn't have any side effects at all. I'm thinking though best to be slightly chubby than slightly pregnant, lol!!!!

I've been quiet because I've been getting a new kitchen. Let me sing it to you "I've got a neeeewww kitchen, I've got a neeeeww kitchen" Am soooooooo excited, might even be tempted to actually take up cooking, lol

hi girls - well i'm back from the dead, just about. I wouldn't wish mastitis on my worst enemy as it was horrific and i'm still recovering - I was lying in my bed, fully dressed under the duvet just shaking with cold for two days. i couldn't eat, couldn't sleep and ached all over.... anyway I'm on the mend and, for the first time ever, my inlaws have rallied round - DH took Eilidh up there for the weekend as it was a family get together and they have kept her for a couple of days to help me recover, so she won't be back til tomorrow evening. I do miss her a lot but I'm so glad I don't have to look after her at the minute!! And, I think it means it's the end of the line for BF'ing my little monkey. I'm going to take my time and it's upsetting to think about it, but I think it will be for the best to get him on a bottle during the day. He's feeding every half hour to an hour for about half an hour to an hour at a time adn I just can't keep it up with looking after Eilidh too. I'll just slowly get him onto it during the day. Mind you, I'm a bit nervous as I never bottle fed Eilidh so I've no idea how you go about knowing how much to feed and how often. Sounds stupid so can anybody offer me any tips? I'm going to continue with the night BFs til he's sleeping right through the night.

Mari congrats on your new kitchen - sounds fab!! And yes you are definitely right, a little extra on the waistline is much better than another bun in the oven!!! so will start taking it when I'm better and finished my antibiotics.

Summer you are very quiet these days - hope all is ok
