Just to say thanks for all your well wishes girls - it means a lot it really does! I'm doing ok - physically almost fully recovered. The bleeding has stopped mostly so that's a relief. I came back to work this week to try and get a bit of normality back if only for Kailtyn's sake. It's been really tough facing people as we had started to tell everyone.

Anyway - been occassionally popping on but not read all posts. Hope everyone is ok. Will pop on at some point and try to catch up with personals. Just wanted to come on and wish Loocy congrats really!!

Just thought I'd pop on, looks like Austin is Autistic. We are waiting for various referrals, but the dr we saw at the big assessment said he's grossly under developed in communication, interaction, and social skills.

hey ho

If anyone has any stories, or info, I would be grateful to hear them.

hi gals. Just a quickie.

Joey so sorry to hear about Austin's diagnosis, but at least he has had one and now you can start thinking about your options. I work for a charity that works with disabled people and so know a bit about autism but not a lot. A lot of it will depend on where on the autistic spectrum he is and how under developed his skills actually are - but don't ever give up hope because the ways of encouraging development in autistic children are getting better and better all the time - he'll just need a little extra encouragement, that's all.

laura - good to hear from you and glad that you are getting on with things. Keep us posted on how things are going for you - we totally understand if you're not around much at the mo. We're here when you need us, you know that.

Sam have you had your results yet? sorry if i missed your post - things have been a bit hectic!!!!

Summer hope you are enjoying your MIL being around!?

love to all
Loocy xx

Oh Jo, I'm sorry about Austin's dx. I don't have any experience but I know a few mum's on this board do. You could start a thread?
Big hugs hun xxxxxxxxx

Great news about the result Sam Smiler Not so great about everything else though so I hope its all sorted out for you asap Frowner

Loocy.. you sound very together Smiler How is Eilidh liking her new brother?

Saw the OT for Tom's assessment yesterday and she seems to think hes doing OK at the mo even though hes way behind Jake in development in many ways. Shes referring us for portage so he can have 1 to 1 attention from a development specialist at home each week.

Seeing the growth specialist in London tomorrow and have an early start so off to bed now. Nighty night. Big big hugs to Laura and Anita and Jo and Sam. And lots of love to Mari, Loocy, Vicki and all the littlies xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi everybody

First of all, Loocy, congratulations on your new baby!! Sorry to hear your birth was hard, but I'm sure it was worth it. Lovely name too. I presume it's scottish?

Laura, hun, I hope you're doing ok too.

Jo, sorry to hear about Austin. I don't much about autism I'm afraid, but I hope you get the help you need and the information you need.

Vicky, how's Katie, is she getting over her flu?

Summer, Mari and Sam, hope you and your babies are ok too.

Just a quick post to say congrats to Loocy really. We are ok over here. Yes, Mari, James is getting quite frustrated with the language. But hopefully now Freya can teach him some words too. Tho, we've decided to move we haven't done anything about it yet. We're going to England/Wales in two weeks, and will leave it until we get back before we start planning. Will be nice to get to see family and friends in the UK (and ASDA + Tesco.... I miss them..)
Freya is talking more and more now, she's doing really well. She has tantrums now and again too, but most of the time she's really good.

Right, she's off to bed now so better get going.

Hello to all ladies and babies.

Love
Anita

hiya everyone!

Summer - how did the appt with the growth specialist go? Glad to hear that Tom is developing well even if he is behind Jake - at least he'll be getting some 1 to 1 support, which will help no end.

Sam - good to hear that things are settling down for you and that you are ok.

Anita - lovely to hear from you and glad things are going well. Enjoy your trip over to Blighty!

Things here are going well so far, but just taking each day as it comes. Lochlan is, touch wood, sleeping between 5-6 hours a night at the minute, so I'm well impressed!! he is really unsettled and wants to feed all evening but it means I get to sit in front of the tennis and not feel too guilty!!! And he seems a fairly happy sort of chappy so far - when he's awake he just enjoys looking round him and Eilidh is constantly looking at him, holding things up for him to see and generally entertaining him, so I don't even have to worry about that. Mind you, she does keep leaning on him to kiss and cuddle him which he's none too happy about!!!

Anyway hope everyone else is well - DH goes back to work next week so no doubt everything will change then when I have the two of them on my own Eeker

love to all
Loocy xxx
