Sam - when will it ever end for you? Hope you feel better soon xxx

Loocy - nothing you can do but wait. Damn stork option never arrives on time, dancing pixies was the way to go I'm telling you!

Peanut - thanks for the update on Tom, really good of you x

Summer - thank goodness it seems to have gone well. Have to say I did smile at the description of the aftermath, a bit like my labour stitches then, lol Sorry to make light but it helps get through things sometimes. Hope you're all well and you're looking after yourself as well as the boys and Daisy. Make sure you eat and try to get some sleep. Lots of love to you all xxx

Vicki - how's married life for you? All sickening wedded bliss? lol

Hi everybody

Sorry I haven't been online for a while. Just had to get my head around everything that happened and sort of change our plans a little. We are doing fine now, and I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for all your well wishes.

Laura ((hugs)) What can I say!!! I am so sorry!!! It is such an awful thing to have to go through!! I was 10 weeks when I lost, and tho I didn't have much pain, it was the worst experience of my life. I suppose what I can say, is that time is a great healer, and even tho I see pregnant women everywhere, all my friends are either pregnant or just had babies, and I keep thinking I should have been too..., I have come to terms with it more now. I hope my time will come again, and I am sure yours will too. I think it was Summer who said it gets better when your body is getting back to normal, and I did find that when I stopped bleeding things got a bit easier. We could then think about starting again. ALSO, I have definitely enjoyed some wine and eating things pregnant women shouldn't!!!! Anyway, I hope you recover and I am thinking about you.

Loocy, any time now. How exciting. I will be checking for news every day

Summer, So glad Tom's operation went well. You must be relieved.

Vicky, I have seen your pictures. You look lovely and Katie so cute. Looks like you had a wonderful time. Congratulations.

Sam, well done on Alfie's walking.

Mari, hope you and Alfie are well too.

Freya is doing fine. She's babbling away now. Saying quite a few words too. Some in English and some in Norwegian. It's bizarre but she understand both languages quite well. Went to see the nursery she's starting in August. She's the only girl!!!!! With 8 boys!!! Not sure what I think of that really. Can't decide if I want to ring and ask to get her moved or not. What do you guys think?

Also, after my miscarriage, we have made a decision to move to Bergen. It is a bigger city with more things happening. James doesn't really like this place. It's too quiet, and too close to my family I think....

Anyway, better get going. Off to work soon.
Just again. Thanks for all your kind words and Laura, I hope you're doing ok hun

Love Anita

Hi Anita

Soooo good to hear from you sweetie. You sound much better. Lovely words for Laura too at such a difficult time.

How's James managing grappling with the language? Can imagine him getting really p!ssed off when his one year old can say more than him, lol!

Hope your move to Bergen works out, is that near by? Can you still have the same jobs? When do you think you'll move?

Re Freya in with all boys - I don't think it will matter too much now, but maybe in a couple of years it might. At the moment it's all about developing their social skills, sharing, playing and such like so I don't think gender comes into it. I'm probably not best qualified to answer your question, but I think it'll be ok for now. Smiler

Take care xxx

Sam - You'll be taking out shares in the hospital, the amount of time you've been in and out recently! Poor you. Is it ok for you to be ttc?

Summer - hope you're well and Tom is making good progress. Worrying about you all. xxx

Laura - more hugs to you. Feel kinda useless as nothing will make it any better for you Frowner

Just wanted to leave a separate post for Laura. Mari good to hear from you - LOL we x-posted!

Sam - hope things are on the up for you and they get your PID sorted very soon.

peanut hunny thanks for the updates from Summer and really glad to hear tom is all home and is on the mend - bless his poor ickle sausage!!!

Anita good to hear from you and glad you are well on the way to recovering and getting over your ordeal. I'm sure you will give Laura lots of hope.

I wouldn't worry too much about Freya being in with lots of boys at this age!!!! Glad to hear she is becoming bilingual - her friends will be very jealous!!! Eilidh is babbling tons too - she has some really funny favourite words like dog (which applies to any animal apart from cats at the minute!!!) push (when she's on the swings!), shoes, juice, and my favourite, in the bath which is 'teeth' when I've forgotten to give her her toothbrush. And she says 'da-dee' in this really sweet way to DH which melts his heart! Bless. She also says no a bit too often for my liking!!! I ask her if she's ready to get out the bath and she says 'no' LOL!!! She also says no to all the vegetables I try to make her eat at the minute!!!

Love to everyone and will let you know when there's news

Hello ladies.....

Hi Summer - nice to see you posting. Let us know how Tom Thumb and you are baring up when you get a chance xxxx

I wanted some advice/suggestions if any of you have the time. Poor wee Alfie man's bum is in a horrendous state!!! He's been scratching and clawing it like mad (it's not worms). It's more like the top of his buttocks, bottom of his back, exactly where the nappie line is really.I think it's annoying him, he looks like he's been lashed!! Frowner I tried a different type of nappie - the pull ups but they are sooooo not designed for Alfie's toddler poo - major leakage everywhere!!!

A friend suggested talcum powder, I didn't think you were meant to use that on babies(?)

It seems weird it's just started. I've used the same nappies (pampers) since he was born.

Any ideas? Much appreciated xxx

Hey Mari Smiler Sounds like a tricky one. Not sure what I'd do... probably slap Sudocrem on it as it seems to sort most lumps, bumps and rashes out. Have never used talcum powder on any of the kiddies so not sure about that.

We're all good here... spart from the fact my MIL arrived today for her NINE Eeker weeks stay.
Today was just fine... but really.... I feel exhausted thinking about the 9 weeks ahead... almost brings me to tears.

Tom is super... and almost there with his walking now... finally. Hes great holding one hand now... Should think he'll go solo within the next 2 weeks Big Grin Did I mention the other ops he'll have to have now? Consultant was going to bring his left testicle down at the same time as his other op... but couldn't find it at all. So after our follow up clinic appt in Sept he'll be booked in for an investigative op (with a little camera) to see if he has one hiding anywhere. If its found he'll need another op to bring it down or remove it (consultant half expects it to be abnormal).
Seeing the growth specialist in London again next Fri so we'll see what he has to say about growth hormone. Also seeing an OT and physio next wk. Then we're seeing the local endo on the 4th July so lots going on.

Laura... how are you doing? Stupid question really.
Anita... lovely to hear you sounding brighter Smiler
Sam... whats happening now? You so so so so deserve a let up in health probs. Its never ending Frowner
Loocy...... am very excited for you. You've been quiet for a couple of days... actually... haven't checked June thread ... will go have a look now. Can't wait to find out what you're having. Don't know why, but I imagine you with another little girl Smiler
Vicki... hope all is good with you guys. Have you started work on the garden yet?

Lots of love to everyone xxxxxxx

Hi guys just a quickie and I'll catch up properly soon I promise!!

Lochlan Robert arrived on Sunday 22nd June at 2.49am after an incredibly long, painful and difficult back labour - who said second babies were easier??!? I started having really bad backache on the Friday evening and woke up on Saturday morning with really painful but very irregular back contractions which eventually graduated round to my tummy. Around 3pm they started coming every 5 minutes or so so started to get organised for going to hospital but they didn't come any more frequently til about 7pm. got to hospital at 8pm 4cm dilated thinking it wouldn't be long - little did I know he was back to back and I was in for the long haul. I managed withouth pain relief til about midnight and then just couldn't cope without gas and air, then had to have pethidine and once it wore off I started pushing around 2.30am and my waters broke literally as his head crowned. They went pop and out he came.

He weighed 9lb 5oz!!! But he is just beautiful and was worth it!!! Big Grin But, I had the same complications as last time and my placenta got stuck again so I had to have a manual removal in theatre. Have just been discharged from hospital and just got home.

Best go as wee man needs winding - breastfeeding so far going well and much much easier second time around

love
Loocy xxx
