Hi

Summer - goodluck for Tom, hope it goes well and he has a quick recovery. Thinkingof you all!!

I did post a few days ago in reply to the tooth/nap thing but lost it (first time that's happened to me!) AND DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO RETYPE! (whoops - capslock!)

so...Loocy - two of my mates are dental hygienists and I spoke to them about this a while ago as I was worried I'm notbrushing Kaitlyn's well enough. They said the main thing was the teeth were coming into contact with the flouride toothpaste and if she chews the brush with it on that should be ok until I can persuade her to do it a bit better. (she still only has 7 teeth by the way!!! Roll Eyes) She is getting better but likes to brush your teeth at the sametime as I'm treying to brush hers - which isn't ideal (DH started that!!! Roll Eyes). As for naps..she has never gone down wellin the day and I don't even bother with the cot as it's too much hard work (bad enough settleingher at night in there!!!) So I either take her fora walk or if it's raining timeit so I'm going out in the car when she is tired and she goes offin her car seat (I can usually transfer her to her pushchair when we get to wherever without her waking up!). Not ideal butit works for us. I'm starting to worry how I'm going to manage two little ones who will no doubt nap at diff times but nevermind! Hope you get somewhere soon looce!!! So excitedfor you!

We are ok here - saw my midwife last week and mentioned the dizzyness - she saidit wasmore than likely hormones and it would prob go off - which it has mostly. Feeling ok to be honest - just tred still. I also told my boss yesterday and although she made some insensitive comments ("was it planned?" she shrieked as soon as I told her!) she was generally ok with it and did congratulate me!! (although she did ask 3 times ifI was goingto come back this time!!!!!)sadly - yes I do have to go back!! ho hum.

Sam - glad you enjoyed your hol! How is your health these days - feeling ok?

Vicky - go Vic - c'mon you can do it - we need another baby on here!!!!
Mari - you know you want to as well!!! he he he

better go - going to my godsons 6th birthday party! at a christening tomorrow as well so it's all go!

Have a good weekend all!!

Lx

hiya everyone - sam thanks for the update about summer. I have a nosey at bumples every now and then but don't really post there. Summer - we're all still thinking of you and hope you and wee tom are home safe and sound!

as for things here, twinges have stopped altogether so think baby has got very comfy in there and decided to hang on a bit longer - it's horrendous in this heat and I know I shouldn't complain when the sun comes out, but..... Frowner

Laura thanks for the toothpaste/brush info - think it's yet another one of those things we just have to be patient about and hope that the good habits pay off in the long run. took eilidh to the eye doctor today who thankfully said she doesn't have a squint or a lazy eye!!! hurrah. But she's on 6 month check ups now because I'm so horrendously short sighted, it's in my family and it's in DH's family so they said they'll just keep testing her eyes but it's highly likey she'll inherit short-sightedness to some extent poor lamb. Ah well, at least glasses are semi-cool these days and not like when i was young!!!

hope all well with everyone
love
Loocy xx

No girls not left you yet to have the baby!! My mum has been down so I've been busy resting while she's been taking care of DD!!! We went to a wedding yesterday too which was just lovely - one of my bridesmaids, so I would have been gutted if we'd missed it. It was such a fab day and she just looked so beautiful. I even managed to last til about 10pm before I nagged DH to go home, which I reckon was pretty impressive!!!! Mind you i did get so fed up with everyone coming up and touching my bump and saying wow you don't have long do you????

But not much is happening - I keep getting really painful BH/contraction type pains for hours on end but they aren't going anywhere and just seem to pootle off - the MW said that BHs can get really painful in second pregnancies. We even tried BD'ing a few days ago but nada, zip, zilch! Was so disappointed as it was a bit of an effort so not sure i'm going to manage it again unless I get really desperate!!! I've got my consultant appt on the 25th june and I'm going to ask for an early induction as I really am soooo fed up and I was induced last time and it wasn't that bad. there's a full moon next week, though, so you never know!!!!

Sam am so sorry to hear you have PID you poor thing. here's hoping that it can all be sorted for you.

Summer much love to Tom hope he's well on the mend

love to everyone else
Loocy x

Update from Georgie - sorry she did send me this yesterday but I didn't get a chance to post!

All home safe and sound now. Tom had a new catheter in after theatre friday which came out saturday. No dressing on at all now which is a bit scary as things are still healing and a bit weepy and sore. His willy looks like a sausage thats been butterflied and had the middle bit burnt on a bbq. All a bit horrific but after the next op in 9 months or so it'll all be put back together and should look quite good.... so we've been assured! His balls look fantastic, amazing as he had practically nothing there before... sorry - all tmi!

ps - her broadband is down at the mo!

Hi Girls

Summer - great to hear Tom is back home - hope he has a speedy recovery bless him!

I'm afraid I've got some bad news. I had a miscarriage over the weekend. It was pretty horrific and not really straight forward. I started bleeding on saturday morning - light and brown at first but it soon got lots worse and red with clots. Went to A&E - they got me an appt with EPAU on Monday and sent me home but I went back to A&E 10.30pm on Saturday night (that was fun!)as it got worse and when I got out of the car it all just gushed. Waited 2 hours to see a doc in A&E then some more as they decided to admit me to Gynae. I was just beeding (and freaking) the whole time and was in extreme pain (like labour pains) Was ok though cos they gave me a parcetemol and codeine. Roll Eyes
Got no sleep and was just bleeding the whole time. Got a scan yesterday morning and they confirmed the baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks (i was supposed to be 11 weeks yesterday)and had no heartbeat. So, back to the ward and they gave me the option to wait and see what happened or take tablets to speed it up which I did. Cue the most agonising few hours of my life. It was agony and I ended up having to ask for morphine which helped a bit. In the end I didn't pass it but the doc had to remove it herself. Which in a way for me was better cos at least I knew where it was then and didn't have to look at it myself. The whole thing was traumatic and I think I just feel a bit numb now.
Sorry if all that was a bit TMI! I feel so sad that I'm not pregnant anymore and sick of people saying it's natures way! I KNOW THAT but it doesn't help! I'm quite a strong person and DH has been brilliant so I'm sure we'll get through it. I just hope none of you ever have to go through that ever!!

Lx
